In regards to TOM: I have the bloat down to a science. I get TOM on Wednesdays and I bloat up like 7 lbs from Wednesday till Saturday. Its always gone by Sunday weigh in.

Bloat is the bane of my existence!

hi sensualappeal. good to meet you. I asked the same question when I joined. Whats TOM. As CoolMom said its "time of month" aka a woman's very special blessing.

Hi everyone else. I read what people wrote. But this is sort of a quick eheck in.

Have not been good at all re the diet for the last 5 days. I think I will get back to it on Wednesday at the latest. Maybe today ( tuesday). Neck shoulder back at 90% so thats great. My bloat is not TOM water weight. Its more like the cartoon that Coolmom put up. But I will get back to it very soon. I was working at it on and off until about 5 days ago. But have not been too strict since Dec 19th. Gotta get back to it.

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday. When I get back on the diet I will post. Probably tomorrow.

Nova - I am like you, I hold onto the extra water weight for a while.

Fluffy - Honestly, I'd give up the scale. It measures water more than anything. And yes infrequent bowel movements will cause the scale to go up but so will many, many things that aren't fat.

Fluffy/Diana - I work in IT so it is related to computer security. It is a large bump in pay and responsibility if I get it. But I have needed a change for a while.

I'm doing good despite the stress of my dog being a dog. We recently started giving her fish oil pills due to a recommendation by her physical therapist (I know, odd but she had knee surgery). I hate fish, the smell of fish, anything fishy, etc. Anyway, she loves them, she must get that from my husband because its not me. Anyway, left her alone for not long yesterday, she grabbed the bottle of fish oil off the table and ate about 100 pills. I called the vet, vet said she'd be fine but maybe diarrhea. No diarrhea but very oily poo. Her entire crate (where she took the bottle) smelled like fish. The living room smelled like fish. I was not pleased. My hubby spent the night with the dogs in case she needed to go to the bathroom but she was fine. And although she looked miserable last night, she seems fine this morning.

Anyway, today is a new day

B: not sure, not very hungry, just had a banana so far

Well, this is day 1 post TOM and the scale is still up. I'm going to have to assume by the end of this week that if it doesn't go down then I have gained back even more but trying to remain positive. I've been busting my @ss in the gym since December, lost during vacation in November, and haven't been eating bad at all. Now the scale says 146! I was irritated about 143p after holding at 138p for so long, now I want to tear my hair out. This better be sodium.

No, I'm not quitting but this is some BS. Love handles will not win this war!!

Game on.

NSV- MY SIZE 10 PANTS ARE LOOSE! YES YES YES! I will wash them and put them in the dryer to get a bit more use out of them but they are honestly falling down. This is good because I bought them at Christmas so maybe I am losing weight after all!

Tra la la laaaaaaa laaa la laaaaaaa

novangel- I'm sorry you're frustrated. That SUCKS! I've only been in the 140's twice for like a day each and then bounced right out- the 130's must be tricky too! I believe in you though!!!!

Hello all!

Novangel I used to always gain 2 lbs the day i started and was very regular, but now nothing is the same, sending good thoughts your way :

Fluffy and Shamac I loosely follow a 5:2 2 non consecutive fast days, my fast is usually veggie/fruit juice and/or veggies/fruit, we kind of let loose on the weekend and fast Sunday so I do have that gain/lose the same pounds over and over. Now I'm trying to lose another 10-15 so am being stricter with tracking my food/water/exercise, but I cannot severely restrict myself so the weight loss is very slow, but I'm ok with that trade off. I've been trying to eat some fermented stuff like sauerkraut and pickles, kefir for the probiotics, supposed to be good for the gut, and i eat more fish and less meat (beef, chicken and pork) and less bread than I ever have in my life.

Feeling good, so although i weigh every day my success is not based on the scale, it's how I feel and what I can do.

Best to all, more later

Diana I'm the one who gives Hunter a bath, so Sunday he got real muddy during our walk so DH put him in the tub, DH always says to him, i can't save you so Monday after our walk Hunter ran into his crate, I guess he was afraid he was going to get another bath...

Northernchick, that is a great NSV, I will so so happy when my current size is too big. As for now they are fitting very snug, so I figure I have a while to go.

Kelijpa, I also don't do well with restrictions, just makes me want whatever food that's being restricted even more.

B- coffee w/unsweetened choc almond milk and a tbls of heavy whipping cream
L- salad w/ ham, egg, and cheese and Cesar dressing made from yogurt.
D- will be burgers on the grill
Workout- was my am strenght class

Up 2.2lbs today to 174.6lbs.

For breakfast, I had sardines, smoked oysters and oats.

For lunch, I had salmon, mussels, squid, smoked oysters and some fish pate.

For exercise, I did 60 minutes boxing before work and ran 4 miles before lunch.

The dog stayed an extra night and gets picked up this evening. She's been home alone a long time. I hope she is OK.

hey, I posted earlier and it's disappeared! I'm so far behind so I'll just put up my menu for the day...

B - belvita
L - we had our annual audit lunch at a Brazilian churrascaria (sp?) where they bring out skewers of meat to choose from - I had chicken, ribs, lula kabobs, steak, lamb, etc..etc...etc... can't even guess at it! Plus veggies, brie on baguette, noodles

needless to say I got home early today and DH and I rode 21 miles. Burned off over 1100 calories, I wonder if that covers it?
