I was starving this morning for some unknown reason so I was thinking I'll have a higher calorie day today. I switched to eating more around 1450 calories a couple weeks ago (maybe 2); I was eating around 1650 average before I think. Definitely helps with my lower TDEE from losing weight, but I think I need to throw in a higher calorie day every 7-10 days just to stay feeling sane and full. I'm not sure how high my calorie burn for the day will be, but I plan to eat maybe 1600-1800 calories today. I'm committed to not burning out, so I guess I'm still at like maybe an 8/10 for the day, because I know I need to have a mini break from a larger deficit (1800 should still be at least -200 cal deficit!).

PrairieQueen, that diner sounds fun! You'll have to let us know if it's as good as it used to be! And you are amazing in the garden and the kitchen, girlie! :cp:

Ladyfat, I think having a higher carb day every 7-10 days is an excellent way to keep from feeling burnt out while continuing to keep your calories low enough overall! :carrot:

I am continuing to be a 10/10 on eating but I am having to make myself exercise. I want to get back to the gym but I'm not at home for the next few days, so it will have to wait. :exercise:

PrairieQueen 10-07-2015 08:40 AM

I'm a 10/10 today even though TOM is right around the corner. We didn't go to the diner, but to our usual spot last night. We decided we would do the diner on the weekend for a breakfast or lunch for our first go.

I've not been formally exercising (the hula is still waiting on me), but I have been out in the garden almost every night and running around the kitchen preserving in one way or another. Last night I dried more cayenne peppers and basil and made up a double batch of Cinci chili to divvie up for the freezer tonight. I'll do the same tonight with tomato soup.

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Jacqui_D 10-07-2015 11:15 AM

PrairieQueen, oh there's no doubt you are getting plenty of exercise in that garden of yours.

I am a 10/10 today. :sunny:

PrairieQueen 10-09-2015 08:57 AM

I'm a 10/10 today....a little headachy but no cravings or ravenous hunger pangs. My visitor will be arriving before dinner, I'm sure. We may hit the diner tonight; hubs isn't sure he wants to give up his Friday night pizza for it :) Lots of outside activities around our place for Saturday, visiting a friend 2.5 hours away in KY on Sunday. I have a personal day on Monday to try and get caught up with cleaning, etc.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Jacqui_D 10-09-2015 08:52 PM

PrairieQueen, despite TOM, I hope you have a great and fun (LONG, yay) weekend! :carrot:

I had a good day today. Tomorrow is Carb Day, and I'm looking forward to it! :dancer:

Jacqui_D 10-10-2015 11:42 PM

Today I was a 10/10, but oh my, I really got carried away with sweets for Carb Day! I hope I recover easily enough tomorrow! :crossed:

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! :sunny:

PrairieQueen 10-11-2015 07:21 PM

I had not really thought about staying on plan today as we were traveling and "taking care of business" but what a long day. We're back from KY and everything went as planned. I made sausage rolls for the trip last night. (Hubs is English and has been moaning that I don't Love him or I'd make them.) you eat them cold, so in the cooler they went. I had one for breakfast with a Coke Life and two for my lunch. (1/4 lb of meat for every three rolls total surrounded by puff pastry.) I also had a Butterfinger. For dinner, we're having meatball hoagies (had meatballs and sauce in freezer) with Parmesan/dubliner cheese.....and a beer. I needed one.

Update: I just had some leftover apple crisp from yesterday :)

PrairieQueen 10-12-2015 07:53 AM

It's a 10/10 day! Up at 6 am even though I have a personal day....doggies didn't get the memo. Been on FB and doing "nothing" for a change. Putting a roast in the slow cooker for dinner and lots of cleaning and little inside jobs today, so I'll get some exercise after either sitting in the truck or in a chair "visiting" all day yesterday.

Jacqui_D 10-12-2015 09:06 PM

PrairieQueen, lol on hubs using that guilt tactic! Oh my, a roast in the slow cooker sounds so good! I have so many slow cookers at home, and none here at my Dad's in TN. I thought for sure they'd have one, but no. I'd love to put a roast on for my Dad, but oh well, next time I'll know to bring one with me!

Today, I have been a 10/10!

Today, I have been a 10/10!

I actually did mine Mexican-style, so I could cut it into pieces for fajitas. I still have loads of peppers ripening every day. Although, we're supposed to have a frost Sunday morning, so I'll have to go out and pick everything that's left except the sprouts. Potatoes are still good in the ground for awhile.

