Ok, so far I suck at this. BUT...I am parking in the very last furthest parking spot away from the building and walking into work. Oh and I have cut the grass with a push mower twice.
Me too Ann, I suck at this as well. Although the other day I did get on the treadmill and then the next day i scrubbed all my floors and light fixtures.. does that count LOL My face was red LOl
I've taught my little 6 y/o granddaughter to ride her bike FINALLY!!!! Have been babysitting the three y/o GD so there is a 28 pounder on the back of my bike and off we go. Can't ride as much or as a far with the new rider, but it has been fun. Oh, did I mention my bike-butt hurts!!! I've had to carry a "dog-wacker" because people in the country do not tie up their animals. DUMB people! We rode to the old bridge site and watched them pour the concrete for the new bridge. It was amazing. I won't be riding today and won't be able to swim......guess I just ought to enjoy myself.
Today is the first day in months that I am by myself........I kind of like it, but keep trying to find something to eat. It is raining outside and I can hardly concentrate on my housework and reading because I want to eat!!!! Some habits never die!!!
I was watching a yoga program with my 9 y/o GS and mentioned that I would like to do yoga, but didn't think that I could. My little darling (not) GS said, "Why Granny? Because you are at the end of your life and don't think that you could learn it?" LOL! I punched him and rolled him around until he yelled uncle! He then told me I'm in pretty good shape for an old lady! Boy, is it time for school to start!!!! LOL!!!
OK I am 3 weeks (this week) post op and have been told I can do everything but stomach exercises! I am going to do WATP even if I can obly handle 15minutes!! Ill let you know how I did !! ( I even bookmarked the thread)
ok. i'm proud to report progress!!! i walked up a flight of stairs FIVE TIMES today. not all at once, of course, and slowly, but it's better than struggling up a flight only ONCE a day!!!
MORE good news!!!! some of you know that i've been dealing with atrial fibrillation for the past couple of years, and it's not always easy. for several months, it's been really hard for me to move without having some ISSUES. but something happened the other day, and it's made such a difference!
something seemed to re-set in my body - and i started moving BETTER!!!! less breathlessness, better sleeping, faster pace. don't get me wrong - i'm woefully out of shape, but i did the grocery shopping yesterday, and moved through the store faster than i've been able to do in a long time.
now, it looks like i'll have to do something about new shoes - faster moving = more joint stress. but it's something i'm HAPPY to deal with!! YAY!!!
