I see we posted at the same time again Michele and now sunny-- forgot to tell you Wilma that my DD called last night to thank me for the recipe-- they are making them tonight. Gotta run!!!

Thank you SunnyD. I know we will have a fun time. I love craft shows. I graduated from University of Pennsylvania and The Academy of Fine Arts with a BFA . Never used my art background much after I got married. I do backdrops for VBS at church. I also love wood carving. Now that the kids are grown, it would be nice to get more into carving and painting. Would like to try Trompe L'oeil.

~Marilyn~ Welcome Thank you for sharing with us about your family. Homeschooling is very popular in my area. If I had started schooling my kids in elementary school I would have done it. I really get angrey when my kids are tought that evalution is fact. I fought the school board for years. I wanted creation tought along side of the evolution theory. Peter Jennings came to our town to cover the story. I'm in his book Searching for America. He made our town sound hokey, but thats ok. In this day and age any media coverage about God is a blessing. There are alot of scientist that believe in creation, but they would not get the funding if they spoke up.

got to get moving

Yes, Gary!

I sent ZOE a Personal Message last week and she responded. Told me she would come on by soon... I told her she was being asked about and missed.

New day

Isn't it nice that we can get up every morning and 'start over' without our Saviour holding anything from yesterday against us!!

I rejoined TOPS last night. They had asked me to come back -- it is a small group --- only about 6/7 attend each week -- but I mentioned to them that if I was to come back that I would like to see a difference in the meetings. Previously all they were doing was getting weighed, reading the 'minutes' from the previous week which tells how everyone has done weight wise -- other than that it just seemed to be a 'chitchat' of nothing in particular. I was a member years and years ago and it was run very differently -- they did have the minutes but they also had weekly programs -- something that would give motivation to the members to get the weight off. When I was a member years ago originally the group was really not getting anywhere but when they decided to have proper programs all of a sudden they had members start to lose weight to get it all off and keep it off. This group I have gone to now is just the same as it was 3 years ago -- they really aren't making any headway individually or as a group. They have asked if I would come along and help them get the programs up and running -- so I said ok.

Anyway I have decided to keep my weight chart starting from last nights weigh in. If you are interested in reading how this is going have a look at my journal -- am keeping a chart there as well I will be journaling my food -- hopefully starting that today.

Has anyone read the book '3D - Diet, Discipline & Discipleship by Carol Shhowalter. Very good book -- all Christian based. I am putting a lot of what she says into my personal plan, as well as ideas I read from the book 'Thin Within' and a 12 Step Christian Weight Loss Plan (has a workbook with this one)

If anyone is interested in joining me in this plan -- there are questions to help you 'step forward' in your walk with the Lord and to lose weight -- let me know and maybe we can start up another 'thread' to cover this.

Wildfires: Up here in Canada where I am (BC Canada) they have been terrible. We are very grateful that now after 4 months we have had rain. A lot of the firefighters have been sent home after being here for 4 months. And now they say there is some terrible virus in our city and they don't know where it has come from -- but a lot of the firefighters have been terribly sick. Praying that we aren't going to be affected -- what with dealing with my reoccuring cancer, cancer threat now in my hubby (Norm), 2 special needs children I am homeschooling, and the wildfires -- don't need to get sick on top of that.

Has been busy day today and I haven't even done my walk!! And boy can I feel that I didn't -- hopefully will be able to get it in -- but now am waiting for the repair man to come and look at the dishwasher.

Have a good day everyone

Marilyn/Sprouts Journal Link

http://www.3fatchicks.com/journals/m...ind.php?id=982

Here is the site for Sprout/Marilyn's journal...

Marilyn you just forgot the [url] code so it would link them to your journal, so I just thought I'd lend a helping hand while I had a moment in between things today. Hope you didn't mind ;)

sprout 09-11-2003 04:37 PM

Thanks SunnyD -- is the the (url) code that should go in your signature so that it will show up on all posts?

I have changed it to that so hope that is correct.

Marilyn/Sprout

SunnyD57 09-11-2003 04:57 PM

Sprout... it still isn't correct.

Yes! What you need to do is...

When you go to your signature you have the address (that's fine), but you need to surround the address with these codes. This at the beginning of your address: [URL]

SunnyD57 09-11-2003 05:00 PM

And this: [/URL] at the end of your address without any spaces in between. It is part of the code you need to make it a link. Do it just as you see it done in the bold print, okay.

Hope I have helped you understand... I really must be going now, catch you later.

Hi there!

