Hello friends and welcome to new ones! ;) Marilyn, welcome to the group, are you the one i saw on the journals? Glad you found us! And I pray that you are healed and your DH too! Gosh that's a lot to put on your plate, thank God we have him to turn to, huh? Hang in there and thank you for telling us about yourself.

Today was going really well, until this evening......:( Didn't make all my goals today. And I feel like cr&p.....so tired. Tomorrow I'm going for a walk after work. I've been working every night this week doing mystery shopping and it's taken a toll on me. No more for awhile. I need to take care of me.

OK, i'll admit it, i'm hooked on Paradise Hotel! Can't wait for tonight's episode. If anyone is watching, I love the Barbie group! It really is a good study on human behavior and on good and evil. I wonder if they had a 30+ version if they'd act so ridiculous?

I'm thinking of all of you and praying that all you needs and desires are met by our Heavenly Father! :grouphug:

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

HI CE'ers--

Hi everyone:wave:

Was hoping to see a little more posting today after yesterdays slugfest between the S&S SISTERS ;)

Glad to have you hereMARILYN -- you have come to the right place for support. Boy you and your husband have been through a lot in the last several years-- God bless you! That is a whole heck of a bunch of miles to walk-- good for you. My wife and I trained 6 months to walk a 26.2 mile marathon-- we did 430 miles in that time-- started out doing 1-2 a day-- ended up doing 19-20 miles some days towards the end. It is great that you are keeping track of it-- helps with the incentive!! keep coming here for support.

MICHELE - I forgot to mention that when I quit keeping the journal my weight shot back up to 178-- of course a little bit to do with it could be that when I quit exercising I quit keeping a journal and when I quit keeping a journal I quit eating as well and when I quit eating as well I had nothing good to write-- have something good to write-- I am going to start a new journal since I started using my elliptical again.

SUNNYD :flow1: I am with you-- where is everyone- but ya know what? that is what happens here! That is why Wilma, Michele, Sherry, Sami and I are so thankful for you and our other new friends!! People come and go--I have stayed for over a year-- HEY MAYBE IT'S ME-- driving them away;)

I cheer a whole bunch at games-- but in a good way-- I never/EVER say anything bad about a kid on either team-- you may never know who is around. I learned that years ago when I was in high school-- a couple of buddies and myself were really bad-mouthing a player on our high school football team during a play-off game-- come to find out his parents were sitting right behind us--- after the game the mom told us it hurt her feelings for us to say such things and that her boy was doing his best-- boy did I feel small-- of course one of the reasons (and not a good one) we were saying rotten things was that he was a bully-- we didn't say anything to his mom-- we just ate a big dose of humble pie--UMMMM.

Well Angie and I are co-cooking dinner tonight-- tostadas! Oh, I got the greatest e-mail today-- it started out "Hi Daddy-- remember when all the girls on the tennis team came for your cheese enchiladas? Well guess what- we are going to try and make them here at school-- how do we do it?" Excuse me while I strut:lol:

IN HIS LOVE- Gary

EZMONEY 09-10-2003 08:33 PM

MICHELE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We post together again-- I am ashamed to admit it but I love that stupid Paradise Hotel show--- Angie cannot stand those programs--- I watch alone!! But I don't care-- I have no class and am not afraid to admit it:lol: I love the Barbie group too-- I think the boys are truly good people-- the girls I am not so sure about-- but they are certainly better than the others- especially that loud mouth short one- forgot her name-- the one who hooked up with that other idiot that got kicked out this week for threats- ZAC?

Just something special to remind everyone that God is still on the throne. 9/11/2001 is on my heart tonight and I awoke thinking about it. My prayers continue to go out to those that lost love ones, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc 2 years ago. Even though we might have been thousands of miles away. . . . . . .we all were affected.

