Good Morning, Everyone!https://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/ima...iles/wavey.gif

Last night: Full Body Stretch
This Morning: Oxycise

The scale is not my friend this morning. I think I had a gain last Saturday, too. I would have to go back to look but I don't have time. Anyways, I think I don't get enough water on the weekends and I cook us a hearty dinner. I probably need to try upping the water on Saturday and see if that combats the sodium. I cook how DH wants his food prepared and he eats more salt than I do. It tastes good to me but it's just too much and I'm too sensitive.

Calories for yesterday: 1705 + :coffee:
Weigh In: 186.2
Up: 1 pound

Have a Blessed day!

Jude 24
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.

There was a girl by the name of Jennifer who was always getting herself into trouble because she couldn't say no. She had absolutely no resistance to any temptation. Then she met Beth. Beth was able to be a voice of reason and common sense for Jennifer. Jennifer knew that if she was tempted, Beth would get her through. Jesus Christ can be to us what Beth was to Jennifer; He can be our voice of reason. Whenever we feel ourselves being tempted, we need to turn toward Him. He is able to keep us from falling. When we find ourselves too weak to handle a situation, we can rest assured that Jesus is indeed strong enough.

Today's thought: Jesus can keep me on the right track!

Needing accountability

Hi everyone. What do they say in the movies? I'm baaa-ack. :) So I'm at the point where I know I need to do something about my weight, I really want to do something about my weight, I'm going to do something about my weight... Right after that bag of chips. I know, I'm just a little bit pathetic! But you all sound marvellous and I'm hoping the accountability helps me to ignore the very loud call of the bag of chips. I'm a single mom of a four year old, so getting out of the house to exercise isn't possible (except the walks I take with munchkin which aren't really exercise in much other than patience), but (and here's where I feel I may salvage some pride) I have started doing a bit of cardio most evenings in my living room using a small stool /step. Yes, yes, it's only about 12 mins a night, but the sweat /heavy breathing combo makes me think it must be doing something! So now just to get the sugar intake down. I hope letting you all know how it's going will help! Oh, I weigh about 81kgs at this stage. Shocker!!! Right, onwards and upwards.

ciecie 02-03-2019 09:56 AM

good morning! i'll have breakfast and work out in a few minutes. :D

nancylmrn 02-03-2019 11:12 AM

Good morning to all
WI still up no change 169.6, I did not get my steps in yesterday and choose to take a 1.5 nap instead LOL calories though were under 1500 and today's meals are planned but not logged yet.
Oh hey Larry I ordered two silicone molds for my IP to make sous vide bites. I have made them with my sous vide wand before but it really is a lot of trouble to put the egg mixture into jars then in the water bath. I love to prep/make breakfast ahead of time that way I can crab-n-go. They say you can freeze them but I am thinking that the texture would be off when you re-heat them....Has anyone else tried to freeze them???????

Welcome back momwannabe!!
Oh my stars Weekend  :D I am so glad that is sounds like life has settled down some for you but geez I am so glad you have stayed (I hope) sane  You need a vacation....come out west and visit. What are greenheads?

Ok back later I hear some eggs cooking and I can't let DH continue to in the kitchen that just spells ---smoke alarm---

ciecie 02-03-2019 11:37 AM

welcome back momwannabe! :D

momwannabe 02-03-2019 12:29 PM

Thanks, Nancy and Ciecie. It's evening here, so time to get on with some exercise before dinner. Hope everyone has a good day.

ciecie 02-03-2019 03:16 PM

had a great day here. won't be watching the superbowl. not a fan. :D

Diana3271 02-03-2019 03:37 PM

momwannabe Welcome back! :welcome2:

ciecie 02-03-2019 03:42 PM

will be going for a brief power walk and run an errand in a few minutes. :D

jendiet 02-03-2019 08:31 PM

Jules, so glad to hear DD is not only done with surgery but we'll enough to play

Jojo and namesJames, momwannabe welcome step stools are serious workouts!, great support system here

ciecie, yay for packages and I'm not much of a sports fan either....I watch if it's on and it's a fellowship thing, if not, I do not care.

