I have gone through the same thing in the past- a big factor in this I think is weighing yourself too often- or at all! When we weigh ourselves, we tend to focus on the weight, right? So do not weigh yourself. Focus on the nutrients you are putting in your body, not the calories! And stay away from that scale! ;-)

What also helps is going slow is just more realistic. I had 4 lbs to lose this month. And i did it. I remember going to extreme measures to reach my goals before. I enjoyed food and life this month. 1800 calories with exercise is sustainable. Im not hungry, and i actually am able to focus on all aspects of my life.