Good night my friends. :tired: :grouphug: Say your prayers. Here's something to remember:

What if God decided to stop leading us tomorrow because we didn't follow HIM today?
What if God couldn't take the time to bless us today because we couldn't take the time to thank HIM yesterday?
What if we never saw another flower bloom because we grumbled when God sent the rain?
What if God didn't walk with us today because we failed to recognize it as HIS day?
What if God took away the Bible tomorrow because we didn't read it today?
What if God took away the messenger because we failed to listen to the message? (Think about this one!)
What if God didn't send His only begotten Son because HE wanted us to be prepared to pay the price for sin?
What if the door of the church was closed because we did not open the door of our heart?
What if God stopped loving and caring for us because we failed to love and care for others?
What if God would not hear us today because we have not listened to HIM?
What if God answered our prayers the way we answer HIS call to service?
What if God met our needs the way we give HIM our lives?
JESUS LOVES YOU!!!!! Don't FORGET it!!!!

http://www.tcdesign.net/Misc/starsnstripesw_ribbon.jpg Hi everyone....just a quick post, I'm afraid.

Co-manager's dad is dying...so I'm at the station full time for a few days. Remember the family in prayer. Had a full day yesterday...it was unexpected. He's been real sick, I just wasn't expecting a call yesterday. Manager & co-manager (my close friend) are husband & wife....so when one is gone, it's usually both. Control room operator is out of town on vacation. (wouldn't you know it!!) Anyhow...I managed...took toll on my poor ole body!

I'm praying for all...

I am so touched by your 9/11 pictures. I was so scared that day for my husbands life. My husband is an eviromental engineer at a bomb plant. They make platoniom here. He does mostly clean up now. I thought if we were under attack his job location would be a top target. He asured me that they were not going to attack his job site. So many innocent people died that day.So many lives changed. I don't know about you ,but I truly believe that we are living in the end times. When the rapture happens I'm ready. I have a bumper sticker that says" In the event of the rapture cars yours". One location I feel is in big danger of terroristic attack is Disney World.

On a happier note. Laura is dancing this weekend at a craft fair in town. I am making cookee pops in terecotta pots. They look like flowers in a pot. They have inspirational sayings on the flowers. The flowers will be made of rice crispy treats. I will icing them with royal icing and decorate them. This is to help raise money for the dance troop. Later in the day the girls will be practicing with a choreographer from New York. She will be training them all weekend.

Be back bye

Good Morning my Friends...

http://www.angelfire.com/mi2/grami/_...e/pentagon.gif

Hello all!
Just a quick note right now. Today I have a very full day! It is, our niece, Lia's 30th Birthday today (I feel so bad for her --- to have a B-D on 9/11) and we are going to cheer her up by taking her to an afternoon "Tea" Birthday party at a Tea Room. There will be about 11 or 12 of us there. Lia is the one that is due for baby #2 the third week of Oct. (Sierra is her oldest, the little one that just turned 6 the other day). And then I go to meet my girlfriend for our grocery shopping afternoon. Then tonight... I have a Tupperware Party to go to. I am going for my sis-in-law --- but I truly hate those selling parties! Besides, now you can buy Glad or Ziplock containers so much cheaper. As I said, I am going for my SIL in support, but she always puts on a good party so I am sure I will have a good time visiting with everyone.

You all have a Beautiful & Reflective Day today... I am thinking of you with kindness & love in my heart for you.
May God's Blessing surround you.

SHERRY ~ Thank-you so much for that Beautiful thought-for-the-day... so very encouraging.

Angel, So good to hear from you! ;) You & your friends are in my thoughts & prayers during this rough time in their lives & yours! (((Hugs))) God Bless!

Hi JUDY ~ Just love your bumper-sticker  ~ it's great!

My Joe & I also believe we are "in the last days". Many of our Christian friends believe the same... God said when we stay close to HIM - His children will reconize the signs! Just keep your candle lit, by prayer & reading... God will be your guide & protection.

You have a wonderful day making your cookee pops in your pots for your daughter --- I have seen those done, adorable! How many do you have to make? Have fun doing them! Too bad I am so far away... I'd come and lend a helping hand. Just love crafty things to do. Wishing your daughter & dance troop well this week-end!

God's Blessings for a good & successful day!

wilma12 09-11-2003 08:58 AM

Good Morning!

It's another rainy day here but we do need it. I don't know if any of you have heard about all the forest fires up here in Canada. Many have lost their homes so the rain is most welcome.

I have been doing really well with my WOE. I faithfully take my salads and fruit for lunch. Last night I did indulge in chicken strips but had half as many as I usually do. I weigh in on the 18th and am looking forward to seeing the difference. Some of my clothes are fitting better now and that makes me so much more comfortable.