Larry, great on the report, boo on the plateau, but your body is just in an adjustment phase with all the loss.

flower, plateaus suck. I pray it breaks and I agree stick with it...I pray your digestive ssystem mellows out, have you tried papaya enzymes?

Nancy, boo on that, but workouts always give temporary gains, I also took a nap yesterday instead of hashing out my step goals...I didn't actually even look at the total...hopefully when I sync my watch after its charged, it will tell me. I realized Samsung Health was somehow interfering in my sync to Google fit??? I needed a nap so bad but then I didn't fall asleep until 400 am...

Diana, so glad all results are good news.

Granny, how are you???

weekend, feeling better thank you for asking, what LS workout helped with knee. It's so awesome DH does that with you. Wasn't it granny and DH that did some renovating together?

Rachel, awesome on weight lifting goals!!!

ok, yesterday was 2100 calories, I turned down food twice after we went out to eat @ golden corral this afternoon. I only racked up 1800 thank God. 180.2 yesterday, 180.4 today ..if I hadn't taken that nap, today would have sucked...yes my calories are high, but it could be A LOT WORSE and I'm working on reeling it in...

so far I'm holding my ground this close to TOM ...not gaining...so figure maintenance is 1700 without extra exercise...

I think I am 3 days until TOM, but I woke up with a migraine so could be sooner..
which ds3 prayed away again...he actually tapped my forehead with his finger several times this time...I take pain killer but it doesn't always work and when it does, the pain rebounds, but not with my little guys prayer of Faith. Thank you Jesus.

nancylmrn 02-03-2019 09:09 PM

Well I did not come close to getting my steps in today. Cold cold and spitting snow, expect a few inches tonight. My boss called me this afternoon and told me we will be starting late tomorrow because of the weather and if my neighborhood is too dicey just stay home. I live in what we often joke when we call it the 'bottom of the cereal bowl" We can not get to the main highway without having to go up not just a hill but A HILL in any direction. One year I got to nearly the top and poof car could not make it and I slid backwards and had no control to the bottom. So me being me, I managed to turn around and get a running start again and made it over the top....of course there were more hills but none that steep.

So tonight I made a roast in my IP with potato's, carrots and onions. I stuck to just a few oz of meat and a few bites of veggies. but the real downfall has been the few glasses of wine I am enjoying watching the Superbowl Good thing the game is nearly over. I will be back in the am, night gals

Diana3271 02-03-2019 09:55 PM

Hi Everyone!

I had a bit of a stressful day. I just really need to go with the flow. I had Children's Sunday School and Church today. I don't have children, I'm an only child and have never been around children. So I am always left feeling a bit frazzled but I am happy to help out. On top of that one of our members has mental health issues. Another member is struggling with the loss of her husband. These two live next door to each other. The one who lost her husband hasn't been to church in a year. She has become very withdrawn. So the lady with the mental health issues called me and asked for a ride to church tonight. I went to pick her up and was waiting on her while she was eating dinner. I decided to take a risk and call the other lady and see if she would go to church with us. I left a message on her voice mail. The next thing the lady who lost her husband came walking into the house with me and the other lady. She had her pajamas on. We were all sitting at the table talking and enjoying each other's company. It was 20 minutes before church. I told them both. It's time to go to church. Let's go. The one in the pajamas said "I've got my pajamas on" I said "you've got clothes on, let's go". I got both of them loaded up in the car and we went to church. Our church family has really missed these two and I was glad that I was able to get them to church. But I was left really feeling frazzled today. I pray the lady in pajamas will see how much she is loved and missed and she will continue to come back.

