Default My New Motivation

I have been reading Self for about two months now, and I think it's a great magazine with realistic tips about weight loss and exercise (it's my mother's, ) I will try the Reach Your Goal program next month (I think it starts Feb 20) and the tip a day thing (they give you a tip a day for a month). I am doing that next month too, but Feb has 28 days, so yeah.

But what really thrilled me is that they featured three of my role models on the very same page with motivational words! Their words have really motivated me! The three women are Evangeline Lilly, Reese Witherspoon, and Tyra Banks.

Evangeline Lilly (26) plays Kate on Lost, one of the BEST shows on television. She is lean and mean without starving herself! The girl climbs trees and does her own stunts, and she's still beautiful! Her words: "Everyone wants to see if you've put on weight or dropped weight. To be under that microscope is miserable. Since I've started on Lost, I've asked myself, out loud, 'At the end of your life, are you going to care about who you are or how you look?' I know that who I am is always going to be more important."

Reese Witherspoon (29), besides being a fabulous actress and a great singer in Walk The Line, is a very compassionate person and also beautiful without being stick-thin! Her words: "My body will never be what it was before I had [kids]. Who cares? I...[gave] birth to two beautiful children."

Tyra Banks (32) is the host of my other favorite show, America's Next Top Model, and she doesn't only choose just one type of girl for the show! She chooses plus-size girls, girls with different looks, etc. And she admits her faults readily on television and is so easy to relate to! Her words: "I'm very human when it comes to insecurities. Even though I still compare myself to other women and wish my body were different, I also try to glance at myself in the mirror and say, 'Look at you with those cute little dimples in your booty. You look cute!'"

This is all part of a special section in this month's magazine to love your body, and it has motivated me. I recommend you get the magazine or at least look for quotes from your favorite actors/actresses to motivate you!
