So far today I've eaten totally clean- at least my interpretation. But if you haven't, either because you had a great celebration and want to tell us about every juicy morsel, or you had a miserable day and the only thing standing between you and homicide were three snickers bars and some peanut butter crackers, if you are a regular LWL poster, THIS is the place to tell us.
Well i Had a terrible Day. i Was doing fine BUt then i came home and ate...Drums Please.......Chocolate bar, bag of popcorn, 3 SLICES OF PIZZA, AND Vanilla pudding! It Totally Sucked!! Now i am a bit depressed but tomorrow i have to do better. I am afraid the 5lbs i lost, might have been gained back today.. :@
This thread kind of reminds me of the "confessionals" they have in reality tv shows. You know where person is hiding in their room or closet and talking into a video camera that is taping them in "night vision" mode.
Okay. Here's mine.
I had a really yummy lunch with DH. I ate sourdough bread, two slices and a chicken salad sandwich with bacon. Bread pudding with white chocolate and dark cherries for dessert. During the whole meal I kept telling DH "I really shouldn't be doing this today, I've committed myself for a significant loss by Spring." He has assured me that this was my last tempting meal for a while.
Trust me, DH will not let me go backwards without a fight. My penance for lunch was a protein shake for dinner and a hard boiled egg white. Back to ice water and gum for the rest of the evening.
I have to tell you though, the business men sitting right next to us were drooling over our dessert when it came out. One of them spoke about how he started working out and is trying to cut back to keep his girlish figure...
Okay. Back on track for tomorrow. "It's all about the next meal... and it will be clean." Hey, it's breakfast!
My next challenging meal will be on March 9th. DH and I have a dinner with his department that evening. We get to choose the restaurant so I have a little control there. I'm thinking steamed shrimp...no butter and a baked potato.
SUSANB: Ooooh I have a deep dark history with oatmeal raisin cookies. Don't even get me started. mmmmm.
Yummy, Lydia! Did you eat in Easton? DD and I ate at The Ocean Club last time I was there and it was great. But I don't remember that dessert on the menu!
When we had this thread up a few years ago, we called it "The Confessional"
MEL: I cringed when I saw that you replied to my message first and so soon. I'm thinking, she's going to ban me from the forum forever.... Here it comes
We SHOULD have eaten at the Ocean Club. I could have had the shrimp there! I just didn't think about it as an option until after lunch. Instead we ate at BRIO, Tuscan Grille. It's my favorite one there especially in the summer. The have wonderful al fresco seating in front of the fountain gardens. Sometimes DH and I will take the boys to play in the fountains while we sit on the patio and drink...herbal ice teas of course. But they always insist upon bringing out that bread!
I stayed within calories yesterday but it was coffee regular from Tim Hortons and rum and diet coke. Miseable miserable drive to pick up the college boy.
I've been brewing a cold for a few days and today I've got my appetite back. Good food but ... two chicken legs and everything on the breast my son took but didn't eat. I'd normally eat that much chicken in three sittings ... not three minutes.
Geez, I'm really not looking forward to bumping this one up....
Well, here goes - Saturday at dinner I had 3 stuffed, breaded fried olives, and then after my wonderful tuna steak, I had dessert! I'm a sucker for anything coconut - this was a multi-layer chocolate cake with coconut filling and frosting! Yes, it was worth it!
The good news is that I didn't have any cocktails with dinner.
Yesterday was then very iffy - I was hungry all day. The bad thing was a thing of Trader Joe's spinach/artichoke dip. Yes, the whole thing! After the fact I saw that is was about 400ish calories, plus the ww tortilla chips I ate with it.
Onward and upward today - I've made a YOU: turn, and I'm back on track!
Cindy
yesterday was my bridal shower. And over the course of the day, not counting the ever-flowing wine, champagne, and champagne cocktails (it was a wine tasting shower...) I had a turkey and havarti sandwich on a sourdough roll, 6-8 hershey kisses, some spinach salad, some pasta/roasted veggie salad, a handful of chocolate chex mix, a few crackers with cheese, and not one, not two, but THREE desserts (i took the smallest possible pieces of chocolate cake and cheesecake...less than 1 inch each for sure...and 4 chocolate-dipped strawberries).
So, yeah, the eating was out of hand. But I've decided to just compare it to how I used to eat over a day with a party and call it a wash. And do a bonus workout today.
Last night I was feeling too tired to cook, and we have shopping errands to do, so we went to Applebee's for dinner.
On their Weight Watchers menu, they have two items that use whole grain breads in them. One is an appetizer - chicken chipolte quesadilla (or something like that), which I didn't have, because it had mushrooms in it, and DF won't eat those!
The other was the Chicken Portebello sandwich - a grilled chicken breast with grilled portebello slices and tomato on a whole wheat bun. This is what I had, and it was really good. All of the nutritional info was there in the menu. It came with sliced pineapple, but I really wish I could have had a side-salad as an option with it. It was about $7.
I was pretty pleased that I was able to go out and have something totally OP!