Marilyn: A big WELCOME to you. I have been overweight since I was 13 and know the struggles you have gone through. I sure hope you find support here. Keep us posted on how it's going.

Sunny: Have a good time at the party. I used to like going to them but now find that I don't have the time to go. I agree with you about the other containers although Tupperware has some really neat stuff.

eisenj: Those cookie pops sound so cute. I used to love doing things like that when my guys were little.

Angel: I hope you're coping well with the stresses at work. Remember that you're not alone even if you think you are.

mrshummer: Thanks for the reminder. Today is an anniversary of an event that is so horrible. I pray that there isn't a repeat. I do have to keep reminding myself that God is in control and HE knows what is going to happen and give us the strength to carry on if it does. By the way, how are you doing with your weight loss?

Gary: Never ever think that you're driving people away. I don't know if I would be doing my work outs if it wasn't for your encouragement. I appreciate your being here. Did your daughter let you know how her cooking evening went?

Michele: How are you doing with your weight loss? I've been reading up on the diet you're on and it seems healthier than the Atkins diet.

Sami: You must be swamped with wedding preparations. Did you solve your DD's wedding dress problem? Praying for you.

Zoe: Where are you, girl? I miss you!!

Have a wonderful day!

Mitchypoo 09-11-2003 09:14 AM

Hello all!

It is a day for reflection but I already think of it as Patriot's Day! I'm so proud of how our country rallied together and there were many hero's on that day. All of our lives changed that day, in some way we were all touched, but I choose to see the positive side of it and all the good things that happened. God Bless America! and all loving people worldwide.

Wilma~I am doing Atkins (or trying to!). ;) After reading his book you may understand that it is not unhealthy at all. I'm interested in knowing about the South Beach diet, i hear it's similar but allows certain other choices like fruit and whole grains. That may be a bad idea for me, but I'm not sure, cuz i don't understand how it works.

Make it a great day!

SunnyD57 09-11-2003 09:24 AM

Hi again...

Just another quick note before I head into the shower (no comments from the peanut-gallery  )...

Hi GARY! DON'T EVER think you are driving anyone away! I agree with Wilma... you are TOPS! I really do enjoy 'your' point of view and your sense of humor. So keep sticking (!) around here.
You, my friend, would be very missed!

And I love to hear things like your DD's note --- how nice, huh! You have to right to be strutting, you gave of yourself and now you get to be there for the rewards... a daughter & son that look up to you ;) Keep on struttin' :D

Don't work too hard...

 Morning WILMA! Thanks for the well-wishes :) I was told that Tupperware has come out with some cool stuff too. I'll take a look-see tonight.

Congrats! In staying with your program, it is really tough to do when coming off a vacation... thumbs up ;)

My prayers for all those suffering in those fires! I just couldn't imagine.

Hi MICHELE  You are so right there! We have allot to be proud of, don't we.

I have to catch you again later --- I really must be going.
Have a great day! ;)

Till tonight...
Have a good day with the Lord today!
:sunny:

A NEW DAY

HA LADIES

Getting ready to go to work- got up at 5 to watch the news-- since 9-11-01 I have turned the tv on every morning to watch the news--sad, sad day. We have a BBQ and service at church tonight- last year we got a tremendous amount of people from the community. The nephew gets extra credit if he goes and sings-- I told him I have heard him sing and I'll give him $20 to not sing:lol:

Nice to see you doing great on your diet Wilma!

Have a great busy day SunnyD-- I agree with the Tupperware, however we have some in our house I know is 20 years old-- But I don't feel too bad leaving the Gladware at church after potlucks either.

Sherry thanks for the prayer-- Blessings and prayers for your day.

Angel-Lover- sorry about the hardships that you are facing again-- thank God for your faith.

Judy have fun with all that "spectating"- I used to love to watch my daughter when she was in tap and ballet between the ages of 4 and 11-- then she discovered tennis.

Michele- I saw a 20/20 or dateline on the South Beach- looked interesting.

Sami-- how are those wedding plans going?

Anyone seen Zoe?

Hi to all the new-comers-- come back and visit.

Have a blessed and safe day- Gary
