Default Hello!!

Hi there! I'm Bridget and I'm new here. Well new again. I had been on here 20 years ago and found great community. Hoping to find again! I'm using an exchange/dietician program to help build a healthy relationship with food. No medication.

Starting a new meal plan today. Stayed up late planning meals for an entire week, and making my grocery list to shop later this morning. Here's the plan for day one...I'll let you all know how it goes! I'm not sure of my starting weight yet but I think it's around 213 pounds.

Breakfast (7AM):
3 cups of Coffee with half and half (~300 calories)
2 hard boiled Jumbo eggs with salt and pepper (180 calories)
1 banana (105 calories)

Lunch (12PM):
4 oz of baked chicken breast with seasoning (187 calories)
4 oz of baked sweet potatoes (97 calories)

Dinner (4PM):
4 oz of baked salmon (175 calories)
15 spears baked asparagus (60 calories)

Exercise:
30 reps at 5 pound arm workout, 20 minutes on treadmill at 2.1mph.

Good morning, I ended the day yesterday super tired and sored. I woke up early this morning I'm still sored but that is normal with my PsA and fibro, I should feel better as the day goes by. Today is DH b-day and he requested his favorite meal, baked Ziti and carrot cake. We normally go out to eat for b-days but DH travels M-F so he prefer home cooked meals.

Xerai- how are you feeling?
Bridget- Welcome back!
LadyBinger- that sounds like a good plan. I also need to be more organized and start planning my meals again

Good Morning, Everyone!

Welcome back everyone!

My update from May. I joined OA on April 1. I have been abstinent for 2 months as of today. The month of May I lost 5.2 pounds. My total loss since joining OA is 15.4 pounds. I am totally amazed. Praise the Lord!

Steps from yesterday: 6,308

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

June 1

1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

One thing would really make dieting easier: Knowing what the results are actually going to look like. When we diet, we have to hold onto some image we have created in our own minds. Perhaps it is an image crafted from an old picture, or a memory of what we looked like so many years ago. Still, there is no tangible goal we can point to and say, 'That is what I will look like when I lose weight.' We have to live in hope of something we want, and hope can be scary. Ask God to help you. He will enable us to believe in what we imagine, even when we can't always see it in reality.

Today's thought: I'll know better why I'm dieting after I'm done!

Congrats Diana that is spectacular progress. I'm about to have my on plan dinner, I've adhered to the program so far but my worst cravings come at night so I hope I can stay strong.

Hello June. I’m back

I’ve been exercising almost everyday, but my eating has been on and off track, especially the late night binges.

CeiCie..happy walking. Good job being so consistent.

Dianna..15.4 pounds, that’s so impressive! What do you think makes the difference since you joined the OA?

Muffin.. Hope your soreness goes away soon. Happy birthday to you DH. baked Ziti and carrot cake sounds delicious. You must be a good cook.

Bridget..Welcome back! What is an exchange/dietician program about?

LadyBinger..Did you enjoy your on plan dinner? What’s the name of the program?

I can't really explain it. It comes from working the program. My eating was getting worse with each month. It's really amazing.