My breakfast and lunch were my normal lower calorie foods. But when I got home I had teriyaki wings with DH. He made a variety of wings for the Super Bowl. I didn't eat anything else, but I am sodium sensitive so that won't be good.

Have a blessed evening!

ciecie 02-04-2019 12:05 AM

good morning! will be shutting down in a few minutes to go to bed. didn't watch the super bowl. watched repeats of America's got talent-the champions instead. :D

momwannabe 02-04-2019 03:15 AM

Sounds like everyone's caught up in the Superbowl. I only know that through American
movies! But it sounds like a big deal. Hope you all enjoyed it.
Such a small success, but last night I did 15 minutes of cardio versus the 12 I've managed up to now! Is it pathetic to call 3 minutes a success?? I was sopping wet at the end of it!
Today is my first day of better eating, so I'm hanging in there!

flower123 02-04-2019 03:26 AM

Hi all
The stomach acid thing is really exhausting and draining. I took Zantac today but it seems worse. Nothing I am doing seems to help. I took a double dose of probiotics tonight. Will take more before bed. Didnt even feel like eating a lot tonight.
For those who pray, I would be grateful if you would pray for me. I need to get this under control so I can go to Boston. And I do want to go. I would be so sad to miss out on it. But I know I need to feel better in order to go. The good news is I asked the nurse practitioner to test for everything under the sun that could be causing this and the slow weight loss. She came up with nothing after checking systems etc. including thyroid. So that's great!! Just need prayer. Hopefully the added doses of probiotics will help quickly. Thus the prayer request. thank you. :)

Diana I LOVED your story about rouonding up the two women and getting them to church. One, in her pjs. How awesome of you to tell her to go without changing clothes. Really wise. And loving as well. I hope she was able to take in the love that she got from people, including you. You did GREAT :) BTW, sorry for that gain. It will come off. But I know it feels not so good to get bad news from one's scale. They can betray us :(

Jen thanks for suggesting papaya enzyme. I think I did try it over the years for stomach acid. Honestly I have wasted hundreds of dollars on enzymes, Colodial Clay, DGL, L Glutamine, PPIs All sorts of antacids.... the list goes on. And now Zantac which did not help at all. I am thinking serious probiotic therapy is the way to go. But that's a real investment. I hear ya when you say your caloric intake could be a lot worse. I think you are doing great mitigating the damage. Controlling the calories wherever possible. It shows you still are in charge. That's really good. Wow re DS3 Awesome that he is gifted. Sounds like he has a really beautiful heart. Hope TOM is kind to you this month.

Weekend boater thanks. yes I have been listening to NECN weather. I am taking the greyhound bus to Boston on Wednesday. Going back on Saturday. I just hope the pats parade will not be on Saturday. I have to leave from So. Station which is right downtown. I hope the haddock was delicious. I used to eat Cod every day.

Momawannabe Great that you are back at 3fc. 3 extra minutes is a big success as far as I am concerned. Congrats on starting again. You are off to a great start.

Nancylmrn great story about you getting up the hill. You are a much more courageous driver than I. I stand in honor of your driving prowess. It snows most days during the winter (fall and spring) where I live. So driving on snowy roads is pretty routine around here. But I am a coward around hills.

Ciecie glad you got some down time tonight to just watch TV.

Hi to everyone I did not mention

I am trying to get ready to go to see family. the only pants I have that fit are jeans. The rest are too small. I may have to go to the thrift store to see if there is a pair of decent pants. I am just concerned about making it there with my gut the way it is. It honestly does not seem like a good idea. But my family gets together only once a year. I SO want to go. and I would lose the money I spent for the round trip bus ticket.
calories today: total 880 Would have been more but I didnt feel like eating much.
I hope everyone has a great Monday. <3

Rachel1234 02-04-2019 06:40 AM

Good morning

Diana, I love it that the lady went to church in her PJ's! God bless her!

Yesterday's goals were met, except for the fiber. I actually got weights lifted, too, so that's done for a few days. I lift twice a week. The weekly caloric intake average was 1212. Very happy with that.

