Good news! I was able to confirm a 1 pound loss this morning. In addition, I have a half pound loss waiting for confirmation. Per my personal set of rules, I have an official weigh-in day, Sundays. I need to see the weight (or lower) two weigh-ins in a reasonable time frame for me to consider it a confirmed loss. Of course, I would always like to see the confirmation in the following week's weigh-in but that doesn't always happen. This confirmation took two weeks.. My hopes in doing it this way is to stop the worrying and fretting that comes with daily weight fluctuations. Unfortunately for me, I picked the day of the week my weight typically fluctuates up. I have a temporary fix to my laptop issue. I was able to plug in a regular keyboard until I can get my laptop keyboard fixed. Today was a tough one! My secret weapons were barely useful today. I am so glad I made it through. I would say I am proud I made it through. This journey keeps me humble and as such no pride for me. Tomorrow, I could be up by pounds. I wish my body understood it is better to release this weight and it is not healthy to hold on to it. I had very carefully scheduled and made complex plans with a friend later this summer. I thought it was all set but now an important direct conflict has popped up! ARGGHHH!!! The scale was very kind today. I just need it to hold for one more day. If it does, I will be on track for the month. I was distracted yesterday when I posted. I completely forgot to mention I fell down yesterday. It was nearly a face plant. I was walking one of my dogs and I tripped on an uneven sidewalk. I dropped the dog's leash and mostly caught myself with my hands. I have a little bit of road rash on my arm and a couple of deep bruises on my hip. So glad it wasn't worse. I've broken each wrist slipping on ice so I worry about doing that again. The dog, well, she just stopped and looked at me until I gathered myself. She is so calm- LOL. In my post from last year that I included in yesterday's post, I was talking about mosquito bites and how I swell up from them. Well, that is no longer the case. It is really interesting. I got a couple when we were camping and it was no big deal. It use to be they would swell up and last for at least 10 days. I'm not clear on what has changed. One thought is I have less overall inflammation now between the weight loss and supplements. I'm likely looking at a 2 pound loss for the month and I will take it! So much better than a gain. I've also hit 500 posts in this thread, the maximum allowed. There were points during it where I thought - oh I can get to my goal before I get to 500 posts. Simply put- I was wrong. I am still working at it. I have stopped the gaining and have started losing again. I am still at my personal weight loss barrier. I am going to take a few days off and then I will start another thread.
