HELP, flabby arms!

  • Okay so I recently joined this website forum hoping to lose weight but to my dismay found the absolute perfect prom dress for myself in my perfect size. So unforunately I can't begin on my weight loss journey as of yet but I do really want to thin and tone up my arms. Any suggestions would be great, thank you guys so much!
  • My suggestion would be to lose weight anyways because being overweight is just not healthy, period... When is your prom, in April or May? Depending on the amount of weight you lose, the dress could just look looser and not so snug on Prom night... You could still lose some weight and have the dress taken in just before prom night?... Just my thoughts ....

As for toning your arms or anywhere else for that matter, you cannot spot reduce... You need to lose the fat on top of the muscle before the muscle shows through in order for your arms to look "toned"...

Could we see a pic of you in your dress? I love pics and prom dresses... DD is going to a prom, I think, not her's, but a good friend who has asked her already, I'M excited!!

I hope this helps, keep us posted on your progress too...
  • Hi there,

I have the same problem I'm afraid. However, even though I still have a lot of weight to lose my arms definitely look better they have tone and muscle definition. You'll still have fat on top of course that will eventually shift - but your arms will look a whole let better even if they still need work. I started to notice significant changes after about four months working out 3 times a week.
  • My prom is actually earlier than others.. it's March 24th, so it's creeping up on me! Thanks though.. I never thought about maybe taking the dress in a bit.
  • Yes I believe they call these beauties the "fidubidas". (flabola arms) I have em too!!! Grr how annoying are they.

English Muffin- what excersizes did you do or was it just general weight loss?