I'm a 10/10 today. Can't wait to get into the 150s....it's a little mini-goal of mine. I was at 152 when I met hubs in London 9+ years ago. I blame him for the weight gain :D

Jacqui_D 10-13-2015 07:25 PM

Oh yum!!! That sounds so fantastic! :hungry: Yay, you're getting closer to the 150's every day! I bet it is exciting! :cp:

I've been a 10/10 today also! :carrot:

PrairieQueen 10-14-2015 09:35 AM

Happy Hump Day everyone!

I'm a 10/10 today! I'm finally going back down after my "visit" and other things (it's always something, I know)...161.0 this morn.

Jacqui_D 10-14-2015 06:50 PM

PrairieQueen, congrats on taking one step closer to a new decade! :flow2:

I've done well today! I head home in the morning, so my concern for tomorrow is exercise. I've set a goal to exercise every day this month so I can't skip it, yet I'm afraid I'll be too tired after a 6-hour car drive. I may have to get up early tomorrow and do a little something before I leave. :exercise:

Have a safe journey! Ah, exercise....you can do it. If you don't do it before the trip, you prob will not want to do it when you get home. I know I wouldn't.

PrairieQueen 10-16-2015 07:53 AM

I'm a 10/10 today! I've finally hit the 150s :)

Jacqui_D 10-16-2015 10:34 PM

Yay, PrairieQueen! Perseverance pays off! :bravo:

PrairieQueen 10-17-2015 07:41 AM

I'm a 10/10 today.....lots of things to do today to keep me busy and away from the snacks :)

Jacqui_D 10-18-2015 11:50 AM

I'm a 10/10 today. despite having a terrible headache. I do hope it's not a migraine coming on. It hurts pretty badly, but I have lots to do today, so I don't have time for it, lol! :stars:

PrairieQueen 10-18-2015 03:08 PM

I'm a 9/10 on eating today. I started off with pumpkin French toast (but just one piece) and real maple syrup. Then for lunch I made "pizza" burgers. And I've already sucked down two Cole Life's at 90 Calories a pop. I plan on making creamy Cajun pasta chicken to use up some of the peppers and eggplant I had to pick before the first frost this weekend (and I don't really care for the eggplant.....thought I might like this European variety).

However, I am a 10/10 for exercise. I've already got the wood insert cleaned up and got a fire going and dug a gazillion potatoes. I plan on going back out in a bit and getting some sprouts for hubs. He loves them, I not so much.

This is totally off topic, but is contributing to my good mood and motivation this weekend.....But, I've got a kitty on my mind, so I'm happy happy. My friend has agreed to take three unwanted kittens from her boss (why the mother is not spayed is beyond me) when they're weaned....next weekend probably. Hubs always says "one out, then one in. Four is the limit." Well, of course he says, no, but I ask friend I may take one on trial basis to see how my cats deal with it. Then last night he says we should name the cat that we're not getting, Paris. And today he has made another comment as to the sleeping arrangements for a new kitty. So, fingers crossed :)

Jacqui_D 10-18-2015 07:36 PM

Awww, PrairieQueen, that's wonderful news! Yep, that kitty is yours for sure! :cp: There's an unspoken rule in our house: Feed it, name it, bring it inside, it's ours! That's why DH is always saying, "Don't feed that cat...don't name that cat...don't bring it inside!" I get some of my best cats that way, lol!

Jacqui_D 10-19-2015 09:35 PM

I've been a 10/10 today! :carrot:

PrairieQueen 10-27-2015 09:22 PM

I was a true 10/10 today even though it was pub night :)

PrairieQueen 10-29-2015 09:35 AM

I'm pumped today.....finally dropping (0.2 yesterday and 0.6 this morning). I am definitely a 10/10 today! I know I will not reach my goal for October, but I'm just happy that the scale is moving down again. Tomorrow's FRIDAY :) :) :)

PrairieQueen 10-31-2015 02:26 PM

I'm a 10/10 today. Went to an auction but left...nothing I was too keen about. I then went to the outlets close by for some new clothes. My young hair stylist had told me point blank I needed to get some clothes that fit this past Thursday, so I did :)

Watercolor 10-31-2015 03:33 PM

That's awesome, PQ!!!
I'm a 10/10 today, but still sugar-lagged (think jet-lagged) from an all out assault on a bag of jellybeans. Coupla days of no sugar and I'll be back in the driver's seat!

PrairieQueen 11-01-2015 09:17 AM

WC sugar does that to me as well! I never realized it until I stopped having it on a regular basis.

I'm a 9/10 today for eating. I've already had a somewhat calorie-rich breakfast but I didn't stuff myself. I plan on doing some housework today and would love to go outside and dig more potatoes but it rained. I can still go out and get the rest of the sprouts I guess.

My weight us up 1.2 lbs from yesterday, but TOM is due in 2-4 days so I'm not too bothered (but still hate it).
