Lose it by July 4th---6 weeks to go!!
229. up one pound. What the heckis going on with me. who knows. I just have to actually work at it!!

A new 4th thread? Cool. I'll put up my new tracker after MD, but I already know my 4th goal weight. 199 by the 4th of July! My new job is more of a desk job and my last job was very active, so I'm going to have to work even harder at home to make it happen.

been 10 days since my last post down 2 more pounds... It was comin off slow then just started melting off. Some would think Im crazy for saying this but Im starting to get a little worried that its still comin off this fast. Dont want to end up looking emaciated.

It works that way for me too. Sometimes I can go two weeks and only lose half a pound and then bam, I lose 5 pounds over a couple of days. And then there are some weeks where I lose two pounds one week and two the next. They say it's safe to lose 1-3 pounds a week.

Okay, a goal for July 4th? All right, I can do that. I'd sure as heck like to be 275 by then...so 275 it is. :)

Well I thought I had a bad week, my tom is do any day now so i did not want to weigh in but I did and I am down another pound. I have 4 more pounds to go. HOwever, I would love to lose more before then. I want to look great for the 4th weekend. \
I finally after 4 years on not finding a bathing suit found 2 at target one 2 piece(but you can not see my fat belly) and a one piece. I am so happy but have a ton more to lose but very happy with myself so far at to what I have already lost. Now if I can start excersing again I would be happy, but still not allow, this is my 3 week since the car accident and not getting back to normal yet. But hay losing a pound by just trying to eat good. I will say to myself. Way to go AZUL (beth) great job. |

WTG Lady Jackyl for the 2 lbs! Thats great!! Come on Rosario, we will do this!! We will take that lb and melt off 2 in its place and so on! My weekend was great! Went to the movies to see Da Vinci code and had popcorn again!!! and some candy! I gotta quit going to the movies if I keep eating like a pig lol. Then after that, went to Applebees and didnt get something off the WW menu! My sister took my kids to the movies also, so my mom and I could go and do whatever we want. I dont normally get breaks away from the kiddos, so I took total advantage of it lol. I did weigh in today and I lost 1 lb! Dont know how that happened, but ill take it! lol Hope everyone has a great day! |
I'm with Rosario, I wouldn't have the guts to try any on either. I found one at American Eagle last summer which I'll dig outta my closet for braver days! heh.
I am still holding steady over here, no gain, but no losses either. I am actually pretty happy with this because with my 2 little vacations I've been eating SO SO bad. My family left yesterday, and because of the long weekend I get an extra day off this week, so I'm going full force ahead starting NOW! :) -Aimee |

Sounds like everyone is doing well! Still no loss for me, but that's totally my fault. I've been eating ok for the most part, but not exercising as much. I can still make my goal for July 4 if I start working a little harder. Azul--congrats on finding 2 bathing suits you like! Gotta love Target!

I just want to chim in and say, I just love this site. I get some more encourgement from everyone. I don't think I would be able to do this without you guys, well to tell you the truth I have never stuck with any diet, life change this long.
Lovemygordie, hey at least you did not gain anything. I do lose more when I execrise, I can't wait to go back to it. You will get to your goal. Target rocks!!!! Soytipcal- That is great, you rock. Swimgirl-It is so hard to stick to your normal eating habits when other people are around. I never noticed how much more I eat or eat out when my family is around. But, I did notice this weekend. Now you can get back to your normal schedule. purplecrush-I love the movie butter popcorn too. What makes it even harder is my husband eats it everytime we go so it is not just like walking past the candy area. The smell oh it is so good. Thank god we do not go to the movies that much. With DH buying the popcorn and soda to wash it down makes going to the movie to expensive for us. Have you tried getting to the movie right as it starts so you have to rush to get to the movie so you do not miss anything and rush right past the snack bar. Rosario-I have the hardest time finding anything that I like. Bathing Suits the most. Okay I know to much info on this but- I have a very small chest so it is hard finding a suit that does not squash what i have on my chest flat. Then my fat belly sticks out further than my chest. I am telling you I can not wait until my goal weight I want boobs. Oh yea the best part. I had a 25.00 gift card which helped me buy the two suits. YIPPY!!!! Love target..... |
Randee-Movie popcorn is one of my biggest weaknesse. I could eat a whole large bag by myself. Yea, not the healthiest but it sure is good. I went to see Da Vinci Code too!! I just ahd a small bag,though, and I shared it with the bf. How did you like the movie?? It was good but I should of never taken my bf to see it. He hasn't shut up about it and now he's onto conspiracy theories. LOL

