It's been said that you can CHANGE your "Body Weight" but not your "Body Shape." You can not "spot reduce" but you CAN "spot tone."

Sure, you can lose weight, tone, tighten etc. But the genetic shape of your body... Apple? Pear? Orange? - will stay the same. I am infinitely heavier in the hips/thighs. When I lose weight, I lose it all over (everyone does!). But the ratio of my hips to my waist... doesn't matter if I weigh my happy weight of 130ish or my unhappy weight of 160ish... my hips are ALWAYS outta line in accordance to my waist. Little waist, big hips. Makes shopping for pants quite difficult, whether I wear a 12 or an 8!
