In the end, I was way over on calories yesterday. I am doing my best to chip away at my calorie debit a little bit each day this week. So far, the transgression has not shown up on the scale.

Doing okay and no bump up on the scale which is great. Not on track well enough tonight to eat my planned lunch tomorrow and stay on track. I'm faced with changing my lunch which could trigger overeating or to take the lump and eat my planned lunch. Even if I eat my planned lunch, I will be slightly under my calorie limit.

I am struggling at work. I am a bunny in a viper pit. I just don't understand how people can justify being so underhanded.

Today was a new low weight for me, -31 lbs. I was very confused as I stood on my scale as I clutched my emotional support bottle of liquid soap early this morning. I understood that I was at new low weight but could figure out why my scale didn't play music. It is suppose to play music when I am at a new low weight. Then it dawned on me that I was holding the bottle of liquid soap to trick the scale. I tricked myself- hahaha! The scale didn't play music because I had already been there.

So a weird thing happened on Monday. I had a salad for lunch and felt full about just over half weigh through it. I had anxiety about being hungry later so I finished it off. Then later and for the rest of the evening even after dinner, I felt really, really hungry. I hope my massive but false appetite doesn't return. That would derail everything.

Holding steady at my new low weight. I completed a 19 hour fast today. My blood sugar was 94 before I broke my fast. This is really good because I am considered pre-diabetic (fasting blood sugar range is 100-125). I also tested my blood sugar one night before bed earlier this week and it was 79 which is fantastic!

So Friday is typically a lower weight day. Although I try to discourage myself, my hopes are (unrealistically) up for another new low weight.

I am staying steady at my newest low weight and did not see a newer one this morning. I really wish I would have. It would have been a huge psychological boost. These last few days have been very hard. Hard enough that I don't know how long I can keep it up. I was on track today though.

Held steady again this morning. I've eaten carby breadsticks for dinner last night and tonight. It will be interesting to see the affect on the scale tomorrow. Typically on Friday and Saturdays, 3 out of 4 meals are salads. Breakfast is usually really light and just a cup of dressed up coffee.

Still squeaking in 3 walks a day no matter how late. I did the first one today at 5:30 pm with my neighbor. I asked if she'd want to do the last one with me at 10:00 pm. She laughed and said no. She's an early riser 4 or 5:00 am as a result she is in bed asleep by 7 or 8:00 pm.

One of the times I did my walk late at 10:00 pm. I was scared for a moment because I saw this animal in the shadows coming straight towards me. I didn't know what it was but it was on an intercept course. LOL- it turned out to be the shadow of my head. So, I Held steady again this morning. Hi again! Just checking in again to say you've got this! I think it's great that you've gotten to a new low and if you look at it you can say a year has gone by and you are the same-slightly less than you were then. I know many times I have lost weight when I was younger. I'd lose it fast and then feel OK and stop focusing on it. A year later I was higher in weight than when I started losing. It's a never ending battle. We have to know our calorie range and stay within it. Hang in there!

Thank you for the encouragement! I know you and many others are rooting for me and it helps!

I feel like I am a broken record. Not much has changed today. My weight bounced up. It was up only a smidge so there is something in the bank to confirm next week. Hoping I can hold on to my loss until the month ends.

I was over on calories today but less than the amount last week. It seems to be a regular Sunday thing now. I'm trying to balance things and attempting (but failing) to plan accordingly. The other thing I have started doing is I reduce my calorie target to the amount it should be if I lost what I had planned.

I've realized what I want is all rainbows and unicorns. However, I have the yellow brick road. It's not a quick solution and the journey is fraught. There are scary things and things that look scary but turn out to be okay. I just need to keep following it.

It was tough but I am on track for today. I have been more tired lately. Is it all of the carbs? Or are all of the carbs because I was feeling tired? Weight crept up a bit today. I just need to hold it steady for another week.

And repeat. Today was tough but I made it through. Tomorrow will be a challenge because I had too many calories tonight and I shouldn't have my planned lunch. And repeat.

It has been very blustery here. With all of the leaves falling, it looks like nature's ticker tape parade. I am really tired and I hope I sleep well tonight. I did a 19 hour fast today.

Tried something new for dinner. It wasn't very good and I am making educated guesses on the calories. It doesn't help that I finished with pie. Boy! That part was good though. I'm in trouble calorie wise for tomorrow already. I am frantically doing calculations to see how I can pull out of this nosedive. Tomorrow may just have to be a break even day.

The bigger problem is I've worked so hard to get here but I don't feel like it is sustainable. I am hungry all the time and have been eating a lot more as soon as my calorie window opens. I feel like I am out of tricks to move through this. It doesn't help that I am sick of thinking about this and sick of having to adjust to keep on a good path.

It is looking like a one pound loss for the month if I can hang on to it for the next few days. Today was tough and I only made it through by guzzling diet soda. Then, I ate 710 calories in 17 minutes after my calorie window opened which is not a a good way of eat for the rest of my life. Although, I ended up with a total lower number of calories for the evening than lately so that is interesting. I am in pretty good shape for tomorrow.

Today I did a 19 hour fast. I was thinking I would get a really good response on the keto test strips. However, it barely turned color. I don't really know what happened. I have some theories. One, my body is getting efficient at using ketones so only few turned up. Two, my body is getting efficient in general and my metabolism slowed down so I only burned a little fat. I guess it is just two theories. I thought I had more- LOL.

And repeat. Ate so much this evening that tomorrow will be a challenge. The good news is I remained within my calorie window that closed at 5:00 pm today.

I read an article that said to lose 5-10% of you weight and then to wait 6 months before trying to lose more. Supposedly, this allows your set point time to adjust. Well, I've more or less have done that against my will. It was more than 10% and the wait has been longer than 6 months though.

It also said 70% of people who have lost 20 pounds were unable to keep it off for 2 years. Well, that makes a tick mark in my win column. I've have been able to keep 20 pounds off for 2 years. Woohoo! I'm a 30 percenter.

Gosh, this gets easier at some point doesn't it? I made it through the day on plan. It was hard and I did things that are not necessarily good choices to hang on. I dug out my tight belt and wore it for a while. I drank an excessive amount of diet soda. Lastly, I took a supplement that doesn't really agree with my stomach to beat back my appetite. This all seems a bit too extreme and I am trying to figure out how to make this more sustainable. The keto test strips are usually encouraging but lately they have been showing I am barely burning any fat. Tomorrow will be the real test. It is a double whammy of an official weigh-in day and the end of the month.

EDIT: I hope this doesn't post a bunch of times. It kept timing out when I was trying to post it.

Smile Ticker Changing Day!

Pleased to announce I am able to adjust my sidebar (a.k.a. to me as a ticker) to -29.5 lbs, from -28.5 lbs. This is a confirmed weight loss of one pound. I was looking at my "official", but not necessarily confirmed, Sunday weights. In the four weeks in October, based on Sunday weights I have lost 2.5 lbs which is perfect. The target for my plan is a loss of 0.5 lb a week. I do find it curious the monthly unofficial weights don't reflect this progress.

Unless I get a different result on the scale tomorrow morning, I am looking at a loss of 1.5 pounds for the month. This is fantastic! It is new weight loss after nearly a year of being stagnate and working off a six pound regain in there. I am hoping I can keep this up with the holidays approaching. Halloween has already invaded my house as we have bags of candy ready for the trick or treaters.

Today, as seems to be my Sunday tradition, I will be over on calories. This would be the case even without the Halloween candy.