Rosario - you can do it too! It seems I finally found something that worked for me... the right amount of calories, exercise, etc. I try and keep it the same everyday! haha I have been making bad choices these days too, mostly just at dinner. I do good all day and then dinner I blow it. I have had FRENCH FRIES 3 days in a row!!! And it's not like they even taste that great but I eat them anyway! I have to stop, I refuse to eat any today :)

Rosario- I really liked the movie! I thought it was very interesting and made me think. Im sure others wont like it, but I liked it enough that Im going to buy it when it comes out. What did you think of it? I LOVE movie popcorn, and to make it worse, the place I was at had FREE refills on pop AND popcorn, but I didnt get seconds lol

Hey Gals! Today was a bit of a bust... I didn't have time to eat breakfast before work so I ended up with a BLT Bagel from McD's and a small iced tea. I had a pretty good lunch, and will make myself a good dinner. I think this is an improvement over what I did this weekend, heh. Scary.
Courtnie - congrats on the 3.8 pounds!!! Wow. Thats impressive. keep it up :) Azul - I was SO looking forward to a long walk today after work, and it's POURING rain with thunder and lightening. I know I'll get back to "normal", I'm easing back into it.. but I sure wish I had more energy for exercise! Rosario - definitely full force ahead!! If I can do, you can TOTALLY do it too! So my brother gave me a dieting book, Shangri-la diet, I've just started reading it today... not sure how I feel about it. But he asked me to try it out and I guess I might. I'll let you ladies know how it goes, I'll likely start it on the weekend. I'm totally not excited about it, seems hokey-pokey. Anyways! I sorta have a july 4 goal. My birthday is on July 15th (argh! i'll be 39) and I'd like to be at 175 by then. it would put me back into a comfy size 14. I'm really shooting for that. that's about 7 weeks away, and i figure i can come pretty close.
as for bathing suits...lol. last time i lost this weight, about 5 years ago, i bought one that i have always wanted. its HOT pink! i mean, bright Barbie HOT pink.... :) its a two piece tankini. i tried it on a few months ago and got ill. NO WAY!!! it looked...scary. that's all I can say. but its in the closet, just waiting for me. as a side note, while out on my in laws boat that last summer i was "skinny", a friend took a photo of me while I was laying sunning for a tan (and what a tan I had that year!). I was so proud of how I looked in that thing, that i took the negative and had it blown up into poster size for my hubby for his birthday that year. Now, i look at it and want to cry! but not to worry!!! I'm on my way back there. |

