Default Question

Hi everyone
I have been counting calories (using 1200 a day) plus been exercising 4 times a week in the gym doing bike, dumbells, skipping, weight machines, punch bag and using ball with trampoline and using weight ball (picking up and throwing to the floor) gym usually lasts 30-40 mins. We have lean definition protein shake after each workout.
I've been doing this since march and have only lost 9lb and have lost inch or two on body. (Didn't start measuring till end April) However we weigh once a fortnight and every other weigh in we don't lose anything?
Can anyone offer advice as to what I might be doing wrong?

Hi there,
I don't really know, but I saw no one replied yet, so wanted to write something.

Do you weigh enough that you have enough weight to loose? If not, that'd be one reason 1200 is pretty low for most people, although I've read that for people who are very short, it might not be low. Are you very tall?

Do you think you could be gaining muscle instead of loosing weight?

Do you count the calories in the protein shake? Do you think you're counting the calories accurately?

Well, some random questions and possibilities. Good luck with it.

I agree with you. There could be a lot of muscle building and protein is a main factor in muscle growth. There could be a trade off going on that's causing a plateau but it should only be temporary until you metabolism catches up.

What are you eating? How intense is your exercise? Are you able to get a metabolic panel and insulin resistance done? What is your current bmi? There are so many factors that could be explored.
