Default Anyone here on a "new age" path?

Hi
i would have put this in the "faith based" forum. But that's all for religion. "New age" (for lack of a better term I can think of) is not religion.

I was wondering if anyone here lives this alternative lifestyle? I find myself hiding that part of who I am here. Anyone else?

Hi Flower; I'm not a new-ager but I did read a book about the new age movement once, because I wanted to understand it more. It encompasses so many different things it's hard to even explain what it means. Like some people focus on angels and consider themselves new age. While others are into Reiki and call themselves new age. The bottom line is it is more experiential in focus. The 60s had a lot of new-agers for obvious reasons

I think a lot of people are afraid of anything they don't a) know much about and b) understand. It's not good you find yourself hiding that part of yourself on here. You should be able to speak freely about what is important to you. Why not start your own thread and over time it will attract like minded souls.

p.s. you have a beautiful kind face and I see in your signature kindness is important to you. (((love)))

Follena thank you for those lovely words. Yes, "new age" for lack of a better term encompasses all you mentioned, and much more. You mentioned the 1960s. Yes indeed. I was part of that.

I admire your desire to understand things more fully and then read about it. I find that people are naturally drawn to whatever lifestyle they are meant to be living. For me it has always been this. I am deeply grateful for all the wonderful folks I know here at 3FC. They truly have beautiful hearts.

Finally anyone who sees or is in recognition of "kindness" and "beauty" in another, has those very same qualities within themselves. Otherwise they would have no way to recognize them in others. So congrats on being "kind" and "beautiful".

I've read many books on the law of attraction and applied the principles of it in my life.

I also use affirmations and audio and visual subliminals as part of my daily routine, which I think counts as new age.

Big into quantum mechanics and how consciousness can create reality.

yes, thats the stuff. All of the above, as you know. I bet you would like the work of Bruce Lipton. He is very interesting. Been around a while. And is a really sweet man. Maybe you already know about him.

Yes, I know about Bruce Lipton. In fact, I was reading a book this afternoon in which he was briefly mentioned and quoted. The book was 'Be Who You Came To Be' by Estelle Gillingham and I got it free on Kindle.
