I can't even
imagine being willing to make separate meals. As others have said, cook dinner, and don't apologize for it. If he's old enough to get married, he's certainly old enough to turn on the stove and fix his own food if he doesn't like what you've made. And if you do get left with two servings of food, just stick the other in the fridge for the next day's lunch. That's one less meal for you to make.
