Some way I got the days mixed and amm kept counting a day less then waht I am on. Yesterday was rd2d9 and today is day 10. Weigh myself on day 1 of next challenge and have that clearly marked off as the 30th weigh in day. Sorry for the confussion.
Anyway, walked 2 miles today. That is all. Am still within mylimits of the challenge so that is good but am disappointed in myself about not doing my regular video. anyway Synn- for mini goals (like when I hit 145), the reward will be a new exercise video or new piece of equipment. I get bored after about 2-3 months so hope to hit that within the next 2 so that I can get something new... as far as long term goal of hitting around 125... that will make me get new clothes. I will love taht. and also will get some new toys for my daughter since she "allows" me to exercise so she earned it too. Hevron-No, not a machine. But am very determined to get to where I want to be and that is why I do so much but feel as if I am gaining muscle as losing fat (muscle weighs more) so don't feel like I am getting far. I do measure myself though since I know where I want to be as far as size and if I hit one and not the other then that is fine although I will still work at it. |
1st- thanks hevron, for the positive input. I'm having a much better day today. I'm sure I can think of something, especially as I get closer to goal.
I only weighed myself once today. Since I haven't been doing much to lose weight lately, I've been staying off andI'm trying to keep the habit down to once a day too. It's hard!! I took a walk today, first time for almost a week. It felt nice. 2 days, 2 faces! :D :spin: |
Hello everyone just found a bit of time on my hands to say hello. I still have been walking the stairs at work and not taking the elevator. Now its just old habit I don't even go left toward the elevator. Weird how if we really do something for 10 days or so it really does become part of our life stlye. It wasn't a huge change for me but does put a little extra in for calorie and fat burning. I finally got my foot back to normal so I can use my sneakers. Now I have that cold thing that was going around. Last to catch it at home. Oh I just prayed it missed me but then I felt tired and throat started in. No time to take a day off I have to go to a meeting this afternoon. But on friday if I don't feel better I am off!

Round two, Day SIX.... I'm getting there!
Only weighed myself once yesterday, by the way! Maybe it just takes determination, just like anything else in our lives? I made a great meal last night, the rest of my family didn't think of it as a "low fat" type of thing. I did have to count 3 flexpoints to make it, but it was worth it! Trying to use my imagination with meal planning, so I don't get bored! You guys are doing great! Keep up the good work! Linda |
Well I actually got up early today to work out! I know it was the challenge that made it possible so Round 1, Day 3 down.
SYNN-I definately use mini goals to help keep me going. I have a closet full of clothes that will be practically new when I fit into them again. Of course, I can't wait to buy myself a great pair of jeans when I'm all done though. Skyfirefly-Glad to hear the foot is doing better. Don't push back to soon and get injured or sick again...that just takes longer. Getting rested has just as much to do with staying healthy as exercise does. Take care. SJ |
Inspired!
R1,D8: You all inspire me so much!! I should've read these posts before getting something from the cafeteria for breakfast today; sorry to say I probably had some stuff I shouldn't have. But I'm still doing good on the water! Just gotta watch all that tempting food...
Skinny - I can SO relate to the clothes in the closet. I have this red dress suit (among other things) I could wear about 5-6 years ago when I lost 40 lbs. Haven't been able to wear it since. It is my goal to be able to fit that thing by Christmas!! Maybe it will even be too big... Sounds like everyone's doing really good on exercise. I haven't gotten myself to daily exercise just yet, but I think that might be the challenge for R2. At least using stairs instead of elevators, etc. I am still doing Curves 4x/week, though. I love that place! Well, here's hoping all of you have another successful day today! And for anyone new here, we'd love to hear from you! We're just a great group of people supporting each other in 10-day challenges - one thing at a time, you know! Until next time... :tread: |
H-e-l-p!
