I lost mine slowly. It's easier to adjust to new eating habits over time. Going too fast doesn't give you time to adjust. It's what often causes the yo yo. The moment you are finished losing the weight, you start to feel you no longer have to watch what you eat and go back to the old ways, and therefore often gain it right back. By going slow, you get used to eating/exercising the new way and stop thinking of it as a diet but as your normal daily healthy living. So you don't stop living that way once you've lost the weight.
