I just googled it and it looks like it has some dangerous side effects.

Have you tried to lose weight in a healthy way, by eating a healthy and balanced diet?

From what I've read the Phentermine seems to really give your metabolism a kick start by curbing your appetite urges.

I can't really exercise, I walk slowly and often use a cane . I'm too fat to touch my toes or do situps.

At 305 lbs, I am about 125 lbs overweight. Weight loss surgery seems to be the only other alternative.

My tummy is ridiculously flabby, it really is like wearing a car tire around my midriff.the gut rolls on to my things when seated. It is hard to get a car seat belt to latch, etc.if you grab my lovehandles you will get a fistful of very soft blubber.

My waist is 54.5 inches, 34 would be more appropriate, so like 20 extra inches around the belly.the parea under the navel is so pooched out and soft.

I have to do something more drastic to reduce this or just accept and embrace being morbidly obese

I try not to proselytize but I was at my wits end when I tried Bright Line Eating (book on amazon) and for the first time in 35 years found something that would work. I tried phentermine in 2003 and it did not do much for me and I was scared the whole time I was taking it. Big though about BLE is the approach really neutralizes your hunger by controlling those glycemic spikes quite well .... it is the first thing I tried that has pulled the weight off of me since 1985. There is ALWAYS hope.

I feel the need to do something. In addition to my now literal spare tire, I have developed a respectable set/ rack of manboobs !

They are probably a strong B cup and jiggle when I brush my teeth, ugh ! Probably a better sized rack than most high school girls ?

Maybe I should call Cosmo Kramer for a mansierre fitting ?

My body is one hot mess !

Well my research found usual dosage is 15-30 mg. For a very short time like a month

My doctor, actually an APRN wrote it for 37.5mg with 2 refills !

I like a physician that will give you a good dose.

She knows I have a lot blubber to lose. I hope she knows what she is doing.

One concern I have is that she has a pretty big roll on her stomach

When I initially expressed concern about my megaroll to her she said we all have that after age 40, look at me.

I do love a fat friendly physician and a female doc is a must.

My hope is that magic pill will just make me slim and I will lose like 90 lbs in 90 days.

I discussed my weight issues with my other doctor ( nephroligist) today on the phone.she is okay with the Phentermine.

When I last saw her I weighed maybe 295 and asked about proper weight for me said like 190, you are basically 100 lbs overweight.

Today she said 260 would be a good goal to get to around a 35 BMI.

I get to see her on 12/21.

I like this woman as well as my general doctor , she really makes the changes to my meds

I am very honest with her, told her I started drinking again and my concerns about erectile dysfunction I have been experiencing for
years due to my meds.

I more honest with her than any person I've ever dealt with in my life. After all my future life is sort of in her hands

I even asked her over the phone about the manboobs that have become noticeable on recent years. She says those will diminish with weight loss.

Sorry to be so long winded but an anonymous place to Express my sincere thoughts about being so fat is therapeutic to me.

My former PCP provider had no problems about writing me a script for Viagra on request

Unfortunately insurance didn't cover it and it was like $1,000
My Nephroligist's approach of changing meds to achieve more proper erection ability is way better !

I would like to to have sex again sometime soon, preferably with a bigger sized woman ?

I wish I hadn't added both vodka sevens and Phentermine to my diet at the same time, makes it hard to evaluate results ?

However my finances are correlated and funds for both came together concurrently

I am an alcoholic but often quit for months at a time, even of I've got money

I am obsesseve/ compulsive about tracking my weight/ blood pressure/ various waist-belly measurements.

I always gain like 10-15 lbs and a lot of inches if I drink for a few weeks then quit, then the weight drops back to previous numbers.

So ,I documentation this stuff well

I do weight , blood pressure, waist at the navel standing and seated, at the navel standing and sucked in as much as I can, the below the navel in the FUPA area both seated and standing, occasionally check thighs, etc.

To be fair about evaluating the Phentermine, I should quit drinking alcohol while on it. I don't want to do that this time of year, could really see taking a few months sober in a few weeks.

Okay , I have devised a plan.

I am an alcoholic first of all, that is how I got do damn obese and flabby I'm the first place, 35 years of drinking beer , then vodka does that to a guy.

I am also a bulk buyer so I buy a case (6) bottles of my cheap Dubra vodka in the Allie sized 1.75 liter bottles for like $ 12 a bottle and dozens of 2 liter bottles of 7-up to mix the cheap vodka with, keeps me buzzed a long, long time !

Okay I have 3+ bottles left. I will consume that stash in probably less than 10 days as I kill them like a champ

Nothing to do with dates like new year's.
If I kill the Dubra by 12/22 for example so be it, and I'll then quit liquor for the rest pfu time on the Phentermine..
That would be perfect, I can honestly tell my nephroligist that I will go on the wagon for 3 months or even more to evaluate the phentramine.

I have no desire to permanently quit drinking, but I'll do some sober time

Losing weight is 80% diet, 20% exercise, so you can still lose weight even if you get very little exercise.

There are two types of weight loss pills: The pills that don't work, and the pills that have dangerous side effects (maybe the benefit outweighs the risk, so your doctor is the only one who can make that decision).

There's only one method of weight loss that has been proven to work AND has no dangerous side effects: Eating a healthy and balanced diet. What types of foods do you eat?

It sounds like drinking is your main problem. Alcohol has a lot of calories and will interfere with your weight loss, so if you cut down on alcohol, you'll probably lose weight.

Basically, you are on a path to self-destruction and self-hating and you want to chronicle it here. The bottom will either be something you can crawl out and create a new life of or death. Your choice. You are a grown man. Got to AA get to FA or over-eaters anonymous and change your life. If you are not willing to it is not worth engaging in your game.
