Unhappy Didn't meet my weekly goal

I'm disappointed that I didn't lose my 2lbs this week. Of course I can only blame myself I know where I messed up. I weigh in every Monday. Last Monday I did good I lost my 2 lbs, I was off work and decided to take a day off from the workout regimen and treat myself to Burger King (whopper jr, med. onion ring and med. dr. pepper). That day I only expended a total of 75 calories; where as a typical day I usually expend 800-1000 calories depending on the type of workout I have. I know that not meeting my mini-goal of 2 lbs should be a kick in the butt for me to get moving today, but now I'm depressed I and I really don't feel like working out. I guess I just needed to vent and get a bit of motivation from someone else. HELP, I know I still have time to recoup and lose 2lbs for the next 3 weeks to attain my Valentine's day goal of 188.

In my experience, I got hung up and frustrated when I made my weekly goals revolve around the scale. There are way too many factors and variables! A glass of water is heavy, eating too much sodium the day before can matter, time of the month, etc etc. Watching the scale was an emotional roller coaster, I was miserable if it didn't tell me what I wanted to see!

I made my weekly goals around things *I* could control - exercising a certain number of times a week, drinking water every day, eating a certain number of veggies every day, trying a new, healthy recipe once a week, avoiding junk, eating whole grains instead of white flour products, going to bed on time, making healthy choices at restaurants when I go out with friends.

There were many weeks when the scale didn't move, sometimes I got discouraged, but I was always proud of the positive things I did accomplish. I never gave up!!

I agree with Glory. It's too easy to be SO on plan, and still not lose any weight (or even to just be up on your weigh day). I just make an effort to have more good days than bad, and get better and better and have fewer bad days. I track all my calories on Fitday, so I don't ever have an "off" day, even bad days are tracked painfully and factored into my averages. Don't sweat not losing though, in that case where I know I've had a bad day I'm just usually glad I didn't gain Maintaining, or losing really really slow, can be a win sometimes! Good luck and stick with it coco_channell!

you'll get back on track sweetie! AND, there is NOTHING wrong with treating yourself.. I have learned that if I REALLY want something, like mexican food for example, then I can have it, but I CAN'T have soda and I CAN'T have the chips and salsa... I can have mexican food and water, and NOT feel guilty! So, a whopper every now and then is no biggie, just try to substitute the Dr. Pepper with a diet soda or water. I totally understand though.. I had McD's Sunday night... I had a whole meal planned but with a 15 mth old and a day full of errands, it was either something quick or dinner at 10pm, and I was hungry!

Thank you all SO much for the support. I did end up working out last night and this morning before work. Those were great tips and I will work to incorporate some of them into my lifestyle.
