Susan Artmaker - Love the new avatar! About why I needed the therapy: I got a burnout in the spring of 2004, then a depresssion on top of that early in 2005, and then my XH walked out on me and the kids in the autumn of 2005. I've been in therapy since I was 6 months into burn out. The funny thing actually is that although I was devastated when XH walked out on me, I started perking up amazingly since he left and I broke contact, and now I can swim on my own again. Looking back I now realise that the guy was actually always putting us down. Like the other day my DD was very proud of herself because she could do roots and powers in mathematics (she is 12 yrs old), and I noticed that he kept asking here to do more on the phone untill she did not know the answer, and of course he did. The question he stopped at was how much the square root of -9 is, which is NOT something you can expect a 12 yr old to answer. IMO it was just again a way of pushing her down, and I told her that it was amazing that she could do so much in the first place, and that he was just showing off.
Oh well, that was the long answer to a short question.
Good news is that i DID 15 mins treadmill & UBWO yesterday, I did 15 mins treadmill today, and i'm all set up for LBWO.
And, I went to the hairdresser yesterday for a perm and I have curls again!!! Funny, but I feel much much cheered now when I look into the mirror.
Elisa- I lived there a really long time ago! We left 23 years ago. Dh grew up in Welland, went to Waterloo, then we lived between Yonge and Bayview, just north of Sheppard Ave. Every once in a while we talk about moving back, check the housing prices in TO and forget about it! We'd have to live in Barry!
Glad to see you back SusanB!
Hi Rabbit. Curls?
OK, folks, this has been a chatty two weeks. I'm breaking the thread. See you on the next one!
