I've been off from work and will be off for a couple more weeks. I hope to get under 150 before returning. I know it will be harder once I get back to the office! Need to figure out a plan to keep momentum going when I go back as my office can be so draining.

Nutshell: YES. After stalling for so long in the high 158s, I've skipped the 157s and dropped all the way to 156! Granted, it's 156.9, but it's still 156! Hooray!
More Detail: If you remember my last post, I mentioned that I'd stalled and thought the pancakes I'd been eating, with their extra carbs, might be to blame. I knew I was just retaining water, since my measurements went down and I got to switch from my size 10 pants to my size 8s this week (), even though the scale wasn't moving. I was getting tired of holding onto the water, since it had been about 3 weeks since I'd seen any real progress. So, once I ran out of pancakes, I decided to do a low-carb experiment. I'm not planning on doing low-carb forever, just until the tortillas I bought to replace sandwich bread lasts. So far, it's working beautifully, and my body is flushing out water like no one's business! This is what I like to see!
happynottsgirl, good luck! You are so close to getting under 150! And having a couple of weeks to drop a pound and a half? Psh, you got this, girl!
Woo yeah, 155.0 exactly! That's the perfect halfway point through this decade! I'm on the countdown to my goal weight!! In 5... 4... 3...
Looking in the mirror and evaluating how I'm feeling and such, I'm thinking I want to maintain in the 145-150 range. Once I get there, I'd then like to step up my ab workouts and see if I can't turn the small amount of remaining belly fat I have into muscle. I can already see a shadow of where my abs are, so here's hoping with a little work, I can bring them to the forefront, so to speak.
I'm kind of talking to myself at this point, but I came in this morning at 154.4! Man, but I love these whooshes. I worked for three weeks with decreasing measurements and no progress on the scale, and now all that water weight is finally falling off!
I'm here! I can't remember to post or come on here that often because of being so busy at work and studying for the CPA, but I am still here! I am at 156 these days...it's slow going but at least it's going!
Okay! I had another stall there (partially pre-TOM water, partially my own fault because I was in a baking mood), but now I'm down to 152.4! That means I've officially lost 50.3 pounds! Super excited!!
well, after two last weekends on holiday (and coming one will have a class) I have not kept track and haven't been near a scale. Hopefully the damage is not so much, but I'm certainly not at 150.8 anymore!
Will start tracking my calories again on Monday after weekend class (or perhaps will try tomorrow). Important thing is not to give up!
Welcome back to the thread, happynottsgirl! (it's been lonely here. ._.) Absolutely! Not giving up is the most important part! Even if having a couple weekends on vacation made your scale numbers suffer, it won't be by that much, and it shouldn't be that hard to lose it again. The important thing is that you had fun on your vacation without stressing the whole time about your weight. Now the important thing is to keep on going and not give up!
I'm in a good mood today! I just hit what was originally my ultimate goal of 150 pounds!! Cue confetti! I'm going to keep pushing for 5 more pounds and try to get myself to 145, but still! Hooray and huzzah, I weigh 150 pounds!
So yesterday, I just barely got into my original ultimate goal weight at 150.9. The last couple pounds were a long battle with a cycle-related water retention plateau, which I've been dealing with for the last two weeks or so. (I have some pretty intense water retention every month, and it sucks.) I had going to Baskin Robbins planned as a reward, so off I went. I also went ahead and splurged by having lunch at McDonald's as well. Since I was having such a big lunch, I intentionally had a very small breakfast and dinner. I also drank about 1.5x the normal amount of water in an attempt to counteract the sodium a little, and I exercised the usual amount of time.
I went to bed expecting to see a small uptick, from the salt if nothing else. Instead, I have dived all the way from 150.9 to 148.4.
I mean, this isn't the first time I've seen this phenomenon of eating something a little (*cough*) on the fattening side after spending a couple weeks retaining water, and then having that trigger my body to finally release that water in several days of very satisfying whooshes. But oh my word, that's a difference of two and a half pounds in a single day! I can't believe it!
Sorry to take up your time telling my story, but I am now officially exiting this thread, now being at 148 () and all. Since my goal weight is only halfway through the 140s, I'm not going over to that thread, but best of luck to everyone here! You've got this!
hi! so busy I can barely breathe...took the BEC portion of the CPA exam yesterday and I can relax for a few days before I start studying for AUD (audit). Vegas on Tuesday!
I've been weighing at 156 mostly...saw 155 for a second. 157 this morning but it's water from eating mexican food out and cocktails. Need to drop it by Tuesday so bathing suit looks good
Everyone have a great 4th! It's our anniversary, number 11. Spending it where we got married of course!
