Default *&^% new scale

I went to step on my big old upright analog scale this morning and found my 5 year old son jumping on it as hard as he could. Well needless to say it said I weighed 50 pounds, LOL What a great diet it must have been. So I decided after I dropped him off at school this afternoon I'd run over to Target and get a new scale..................oh the joy of a new digital scale, LOL
Well anyways, I bought a Taylor Electronic scale for 19.99 (you get what you pay for, I know) and took it home. Mind you mid afternoon, mid TOM and I am starkers in the house weighing myself. I know, what a picture. On the hard wood floors (ok, not so level in an old house) I weighed 154 and 155.5, on the tile floor in the bathroom (really not even close to level) I weighed 161(gasp) and on the wood floor of my bedroom I weighed 154 and 157.5. So I gave in and put the scale in the basement (only level cement floor in the whole place and now the stupid thing says I weigh 151.5. (This is where the other scale has always been because my clothes are down there, LOL). So whats a girl to do?
Personally I have decided I like the basement weigh in the best, so I think I'll keep it because my jeans are getting smaller, LOL

The moral of this story: Don't break your scale no matter what!!!

It doesnt matter, just stick to one place and weigh there. So you might be a bit higher or lower give or take a few pounds, but at least it will be consistant.

Maybe the moral of the story is for us to invite your son to our house so we can lose 100 lbs overnight. I'd put it where the old scales were and leave it there.

That's the scale I've got. I hate that scale. I usually have to weigh myself about 3 or 4 times... the first time is usually lowest, then the second time it's a little higher and I keep weighing until I get the same number several times. It's also exactly 5lbs higher than the scales at my doctors office and at Curves. So when I weigh myself at home, I have to subtract 5. Which sucks looking at the wrong numbers. I'd like to see the real one flash on there, especially once I get down into the 200's again. I want to SEE 299 when it happens... not 5lbs later!

Oh well, I bought a new one off Amazon.com. After reading reviews, I settled on the Omron HBF-400. We shall see if it was worth the $39.99 or if it's going to go through the window too!

Hmm maybe I should get another one. It really is a bummer. I'm just gonna leave it where the old one was and only weigh myself in the morning after I go to the bathroom and before I put any of those darned heavy clothes on, LOL I haven't been to the doctors office in many years.....I just don't want to get on a scale in front of her smarmy little nurse.
Madscientist-You will get there soon!!! Just be sure to weigh naked!!!
