Default I am home

I came home today from the hospital. I went from planning on going home on Thursday to throwing up and then having diareah. this all happened after they took my IV out and of course had to put it back in. they thought it was an infection, but seemed to just be my body working it's way back to normal.

I am having a hard time with the food. I can't stand the mashed potatoes, didn't like the cottage cheese, (which I love) and could barely stand the applesauce. the sugar free jello was too sweet also. I guess taste buds really changed.

I think Ice water is okay and I now love the EBY'S fruit bars with no sugar added, the taste and tart are there.

going to bed now. talk at you all later.

BUFFY!!!

Glad to hear that you are home!!!!
we were getting worried!

Maybe clear liquids for a couple of days would be good for you. Chicken broth! I know my surgeon rushed me food wise but I was on clear liquids for 2 days, full liquids, like protein drinks for two days and then mushy food....and that was pushing it.

Stick to the clears for a day or two and progress from there.

Jiff is on her way over here...I'm gonna make sure she see you!

hugs....rest, sip and walk.

Welcome back Buffy, I know that your friends will be so happy to hear from you. I am not in a position to say anything about recovery because I have not had WLS. I know that you will get plenty of support and information from the wonderful chicksters.

I am glad to know you are home, you are safe and I look forward to hearing of your journey to the destination you have chosen for yourself.

oh honey. yes this isn't peachie. it's jiffy

sorry to hear you were in there a little longer than you wanted, but glad all is going well.

and as with EVERY aspect of this surgery, if it's not working for you, don't worry about it. just try something else. so don't worry about not being able to eat the mashed potatoes. they don't have any protein anyway.

just glad you're safe and well. we were getting worried.

gotta scoot. will be back later.

Concentrate on HEALING now. Let your innards rest...remember, our bodies get P*SSED OFF at us when we try to change them! Think beautiful thoughts, and drink--drink--drink your water!!

And I'll celebrate for you by dancing!

Glad to see your home. I agree with the clear liquids then move up to full liquids I was told to progress slowly before going to even mushy foods, REST , REST, REST ! We all know that the best rest come in our own home not at a hospital. Keep us updated and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers

Glad you're home. Just do what feel good and don't rush into anything. You've made major changes to your body and it will let you know what it does and doesn't like. Just don't force anything.