Today: :broc::woops: sit-ups, fiber, 2 liters water, 1200 calories.

I've really been enjoying as a snack 1/2 cup of low fat ice cream(70 calories) mixed with chia seeds(60 calories). Filling and satisfying.

Thank you all for being here. So helpful to me to be accountable to you all.

Flower I just prayed for you.

Last night: Nothing
This Morning: Oxycise

Calories for yesterday: Unknown (chicken wings :p )
Weigh In: 187.8
Back at it today. Also, my scale has been acting up. Last week I got error messages. I thought it was the batteries. I replaced them. This morning it was acting up again. So, it's time to replace it. It's 10+ years old. It might even be closer to 20.

Have a Blessed day and a great start to your week!

Today's devotion really spoke to me.

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

February 4

Psalm 65:3
Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

I remember trying to fly a kite at the beach once. I would run as hard as I could in the sand, and it felt like I wasn't getting anywhere. I couldn't run fast enough to keep the kite aloft. Often dieting feels the same way. The harder we try, the farther we seem from our goal. It really doesn't seem worth all the effort it takes. However, we need to hold on. When I tried to fly my kite, a sudden gust of wind came and took it high into the sky. The Holy Spirit of God comes to us just like a gust of wind, helping us reach our goals and making the result well worth the effort.

Today's thought: Jesus will give us the extra lift we need to lose weight!

Good morning/afternoon to all
WI up .8 170.4 yikes again. It is snowing again (flower I could not live where you do....as for hills most do not know that the hills from Seattle south and I am south are numerous and steep think San Francisco) I have not left for work but I did get a workout in! Did Fitness Blender day 1 of 5 day challenge 48 minutes long and I am dripping wet. It was a pretty intense HIIT and Strength training.

granny welcome back
Diana that was so awesome about bringing those two together to church with you
flower I wish I had some suggestions for you with the acid and weight loss but I fear you and I are just a bit stuck right now but it will pass, praying
momwannabe congratulations for the workout it does not matter how short or long the fact that you did it, you should be proud
Jen how is the migraine today? I over ate yesterday so I gave up tracking it so I am not surprised with my gain.

hugs to all going to go drink a cup of coffee and watch it snow ...lots of big fluffy flakes

ciecie 02-04-2019 12:20 PM

good afternoon! got home from power walking and running errands a few minutes ago. just had lunch. :D

momwannabe 02-04-2019 01:06 PM

I am so jealous to everyone who has snow! It has been unbearably hot here the last week. Makes everyone cranky!

I am so pleased I joined the group again. Thanks for all being so supportive. It's also great to hear that everyone has good days and bad days and lives that aren't always about weight loss. Virgin has a campaign on at the moment called "Enough" which encourages incorporating exercise into daily living. I like it.

I did 15 mins of cardio again tonight. Woop! Calories for the day between 950 and 1000. Not bad for day 1. Now just to keep it up!

Hope everyone has a good day! Sorry to hear people aren't feeling well. Hope everyone's back to health soon!

momwannabe 02-04-2019 01:06 PM

Jealous of not jealous to. See, the heat fries my brain!

ciecie 02-04-2019 02:38 PM

good afternoon! will go for a power walk and run errands later on this afternoon. :D

nancylmrn 02-04-2019 02:53 PM

Ok so in addition to my Cardio/HIIT/Strength training this am, and our office closed because of the weather I just finished shoveling our porch, steps, walkway and driveway of snow....yeah for cardio

Weekend Boater 02-04-2019 02:59 PM

Hi ladies  a quickie for now as I want to move my tail. I will go outdoors more or do the WII. Went for a walk today, it's mild! OMG! feels so good after that cold spell!

