I'm totally seeing a difference in my body since I started doing the weight training too. I'm not trying to lose weight at the moment, but my arms and legs still look slimmer and more toned.
When I'm in the bathroom getting ready in front of the mirror I can see all my muscles moving around as I do my hair and put on my makeup. It's very cool! And actually, the other day one of my girlfriends complimented me on my shoulders and asked if I'd lost more weight--I haven't, of course, but the toning seems to give the illusion of a little weight loss.