I found out alot of people are putting in for that position, some are in title so, I probably won't get it, wishfull thinking, but am still happy were I am and not everyone can say that. I am planning a trip to Alaska next year in June and july I just recieved my amtrack tickets, taking train cross country to Vancouver and then taking cruise ship ti Whittier , and train then to Anchorage, spend a couple days then cruise from Seward to Vancouver then train home, I am excited, it will be fun, always wanted to see Alaska.
Judy- Love Dr, Ohil don't get to see him often, but He does say it like it is. Those Cookie, lolipops sound neat. especially with some spiritual verses with them. Thank God, I have always been blessed with Good vision 20:15 I have never needed glasses. Hope all goes well with the dance recital, sounds like fun.
Sunny- thanks so much for all your inspiration, and help I'll have to try your suggestions I don't have a digital camara, and my software for pictures is just what came with my p.c. from hewlett packard, I'll just have to keep trying.

doitforme 09-11-2003 05:22 PM

Sprout- Welcome sorry to hear about those fires getting after you and wilma, pray rain soon takes care of them, they can wreck such devistation. I will keep both you and hubby in my prayers for healing, My pastor had a reoccurance of melanoma last spring he was given 7 months and he is now not showing any melanoma, he is at extreme risk for reoccurance, but there is only one answer the Lord intervened, back to that amazing grace and healing. I agree with you the wonderful Grace of Jesus is amazing, thank God he doesn't give us what we deserve. I agree with your comments about evolution, that is all our area public schools teach. Good luck at tops keep us posted. Angel-lover- so sorry to hear about your co-workers that is sad, pray it gets easier for you, and that your soon feeling much better, as well love your graphics as well !

E.Z- We are not surprised with your list of attributes we knew that all along, your the only male we keep around all others have disappeared, that does have to say something for ya. We depend on ya for your yummy dinner suggestions, right through to manly advice, it all comes in handy not to mention how sweet you are! saves me getting my chocolate fix- NOT sounds good, but then again not much does, get between me and chocolate sorry to say I have to agree with sunny and you I think we pretty much level with each other, and would not be surprised or disenchanted if we were to really meet with the dinners you and your dw prepare, I have been tempted to pop in for an evening meal. What 's one more mouth right? Happy to hear your nephew is adjusting well, it is a tough row, He can't help but love his mom, I am sure one day he will thank you for your love and support. Had an awesome church service tonight-- our church was full-- over 400 people in service and another 200 that left after dinner-- we had several local Marines share their story of Iraq and Afghanastan-- the school kids sang and did a talent show while we had our BBQ outside-- I talked to my pastor and told him that there was just as many here tonight as last year and I was surprised-- he said that some people say we shouldn't hold these services-- we should move on-- I told him WE HAVE TO CONTINUE THESE SERVICES--WE CAN'T EVER-EVER FORGET

Off to bed- Peace- HIS PEACE- Gary

SunnyD57 09-12-2003 07:59 AM

Good Morning everyone :dizzy:

http://www.sweetrainbow.com/freeclipart/srgattiani.gifIt was one busy & strange day yesterday. When I came home from shopping with my girlfriend I noticed that my Guido was getting sicker. He had been arfing for a day, but I thought 'fur-balls'...NOT! This kitty is ill! So he has a Dr's appoint this morning @ 9:30. Although, I did notice this morning he is acting like his old self again, but he's still going to be sure he is okay. I think he ate something that may have gotten stuck --- the darn cat eats everything under the sun! If I (or Joe) forget to put anything away that he might get into... it is in his mouth if he finds it, so off we go to the vets $$$$$$

Other then that is was a great day! The Tea was so much fun! (Got some pics, Gary ;) ) And so was the Tupperware party (even though I didn't buy anything). De always puts out a good spread of goodies, but mostly it was just great to enjoy the family & friends gathered. I bet there were about 20 or so there. Nice!

Enough about me...

GARY ~ That church service last night sounded so Beautiful! I think the services should go on too... I would like to see services for the Viet Nam vets more often too in remembrance. They went through so very much for our country. But I am glad that we have learned and now are not letting time get in the way of what happened to all those children who lost their parents, mother's who lost their children and husbands & wives who lost their partners. We must remember. How did the nephew do last night? Sing well? ;)

SPROUT ~ Sorry, but somehow your link is not linking... :?: All I can say is to keep trying. Maybe you can go to one of the 3fatchicks and ask them? Or ask on the journal board what they do. "Luck!"

JUDY ~ What is Trompe L'oeil :?: How are your crafts coming along for the troop?

SUE ~ You are welcome! Mine came with the pc as well... I also have HP cp. I hope you can work it out - I sure would love to see you and anything else you want to share. Have a great camping weekend! I'll pray for a dry one ;) The Alaska trip sounds absolutely wonderful! Something to really look forward to, huh. Save those $$ ;)

By the way, Sue... there is a forum titled Dr. Phil's Wt. Loss Challange Continued that I have found to be an interesting read if you want to pop over. I don't say much there, but I do enjoy the read :) Very interesting opinions & point of views :^:

Gonna keep praying that you get that promotion!!! Never give up.

I do hope that everyone else is doing well. Miss seeing you all here, but understand that life takes you elsewhere at times. You are all still in my thoughts and continued Prayers.

God can't let you down.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to prevent you fautless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen Jude 1:24-25
