Well, we are certainly not doctors to tell you whether your body ACTUALLY needs more food or not, BUT...when I think about it, it seems logical that we are actually shedding blood which could mean we may need more iron or protein. Maybe our bodies are gearing up for that.
I have also recently learned that when we change our eating patterns, especially if it was drastic as in my case, it throws our hormones out of balance. That to me may also indicates a possible change in our body's nutritional needs. But like I said, just my thoughts.