Flower, I so hope you feel better! jeans are nice too! I have these black booties I always wear and with jeans I wear long black top and sometimes pair with along necklace. The beauty of jeans is they are so versatile as you can dress them up or down. I do hope that you make the trip, somehow I think you will feel much better if you do but oh I understand, it's hard when not feeling well. I did send prayers your way to feel better. I think the superbowl parade is on Tuesday (the 5th, or at least that is what I read) so you should be safe. The weather looks decent on Wednesday and not a bad week with no snow in sight. Feel better

Nancy, thanks again :) bravo for getting right back to it today and doing workouts!! I hope that you ahd a nice time last night. I had a planned off plan dinner and was well P! lol I don't dare even spell it. I knew I would suffer the consequence regarding tummy bloat from the sodium and cheese but was willing to pay the price! lol Right back to a light schedule today, went for a walk, and will have roast chicken and broccoli tonight. I have to be extra good now, I just know this month will go by so fast.

GrannyNancy, wb! I hope you had a nice trip and congrats on keeping your weight steady whilst away! :carrot:

Diana, that really was such a nice thing that you did..getting the ladies to church. That meant so much! My aunt lost her husband last year and is isolating, your being able to get her not only out but to the church and the social members.......god bless you!

Jen, I am so glad that your feeling better. I think it was granny that was doing remodeling with DH yes. I cheated last night with a heavy dinner so I am taking it easy today and will make sure to drink my water tonight. The days are getting longer here which is so nice! Do you like to walk?

ciecie, wtg on those power walks! :carrot:

Rachel, wtg as well on your accomplishments! :carrot:

momwannabe, not pathetic at all!!!!!! oh no! That is fantastic! Bravo on your progress and 15 min, great work! :carrot:

I big hi to everyone else and sorry if I missed anyone. I have to run but hope to catch up with you all soon and wish you all a great new day!

ciecie 02-04-2019 03:13 PM

thanks weekendboater! :D

Weekend Boater 02-04-2019 07:22 PM

Jen, I am so sorry I forgot your question about which LS helped my knee, I really think it was the whole thing together. I started witht he LS 3 mile heart walk! I loved it really and there were lots of arm movements! I know that we are all unique and our injuries are all unique. I swear that that LS tape helped me IOns, in addition to doing exercises that the physical showed me (very briefly) laying down and doing leg lifts etc. THe aim was to strenghthen the quads. I was sure to eat clean protein for my muscles and I dropped weight, which is a biggie as well! Just a 10 lb. loss alone can be so less on the joints. After that tape, walking, etc I started adding the other LS tapes (all the miles). I since had slacked off on both exercise and gained some weight and noticed a difference! I am back to wearing my sneakers, dropping the extra weight, and keeping my muscles strong (via protein and the exercises). The leslie samsone tapes are great in that they have a lot of leg lifts, knee lifts. I would love a partner so anytime you want to join in, please lets do so! Hang in there!

Diana3271 02-04-2019 10:22 PM

Hi Everyone!

I ordered another scale today. I'm not sure if I am going to be able to get my current one to work tomorrow. It has been acting wonky for a week. I'm getting a lot of error messages and it will also show the old weight without being able to weigh again. Today I literally had to pick it up and shake it to get it to work. LOL It's really old and I have gotten good use out of it. The new one is suppose to arrive on Monday.

I cheated on my diet, I decided to try my collagen drink again, I FINALLY got it to blend and taste good with 2 Oz milk and 1 tablespoon cottage cheese. It took the sickly sweet taste away...I forgot to put my chia seeds in it but will next time ..I should add more water next time. ..

chocolate cravings and fatigue were so bad I had a SECOND cup of coffee and put 3 tbsp whipped cream and drizzled chocolate OVER THAT...only AFTER that did I have any energy or pep despite watching clients grandchildren again....TOTAL BLAH and TOM started at 6:30 pm....usually starts in AM....hope my period tracker gets a clue and updates my cycle.. still having issues with watch app AND GOOGLE FIT, but WILL get my 10,000 today

weekend, I am so unreliable when it comes to work outs I don't want to mess you up, but I will definitely try it out and let you know what I think...

