Default One Month

I have lost weight a few times but it was always because of some emotional trauma I was going through. I wouldn't be able to eat much and, of course, the weight would fall off. Then once I recovered and I was "happy" again I'd eat in my "normal" fashion and just get fat all over again.

I've been with my fiance for three years. We've both gained 60 pounds in that time. There is no judgement, we love each other very much and have a really good relationship. I'm happier than I've ever been on my life.

We've talked about losing weight but we didn't really put any effort into it until a couple we knew started losing weight together. We saw their progress and how they supported each other and we were inspired.

July 1st we started tracking our weight. For me I have been working to staying at 1400 calories a day and he's cut out binging on junk food and been making healthier meals for us. This is my first REAL attempt to lose weight. The first time I've had to work at it.

I have lost 11 pounds and he has lost 13.5 (He is 6ft 3inches and started at 335lbs). We've had some ups and downs over the month but we've gotten back on track when we got off.

I hope I will be able to report more progress next month

Congrats! Thats a significant loss! Keep it up!

I just started dieting this month too. I'm down 10.5 lbs. Lets both work toward another 10-11lb weight loss for August!

Congrats! It's so supporting when you have a partner. My hubby has lost weight along with me, but he didn't know it. It is because I am cooking healthier and he is benefiting from it. He is one that will eat anything I cook and not complain. I am lucky he loves salads like I do. That helped alot.

Good for you! Having a supportive partner is great but having similar goals is even more motivating. Congrats!

That's great! My FI and I are losing weight (although differently) for our wedding. I find it is much easier when you have a supportive partner that isn't trying to sabotage your efforts by bringing junk into the house.
