I don't miss the snug feeling in an airplane seat!
I don't miss the blood sugar swings and the tiredness that went with them.
I don't miss feeling fat - even though I have some more weight to lose, I feel so much better about myself.

Amen!

Wildlifebio---i'm with you on the airplane seat thing. The last flight I took (in mid-Feb, just before I started my new lifestyle), the armrests were digging into my hips. I was mortified, and I swore to myself that I would do something about it. The next time I fly will be in about a month. Hopefully I've improved some! :) :crossed:

I dont miss the size 22 and 18 jeans I just gave to my cousin. I cant ware them anymore they where to big....

hey aero - I am sure you will notice a difference! That is probably the funniest indicator I have of my weight loss. Every time I fly I get excited because I keep getting more and more comfortable (now only if my legs would shrink - I am 6 ft tall so there isn't much you can do about that)

I don't miss having to get a table instead of a booth at restaurants. I don't miss being afraid the safety bar wouldn't fasten at Six Flags. I don't miss having to wear Jeans all summer because I didn't want anyone to see my fat legs. I don't miss feeling like people would stare at me when I went back for seconds or thirds at a buffet. One time my husband was Life-flighted by helicopter to a trauma center about 100 miles from my home and I wasn't allowed on the flight because I weighed over 200 lbs. which would put the flight in danger. That was really a wake-up call for me. I don't miss aching every morning in my back and joints from just sleeping. I don't miss fast-food and find that my home-made food is better tasting and healthier for me. I don't miss not being able to ride on motorcycle with my husband because I figured everyone was staring at my fatness. I don't miss being bigger than everyone in my family and being reminded of this at every family get-together. I sure don't miss the looks my mother-in-law would give me every time she saw me.

Lets see......

I don't miss McDs double cheeseburgers

I don't miss only having two outfits that fit me out of a closet full of clothes

I don't miss avoiding mirrors

I don't miss not being able to chase my kids while they giggle uncontrolably

I don't miss cringing away from my husband

I don't miss that nauseous feeling I had EVERY morning from the crap I ate before bed.
I don't miss feeling helpless and feeling as if I'll never be able to lose weight. (It's only been just under a month and 12lbs are already gone!)
I don't miss not having any energy for work.

I'm just starting on this journey...but...I don't miss sodas. I stopped drinking it 4 years ago...and I haven't looked back.

That's about it for now. lol

Great thread. Very inspiring.

To be honest, there isn't really anything I miss before my diet. Since I am really doing portion controls. Although it was hard at first, my stomach adjusted to the smaller meals. Yesterday I gave into temptation and went a all you can eat buffet, but I ate only about half of what I used to.

I don't miss bread, I don't miss bread, I don't miss bread.....maybe if I keep saying it, I won't miss bread.