I do like to walk, but I hAve to figure out what to do with my boys, they start complaining wayyy before I'm done walking...we have a very hilly area...

Diana, I love your story and that you got the ladies to church even one in pjs. I had to watch kids so couldn't stay for street ministry this am, but I showed up in my pjs to say hey to everyone after I dropped ds2 @ school and the Pastor took a pic of me in my pjs...

Granny, I agree no gains while away ROCKS!!!

MOMwb, it was 65 here today and gorgeous! I do like snow though and get incredibly jealous when my friends close by get snow and we dont....

Nancy I went up too. Awesome on your fitness accomplishments!

Flower, peace to your digestive system in Jesus name.

ciecie, you are so u nbelievably cons I stent!!!

ciecie 02-04-2019 11:57 PM

jendiet, thanks! will be shutting down in a few minutes to go to bed. :D

flower123 02-05-2019 12:20 AM

Hey all
weight same as yesterday.
Will write pnersonals later. But thanks everyone for the prayers and words of support. Late last night I was woozy. I felt that my body needed some well chosen carbs and oil. So I made white rice with olive oil.
This morning the wooziness was not there. I do not do well without grain carbs for long periods of time. Same with oil. I lose strength and yes, get woozy.
Today i doubted I was going to be able to make the trip. The gut was a mess. Seems a bit better now. I have not mentioned that I for years have had IBS. I realized that maybe part of this flair up may be due to dairy. So no more baked cheese bites. No more low calorie feta. It's my "Hail Mary" so to speak. Hoping it helps.
Today:
Low acid coffee with cashew milk. 100
L cod fish, white rice with EVOO. 550
D ground chicken with tsp arrowroot, 4T carrot purée, sesame oil and cabbage. 430
total calories 1080
no more getting on the scale. It is my foe! I think scales should be programmed to show compassion where it is needed. Honesty is NOT always the best policy

I hope everyone is having a great night. I hope to do personals later.

JulesMarion 02-05-2019 12:22 AM

Hi all, this weekend has been nuts. I have been in bed half the weekend. Antibiotics are helping but the headache remains- though now it’s just behind my eyes, and my genius hubby figured it’s probably because it’s been 2.5 years since I’ve had my eyes checked. I take the kids to the dentist and eye doctor and all that but somehow I forget that it’s also important that I do? Haha. So I will get that taken care of soon. Eating has been ... I won’t go into it, but not bingeing is a good thing. Just haven’t been making the best choices.

DD is great, she’s racing around the house like a little wild woman.

momwannabe 02-05-2019 03:06 AM

Happy day to everyone! I will write some messages tonight. Teeny loss this morning after day 1. About 0.5 to 0.8 pounds (we do kilograms). My scale is also dodgy - seems to be a theme among us! But mine isn't old at all. It just changes the reading if you move it three inches left or right! Frustrating! It seemed pretty consistent on the downwards movement though, which is good!

ciecie 02-05-2019 05:13 AM

good morning! will have breakfast and work out in a few minutes. :D

Rachel1234 02-05-2019 06:18 AM

Good morning

Grannynancy, Welcome back! You were missed!

WeekendBoater, thank you for words of encouragement!

When I was on the treadmill yesterday, I got an ambulance call (I'm a volunteer EMT). So did not get the rest of the workout in later in the day. Also didn't do very well with fiber or veggies. Will try again today.

Today: treadmill, sit-ups and stretching, fiber (I'm out of salad), 2 liters of water and 1200 calories.

Feeling kind of out of kilter today: the ambulance call was the husband of a dear friend. He didn't make it. He was terminal. When I got home yesterday, I dipped into the bridge mix, which I keep on hand for Scrabble games. Numbing my emotions......

God bless you all & hug your loved ones.

ciecie 02-05-2019 06:50 AM
