I'm a college student, and the all-you-can-eat meal plan -- combined with junkie, processed, fried food -- really did me in.
But they also put out salad, so I'm eating 10-12 cups of mescalin salad mix a day, tons of egg substitute (0 fat, 30 calories per .25 cup, etc), etc...this would normally cost me 10 dollars a day, easy.
I also buy skinless, boneless chicken on my own, and drink whey protein and take supplements. For a po' college student, I'm really spending money...But I feel SO MUCH BETTER.
I just tell myself that
this is the best investment I could ever make. It always makes me feel better about dropping 20-30 dollars/week on food