I've fallen off the food wagon and I can't get up! Today started out with a breakfast guilty pleasure (sausage/cheese/ham "hash"). Just as I was trying to get back on track, here come donut holes at my 10am meeting! ARRRGGGGG!
So naturally, they have my favorite kind - the chocolate cake ones w/clear icing...mmm. Anyway, do you think I could pass that up? NOOOO. So I'm having a not-so-good food day. Good thing my current challenge is drinking water! Well, just finished my Lean Cuisine lunch, so hopefully I'm back on the right road now. Guess we all slip-up every now and then... :nono: |
Okay - I managed to get a regular shoe on today, so I am going to try starting up my normal exercise routine tommorow. My goal is to exercise every day and stick to my diet (1300 cal or less a day). I will post tommorow and update you on whether I was able to really "exercise" or whether I reverted back to the crunches/etc. out of foot pain =)!

10 day challenge
Well I am on day 2 of the 10 day challenge, yesterday I did ok, I managed to drink 48 oz and just barely stuck to my diet plan. Today I am doing much better on the eating part but I need to make sure I drink the H2O!
I gotta say that sugar free jello is my life saver when I need something sweet. Becky |
day 1 rd 3
well I measured today (end of the last 10 day challenge) and I lost 3 lbs and 1.5 inches-1 off of my waist!!! I am so excited. My next 10 day challenge is to get atleast 3 miles in (whether it be walking or running... 3 miles a day. Got one so far today. Well atleast it is what I will call a mile since we went walking in town today and it took about 1.5 hours of a walk at a slow pace... of course we stopped at some of the shops so I will only count it as a mile and am about to go do the other two when hubby gets home from work so that he can watch Jasmine and I don't have to restrict her to the play pen again. |
Gabrielle -
I am so proud of you! It sounds like you are doing great! An inch off your waist is wonderful! Keep up the good work! -Lauren |
Hey Ladies, the gym was a blast....hard work, but I did about 40 mins of exercise, and I am still going for a walk in a bit, so that completes R3D8!!!!
WooHoo! Gotta step up the next challenge as its time to kick into high gear (fat burn mode)!!!! I got in a free workout at the gym tonight and I will be going again tomorrow....I am so going to become a gym bunny!!!! But I love it during the time I am there because it is the quietest 2 hours of the day. And I don't feel like a giant heiford next to all the already fit and firm people! So anyway....this was just a quick update to let you all know I am still kicking it! |
People, so sorry I've been gone. My computer is dead and I have no Net connection. I'm afraid I won't be able to write much even now as I'm work and can't. In any case, I hope everything is going smoothly with you all.
I have stayed on my challenge. Today is Day 7. If I keep at it (and things are horrible right now!) then it'll be a full week down. Wish me luck and good luck to you all!! |
Hi ladies--
Today is day 3...only got in a little over 40 oz. Which is better than what I was doing a week ago which is nothing! How does a person survive w/out drinking any water??? I can tell a difference already with the puffiness in my face....so once I up the amount...things ought to look even better! You are all doing so well! Very proud of everyone of you! Even for the ones who may have slipped and needed to start over, thats the only way we can see and realize how much we need to tend to our bodies that are saying "Take care of me" (mine is constantly saying that!) Just wanted to report my progress so far! Keep up the great work everyone! |
I wish I could join a gym... too much $. Someone I know told me she pays $100 A YEAR at a place in town, but Ichecked their web-site and it's more like $50 a month. She must of found some super coupon somewhere. Another friend wasn't too impressed with the place. I guess if I'm serious I'll shop around. The gym must have child care too, and I'm not ready for that, baby is only 4 mos! Meanwhile I have my trusty dumb-bells. My oldest son thinks it's funny to jiggle the flabby stuff that used to be a tricep. I'll show him!!!!
Today went well, but I could have done with out TWO lattes. I usually don't have any. Not a habit. And my daughter ate half my lunch. 3 days, 3 faces!! :D :spin:  Hang in there hevron!!! |
