We put our tree on Sunday. It is a big one. This evening when I came home from my walk, it had fallen over. It likely had help from the pets. My daughter and I struggled quite a bit to get it upright again. Whew! Luckily it isn't decorated yet.

I was over calorie wise today but I think I can get back on track tomorrow.

So the tree was knocked over again. The cat teases the dogs and then hides behind the tree. The same thing happened last year except branches were lower so the dogs didn't follow her. This year the lowest branches are higher so the dogs can still see and chase after her even behind the tree. Then BOOM! It tips over. My daughter and I are much better at standing it up again though.

On track calorie wise and hoping to keep it up...

Today was not the day! This is what I say on days I get all of my walks done. Today is not the day I didn't do it.

The scale was kind today and I don't get it. I was a little over on calories today, mainly because I forgot to note something. I had a half a glass of milk last night to soothe an upset stomach.

I'm feeling a bit guilty. Packages have been rolling in all week because my husband has finished his Christmas shopping. Me? I haven't even started. I need to get going on it since Christmas is roaring right up.

The reading on the scale looked pretty good this morning and I was on-track calorie wise for the window that closed at 5 pm. Unfortunately, I ate too much this evening and only have 45 calories left until 5 pm tomorrow. I took my eye off the ball. I felt like I had more calories than I did.

I do have some wiggle room in there because I count the whole container of something when I open. For example, if I have a (small) bottle of juice I'll put the calories for the whole bottle into my tally. So if it has 250 calories, I add 250 calories to my tally even if I don't finish the bottle within the calorie window.

There are a couple of things that went into the tally in entirety but were not finished. I may take the time to back those out.

The scale is still looking okay but tomorrow is Doomsday official weigh-in day. We'll see what happens.

I barely got my walks in today and yesterday finishing after 11:00 pm on both days. I think it is fair to call that dedication.

Calorie wise today, I have broken even. In reality, it was a slim deficit. If you count the extra skating session today and the extra float built into my plan, it was a respectable deficit. I am quite proud of myself for breaking even as I really wanted to eat endlessly. I did finally stop feeling hungry for about an hour which was a relief. I had a healthy dinner. My belly is full but my brain is saying to eat- ugh!

All in all, I am in great shape calorie wise for tomorrow.

Pleased to announce a confirmed half pound loss. I will change my sidebar (ticker) weight to -30 lbs. Also excited to note, there is another pound loss waiting for confirmation. If I can get it confirmed by the end of the year, I will show a three pound loss for the year. Not an exciting amount, however, it is an achievement nonetheless. Honestly, a great achievement for me since there was a gain earlier in the year and it has been tough going since then. I have lost six pounds in the last seven months. The spring seems to be the time when I am most likely to gain weight.

On Friday, I bought a 20 pound bag of rice. I was really struck by how heavy it was and that I was carrying one and a half of that amount of weight on my body at one point. Even more struck by the fact that I have two more to lose.

On a side point about the rice, it was marked as $15.99 on the shelf but rang up as $18.32. The store honored the marked price. However, that's a large jump. Rapid inflation, all the more reason to learn to eat less.

Previous ticker weight: -29.5
New ticker weight: -30

Last summer, my computer started going on the fritz. We backed up some of the items before it stopped working completely. One of those items was my Christmas card address list. Sadly, I have lost the back up list. I am really disappointed and I only have a few address for cards. It has put a damper on the season.

Me and myself are really angry with I. I decided that we need a calorie limit in the evening so we (me, myself and I) can have more calories during the day. Right now we are eating a lot in the evening sometimes leaving very few calories for the next day. Me and myself were sure to eat past the calorie limit that I said we should have. Who I think they are anyway! Me and myself will eat whatever we want when we want it!

I will try again tomorrow. Such is my quest for a healthier life....

I had a GREAT skate today! My legs were nice and fresh because I didn't do any walking beforehand. Also, I was not in a fasted state. I did 21 laps in 16 minutes! Okay, it really took me 21 minutes but for 5 of those I was resting. So the time is correct; it wasn't continuous though.

Me and myself behaved today. I was on track calorie wise and successfully limited my eating in the evening. Tomorrow is looking really good.

Remember when I use to actually have a countdown (e.g. 644 days left). I gave it up when I realized the total number of days was higher than the same date last year. If I continue to lose 'new' weight (vs. regain weight), I may restart the countdown.

I am very happy due to being on-plan for three days!
Myself is very happy from eating tasty meals!
Me is very happy 'cause- candy and a snack cake!

We are very happy because the scale tied my lowest weight (unconfirmed) this morning, -32.5 lbs. Another exciting development is I felt a little better after exercise instead of feeling worse.

If I were doing a countdown, I would be at 525 days left (based on my lowest unconfirmed weight).

The scale was tied with my lowest weight again. I was on-track calorie wise today. I ate bit too much this evening. Tomorrow should be okay but I will have to stick to my plan.

Yesterday, we had high winds in my area. The gutters were full of small pine twigs and pine cones that had blown off of the trees. It look like Christmas had exploded.

Today, I felt good after ice skating. This also happened yesterday after exercising at the rec center. I am hopeful this marks a new era for my health.

Today is not quite turning out how I planned it. So far, I am over a little bit on calories. Overall, I still have a deficit but I will have to work hard to keep it that way.

It is a busy day. I worked really hard to make sure I still had time for skating but other people we late with their stuff. Now, I will not be able to go skating unless I go to a different rink. I've never been to the other rink. From what I understand, it is smaller and the ice is not in very good condition.

I unintentionally did a 19 hour fast today. Then I had to cram all of my exercise (rec center, walking and skating) into a five hour period. I am really tired. I was also very hungry when I was skating so I ended early.

Well, I finally got my Christmas photo cards ordered but I don't have many people to send them to. They will likely arrive late at this point too. I'll do better next year.

Whatever!

It was a near perfect week. I got all of my exercise in with the exception of my fourth skating session. However, the fourth skating session is not counted in my plan and is considered a bonus. In addition, I did an extra round of walking. Not doing my bonus skate shouldn't count against me but if it did, it was replaced with an alternative exercise.

Calorie wise, I was over for the week but only by 35 calories. This would be only 5 extra calories per day so ultimately it is statistically irrelevant. All week the ketone test strips are showing that I am successful in creating a calorie deficit.

The result- scale is the same and barely! To that I say - Whatever!

This boils down to my perennial problem. My metabolism slows faster than I can cut calories.

On track calorie and exercise wise today. For quite a while now, I have been focused solely on my calorie count and have been using that as a bench mark for being on track or not. There is a neglected part of my plan where I am suppose to be balancing carbs and protein. I haven't done that in a long time. I am out of balance because I eat too many carbs. I need to focus on continuing what I am doing. If I try to change right now, I will fail as I am barely able to do what I am doing. However at some point, I would like to add in creating this balance.

We had a great evening tonight. We put the ornaments on the tree. Yesterday, we put the lights and garland on. This is one of the prettiest trees we've ever had. The kitty loves it because it more or less gives her an ambush spot. Although this year, the dogs have been trundling after her behind the tree. We have secured the tree to the wall and a ceiling beam so it won't come crashing down again.
