A sad announcement
 

It is with a heavy heart that I let you know our moderator Jiffypop has passed away. She has had a history of heart conditions, and apparently passed peacefully in her sleep. She has no more pain, and no more worries.

We will remember her fondly as a person who continually gave selflessly to others. She cared so much about each of us on this forum, and did everything in her power to share her wealth of information, help guide us, build us up when we needed it, and encourage us along our weight loss journey.

Rest in peace, dear Jiffy. Claim your angel wings, darlin'!

I am so sorry to read this.

Though I was not a regular in the forums she moderated, I often read her energetic, common-sense and heartfelt posts with admiration for the woman behind them.

I am sorry for her family and for everyone here who connected with her over the years.

I'm so sorry. Like Saef, I didn't post on the boards she was on most, but I did note her caring and helpful nature. Prayers going out to her family and friends.

I, too, did not interact with her extensively. But she brought so much energy and love to these forums. Claiming her wings, indeed. She will be missed.

Oh my goodness, she was such a giver, I am so sorry to read this! She was such a bright spirit! My thoughts are with her friends and family.

I'm so sorry. She was so positive in the face of challenges. I read her posts here with pleasure and, way back, on The Skinny Daily, Juju Ridl's blog.

I'm sorry to hear it as well. I read her posts when I came across them as well, and I also noticed that she had a good energy to her.

She guided so many through this thread and the others. RIP, Jiffy.

I never interacted with her but am very sad to see this. Best thoughts for her spirit.

I also never interacted with her, but did read her posts here and there. She always seemed very caring, and happy. RIP

Jiffy truly cared about all of us, and always made the effort to help, advise, and support our members for well over a decade. The news of her passing has saddened us all. She will be missed. :(

I don't think we could ever express how much of an impact Jiffy made to people of this forum. She guided so many people on their weight loss surgeries throughout the years as well as provided encouragement and advice for others she knew. I never met her and I wish I had but I know she was every bit as kind and gentle in person as she was on this forum.

She also made many good friends with people on this forum and my condolences go out to those that were lucky enough to call Jiffy friend.

RIP Jiffy. She was such a helpful source of information to me while I was in my pre-op stage to get my weight loss surgery. She will be missed.

I didn't know her, but I offer my condolences to her friends, family, and the people that she touched. She sounds like she was a great person. RIP, Jiffy.

I am heartbroken. Jiffy was such a wonderful person and a great encouragement to me on this journey. She will be dearly missed. :cry:

Very sad to hear. Over the years I have enjoyed her wit and wisdom in lots of posts. 3FC has resulted in many a friend that we will never get to meet or see but became a very important person in our lives. RIP Jiffy.

I remember jiffy from the 100lb club about 11/12 years back might be worth linking up there for anyone who might remember.

What a shame. I wandered into the WLS forum on occasion and found her to be a voice of reason and inspiration. She will be remembered.

Oh I am so sorry to hear this :( Whenever I saw Jiffypop's name commenting on a thread, I would click on it, she was always so encouraging, and forthright, and caring. A dear lady.

I am very shocked and saddened to hear this. Although I did not have surgery, I have been involved in some discussions with her. She was very knowledgeable and helpful to everyone. She recently mentioned she was having some problems, but I never expected this.

I have not had weight loss surgery, nor will I, but my best friend did so I peek in on this forum often to see how everyone is doing.

This is very sad news.

I always enjoyed reading her post to others.
