Hi
I've been battling with a weight problem for 13 yrs, was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) 2 years ago and losing weight has gotten even harder!!! So I've decided to go for the gastric bypass.
I have a date for Oct 21. I'm nervous about all the needles and what not but I'm trying to figure a little while being scared or uncomfy will sure help a lifetime of feeling good.
I've enjoyed reading all the posts and look forward to getting to know you guys
welcome purpleroses!!! jump right in.. ask lots of questions.. post often. this is a lifelong commitment as you well know, so we're all in this for the long haul
Good luck on your surgery date. Keep reading and posting. We may not know all of the right answers but we have losts of opinions. Take what is right for you. This is for the rest of your life and I have not read that anyone is unhappy for the decision that they made. I myself can't believe the thing that come out of my mouth they would have never been thought about just 2 months ago. All for the good. I can't believe that I have to schedule to eat. That would hve never occoured to me before. as I ate all the time. I am never hungry now. That's a good thing.

My wife had weight loss surgery and has PCOS. The surgery was in July 2003. She has now been regular these past two months, before it was like every 5 or 6 months. Please visit her website www.geocities.com/deztx1980 Maybe you will find some information useful. Don't forget to sign her guestbook.
