I searched through 20 pages of this forum, and even though I found threads for the 200's, 170s, 160s, 150s...no 180s.
So I hope it's ok that I place this here.
I am 180.0 as of this morning, so I may or may not be in this thread for long but I tell you what...the 180s have been a really stinker for me! I've been longing to move to the next "decade" for quite some time.
I'm in the 180's. Ironically, that was where I was starting from way back... the start point this time was 209. I'm actually feeling and looking decent in the 180's, so my current goal is to get down to that 180 mark and flux around it for a while (I fluctuate quite a bit up and down in a 5 pound range usually) and then try to lose more from there. So far, I've been under that 190 mark and doing great with it, so I'll take it...
Started at 188 I'm now down to 182. I have been working out daily since January. I didn't change my eating yet because I eat well. My problem is over eating once the kids are in bed ( I eat good stuff but it all adds up ). So as of today, I've decided to commit to no more eating after 7. I've done it before I know I can lose all that weight . I went from 190 to 160 ! So cheers to me for doing it all over again. Haha
Hi
I was last here in October 2014 when i was trying to get out of the 170's. Now trying to get out of the 180's so i have had some challenges with directions
Welcome back LG! Your comment about directions made me chuckle. I think we've all been there. I wish I could say this was my first trip on this forum. But I initially joined before I got pregnant. And now I have a 4 1/2 year old if that tells you anything. Better late than never. :P
I only *just* started losing weight after a lengthy period of binge eating and gaining up to the 190s. My "high weight" (inflated by sodium bloat caused by bingeing on high salt things for days, I'm sure) was 194.4, and I'm down to 188.4 today (about 9 days later). So the initial water weight drop has probably gone (simply by not being bloated and soddened with salt every day from eating an entire pizza!) and now I have to expect the more modest drops of 1-2 lbs per week… so I am looking at a couple weeks in the 180s! I think I can reclaim my face and stop my thighs giving me chub rub in dresses by the 160s, so the 180s and 170s are the most torturous parts. I also don't think I can risk running on my knees until the 170s, so… I am REALLY ready to get out of the 180s!
Part of me hopes it'll be a bit faster to get out of the 180s… since you burn more when heavier… but oh well! Good luck to everyone else!
Don't count on the 180s being fast. And at the same time, don't get discouraged either. I've been stuck in the 180s for aaaaages. I've not misbehaved either. Sometimes your body just needs time to sort things out. So, maybe you'll be lucky and you'll zip on through. But if not, don't give up!