Courtnie - I haven't even gotten through half of the book. So far it's talking about flavourless calories in the form of oil and sugar water, saying those things lower your set point, your set point being the weight you maintain easily. Soon apparently it'll talk about low glycemic foods. I am almost at the chapter about how to do the diet itself.
So today... not so good. I ate some leftover pasta for breakfast, had a small cin bun with NO icing and coffee for a snack. For lunch I had a salad and a smoothie (no sugar added, low fat!), and dinner? Half a hot dog and some fries. So bad! It could have been worse though. My lunchs have been so good, I gotta work on breakfast and dinner.. lol.. K, tomorrow will be better because I am DETERMINED to get below 230!! Thats just 3 pounds.. I can SO do it! aimee-that is so doable. your eating could of been way worse yesterday. like mine (2 slices of pizza, I don't know how many mini powdered donuts..and that was only dinner...but at least I ate a good breakfast and lunch!!) I want to be 5 pounds less in 9 days (hopefully more, who knows??) but just keep yur chin up and focus!!!
Today is going sooo good...so far. I worked out this morning (woohoo!!) And since I've done it I don't want to throw it away. So I'm going to try no bad food today. Well, just one slice of pizza for lunch..but only one because that's all we had at home. I'm supposed to go to a graduation get together later but I'm going to try a new trick and see how it helps. Rosario - I've got one meal to be pretty good, so now I've gotta do two, I am thinking baby steps might help me. I just realized it's been almost 5 weeks since I've been eating whatever I want, thats a hard habit to break! Especially since I still lost weight during that time, that is until the exercise stopped! You are definitely on a roll this morning, exercise and a healthy breakfast are a GREAT start :) Is the grad thing a dinner? If not you could eat before you go, also my new "trick" to eating out is to ONLY look at the salad menu, so far so good.. How about since we have almost the same mini time line, we keep on eachother? I wonder if the threat of reporting a bad meal might keep that bad food away. Lemme know what you think!
Well I just woke up, but since I'm home this morning I have time to prepare a healthy breakfast and a good dinner for while at work. So I bought these new jeans on the weekend, they are super cute on, make my butt look good and a plus size 16, BUT! I didn't look at the label, they have polyester in them, and wow, that stuff when combined with Cotton does NOT stretch! When I was trying on pants I discovered that I'm almost into a NORMAL size 15/16! I totally can't wait to not have to shop in the plus sizes anymore.. Well, I am off to make breakfast.. -Aimee |
aimee-i am so with you on the meals. that way if i do indulge in a very bad meal, i will not only be letting myself down, but you as well. that should be really helpful. so far I've had 2 good meals. Portion control is all I care about. And i'm doing great so far!!
I plan on wearing my retainer every day from now on. It's such a pain to keep taking it out to eat. that way I won't be tempted to stick things in my mouth. I'm going to try it out tonite at the little get together (assuming that I do go). Hopefully it's as easy as it sounds! |
well....today the scales said 164.8!!!! i am so happy. I have been stuck at 166 because i have not been excersizing and eating as good as i should. hopefully i am getting back on track and will make my goal...or at least get pretty close to it. :)

Hey i chose 4th july as my goal also cause it's the date i go to my dad's house in spain. Also, it's my birthday on 12th july and i'm having a pool party so i'll have to look O.K in a bikini!!!

Rosario - how'd you do yesterday? I was impressed with how well I did, I had a good breakfast, for a snack I got a slice of lemon loaf, dinner was a salad and strawberries and for a snack when we came home I had 2 chicken strips. My end result was 1553 calories and 30% fat, I was a little surprised, I expected it to be worse for some reason. heh. Leah - a pool party sounds like fun! I'm sure you can hit your goal! -Aimee |
aimee-yesterday was pretty good. i just have to work on my snacks. today is another story. so far really bad. I didn't realize how much calories were in a jr. bcon cheeseburger, fries, and a frostee. oops. Major mistake doing that. I hope i last through dinner without doing to bad...i'm scared though cause it's only 1 o'clock. you look like you're doing really good, so keep it up!

Rosario - at least it was your lunch that was bad!! You have to be good at dinner, k? Had a HUGE salad before you eat anything else! Or even an apple, which apparently helps fill up your tummy. You can totally do this, one meal is NOTHING, just be good for the rest of the day! How was your breakfast today?

Yesterday was just crazy, I had this bad headache and barely ate anything all day long. However I did manage to go for a walk before it got TOO bad. When I got on the scale this morning I was showing a loss of 3 pounds!! I drank water, tea and juice all day.. I'm kinda stunned. We'll see if I hold on to that until Thursday/Fri my actual weigh in day.

