Sugar and salt cravings are the worse ... I can never satisfy them and when I attempt to I ALWAYS over indulge :( :congrat: to ALL of you that are moving over to the next decade. My low was 166.9 on January 14th and after that the scale just kept going up and up :( Yesterday was 169.9, today 169.1 ... hope to keep it moving in this downward direction :crossed: |
I'm still hovering around 161.6 for almost a week now. Trying to remain positive and patient. 2 pounds away from 150s.

I always seem to bounce up and down when I hit a new decade, but I know it will finally stay after a few days eating well! 164.6 this morning. Definately need to jump on the recumbent bike. I think I ate more than one serving of peanuts! I went grocery shopping Saturday and the Rotary was selling them for a scholarship program. They are from Wakefield and good and fresh. Didn't realize how many I had eaten until too late. :devil: |

Had a bad day with the food intake today. I was hungry all day and made some poor choices including a binge session on some cookies and crackers in the break room at work. I was still hungry afterward!
Oh well it happens and it could have been a lot worse. But must get back on track tomorrow. |

K9, rachelinala, and love2b - sounds like you all need some quick grabbing healthy snacks to keep you from grabbing just anything when the munchies strike. Buy some carrots and celery, cut them into strips and have them in baggies to grab. I used to take sugar free pudding to work and a piece of fruit or fruit cups in fruit juice. Cheese sticks are really good, too. Measure out 1 oz dry roasted peanuts or count 20-30 of them in put them in snack size baggies.
I, also, read distraction away from the food you are craving works very well. Like if DH and I go out to eat and they bring a basket full of bread, I play games or read email on my cell phone until the meal comes. Weight was 164.2 this morning. Hoping to see 163.x tomorrow! |

Thanks Kat those are some great ideas :) I have a hard time distracting myself from food ... it stays in my head if I really want it :( You're good with the bread at the table. They'd have to totally not bring it to my table ;) Nice weigh in :high: Oh 171.4 for me today up by 2.8lbs, smh. Today has been a good day so far so hopefully the 170's will be gone tomorrow :crossed: |
Katiam: I totally do this. I even have food in my fridge for quick grab. It's a complete discipline issue.
Love2be: Read or games while food is in front of me--NOT HAPPENING! "Uhm waiter, please do not bring chips, bread, etc to me before the meal!" Otherwise, it will be consumed--ALL OF IT! :yikes: Oh, I forgot, add me to the "Gained in February" group. |
Krystal, I'm starting to wonder what in the world is going on in my head. The older I get the worse it gets with self discipline. And me too on the before meal stuff at the table :drool: I've got to pull it together :(

thanks guys. I was back to 161 this morning, so it must have been water weight (all the sodium I binged on!).
Back on track today. Someone at work had some healthy crisps and I had a couple of those, definitely need to start bringing small snacks for work! |