Hey all! Sorry ive been MIA for a while. Its been hectic here. Ive been so busy with field trips and everything. I cant wait till school gets out..16 days and counting....
As for my eating..Ive been doing ok. I havent really been eating a whole lot. Yesterday I cleaned my whole entire room and took out like 10 bags of things I didnt need!! Im so proud of myself. My room needed it. I have too much stuff in such a small space. It looks awesome now. I got rid of my BIG computer desk and got a small one that im on now and it looks great! Its such a big difference!!! Congrats to all that are losing! Keep up the great work~!!! |

So tomorrow is my 5k! We'll likely walk most of it, both the bf and I have been feeling a little under the weather. But it'll be good to get out. Although it looks like it's going to rain, good thing I have a rain jacket! How's everyone doing?? -Aimee |
No loss this week, if anything I have at least 1 pound gain. I have no one to blame but myself. I do good for the most part, I get up every morning and do my exercise and eat good almost all day until dinner and that is when I blow it. I know it is partly because I have family around and we are going out for dinner or cooking big dinners but it is my fault because I am not saying NO to all the things I was before. I am still proud of myself because rather then eating a whole bag of chips I just have a couple handfuls, but still I have to stop this. Yesterday for lunch I had Ice Cream okay thats fine but then I had a milkshake last night. This is starting to get stupid and I am mad at myself and yesterday I was like "okay this is going to be a good day, I can do it.." till I ate that cookie! GAAAH! Anyway I have to be honest with myself, or I will keep doing it.
Luckly my family leaves this wednesday and then I can be as good as gold again. I am going to do my very best this week but don't except a loss this coming week either. BUT I AM GOING TO TRY! I can do this, I want to se 170 again sooo bad :( |
Courtnie - I think you should keep aiming for 170.. if anything its going to make you work harder than aiming for 180 will.. You have 8 weeks until your birthday, which is only an average of 3 pounds per week. You may have to work your tushie off to get to that... and may I suggest cutting back on those bad carbs at lunch and dinner, and let your breakfast be your big carb meal. By bad carbs I just mean breads and pasta.. and of course, stay away from high sodium foods! It'll take a lot of commitment, but when you reach 170 it'll be SO worth it :) Oh - and I probably repeated myself a little from the other thread..
So the 5k today was easy,we just walked it, so not really a huge deal. I'm hoping to run a full 5k this summer.. maybe in the end of July I'll aim for that. I even had TOM today, I was cramping pretty badly.. still am.. ick. So definitely worst case senario for the walk. I hate being a girl sometimes! -Aimee |
Aimee - congrats on the 5k! I am going to do my best, for the most part I am staying away from those 'bad carbs' sometimes it is hard, but I am working on it! It's the ice cream, chips, and cookies I have to stay away from. I was doing sooo good :(

Hey everyone. I hope your weekend went well. As most of you know I am visiting a friend that I haven't seen since 40 pounds ago. We had some ups and downs this weekend, mostly downs. :( But he said that my loss was really noticeable. He only eats once a day so I've been eating one really fatting meal with him, and then a small one by myself, and lots of walking: shopping and Sea World. He hated Sea World. My 1st time, but his attitude just ruined it. 1st we had to park in the dirt and he got mad because "I'm off roading in my G-damned Mercedes!" Then there was a lot of waiting in line (busy weekend) and he felt like he was being "herded like sheep." Then there were no real sit-down restaurants (I had to bug him to eat that one time eventhough we were walking all day), and he worried that if he ate the food his body might not be able to keep it down, and the chicken was dry, and he missed a real knife and fork. And he basically thought it was boring and only good if you had a kid "because you want THEM to have a good time" I felt like saying, well sorry that I’m 25 and not 5, but I am suppose to be your best friend and you think that maybe you'd want me to have a good time. Sorry for unloading, but I had to get it out. Oh well, 10 pounds to go for my 4th goal.

Courtnie - You can do it.. I know you can! I am doing alright today, eating lots of small snacks (which seems to help with TOM pain), and I am thinking about going for a run with the bf.. exercise is pretty important to my weight loss.. I really need to be consistant with it. I keep wondering to myself why it's so quiet.. but I *just*remembered its a long weekend in the USA! Silly me.. -Aimee |

Ok, so yesterday and today I pigged out to compensate for the bad weekend and now have to get back on track. I'm going to start by exercising tonight.

Wooo Hooo! I got on the scale after a weekend where I ate out, and I actually lost enough to go a pound beyond my goal! Yay! :)
