Yeah Collin is a hottie too!!!!

GEMonster 08-20-2003 05:08 PM

I'd take Pierce Brosnan, John Cusack, Jude Law a young Robert Plant or Mel Gibson. Not necessarily in that order.

Summerlover 08-20-2003 06:40 PM

Dips: My dad was stationed in Italy during WWII. He loved Florence. Anyway, congrats on your upcoming return to NY! :cb: What will you do for a living when you are out of the army?

Kempy: How do you feel about your man, Arnold, running for governor of California? :D

Tonya: Yes, Christina A. is pretty raunchy, but I do like her music...especially her song, "You Are Beautiful." And Colin Farrell, Yummy! :T

Angie: I'm sorry for your difficult goodbye with Cappie. Don't you feel guilty. You did what you had to do. He will find a new family to love him.

GEM: I agree with you about Mel and Jude, but I have a few to add to the list.

You see ladies, I have quite a long list. It is hard to pick just one or two:

George Clooney, Ben Affleck, Chris O'Donnell, Jerry O'Connell, Brad Pitt, Matthew McConahey (sp?), Kevin Costner, Dennis Quaid, and Matthew Perry. There are more, but I can't remember all of them off-hand. This list really shows you all how old I am! (38) I've had a crush on Kevin Costner since the movie "Bull Durham."

I know it is normal to lust over a member of the opposite sex, I just hate the way he makes me feel. I guess that is my problem. I'm so glad that you guys turned it around for me. I would much prefer to focus on the objects of my lusting!!!

I was at a friend's house for a play date. It was fun, but after I said, "No, thank you." to a chocolate ice cream cone, she made me one anyway and handed it to me. I didn't know what to do. I didn't want it...but I did want it. I ate it. I can't believe that I was so spineless. Does anyone know of a tactful way I could have handled this better?

Summer

TonyaS 08-20-2003 07:58 PM

I hate her!

Ciao Ladies,

Angie- Yes it will be weird being out of the Army. I'm the child, sister and neice of Army troops. The Army has been my life, but I love my fiance and I want to get married. LL Cool J is a giant piece of man candy!! I love him.

Tonya- You could give Christina a run for her money. I love her voice, though. The girl can sing. "beautiful" still brings tears to my eyes. Oh and Collin is hot! He has that bad boy appeal. I like it!

GEM- John Cusack?? I guess different strokes for different folks but your other choices are very good. I'd give Mel Gibson a go ;)

Summer- So your dad's a vet , huh. Mine too! We're both Army brats :) My oh my you have a lot of men to choose from. I'm with you on Matthew (M), Brad Pitt, Kevin Costner and Dennis Quaid (back in the day) But I think Ben Affleck, George Clooney and Matt Perry are way overrated...Just like Ashton Kutcher...doesn't do it for me. Enrique Iglesias is one I'd like to add to my list, OOOHHH BABY :flame:

By the way, Before we all get jealous over Shania Twain, just look at her husband eeeeewww

Kempy - Speaking of eeeewwww. I'm sorry but I just can't get with Arnold anymore. I thought he was hot in Commando but that was too many years ago to mention. He's looking kinda old now. But I feel you on the whole body builder thing. I love muscular men myself and with all the muscle you're flexin' these days you need a man with strenght ;)

Later Girls.

angieME 08-21-2003 07:59 AM

Good morning. I just took Candi for a walk and let me tell you something, If you ever want to get a dog to walk with for exercise DONT get a Keeshond!!! She is the slowest laziest little dog I have ever seen. I didnt even get to do my full 3 miles because she looked like she was going to collapse......until we saw a squirrel and then she dragged me across someones lawn.

I wanted something good to eat last night and I have nothing in the fridge so I actually resorted to dumping some grated reduced fat cheddar cheese into a bowl and scooping it out with crackers. It was good though.

We got a new account this week and man oh man isnt it busy now. This girl ordered 200 donuts the other day and then says oh Friday will be a big order!!YIKES!!! I am scared!!! We have been busting our butts but it is an extra $600 a week. Hopefully it stays like that until fall. I still havent paid my property taxes. I hate those.

Jay took having to give Cappie up hard. He said he was teary eyed all the way there trying to figure out how we could just keep him and then he was all teary eyed as he was leaving. We both feel so bad it is sick.

Well, I should go bake some cakes and get some extra out of the way for today. I'll check in later

Kempyd 08-21-2003 10:16 AM

Angie that is great that you got a new account. I was really hopeing that you could move down here but I guess you will have to stay up there and make all of those yummy treats for the poeple up there. I was just being selfish and wanted you to be closer so that we could hang out. I really don't know wht to tell you about Cappie. I know you tried really hard to help him fit into your family and along the way you fell in love with him. I have never been in that sort of situation before so I really don't have any good words of wisdom.

Dips Arnold will be 70 and I will still love him. When we lived in Florida we had one of his bodybuilding posters on the side of our fridge and I just loved going to the kitchen. I don't mind older men. I mean his bod is still hot. If I lived in Calli I would vote for him.

Some friends of ours are from the same town in Texas as Mathew M. (don't know how to spell it either) What lucky people they are. I loved him in the Wedding Planner.

The goodness it is Thursday. All this week I have been waking up thinking it was Saturday and that I could sleep in but no such luck. Now I can't wait to get a little more sleep. Although, I doubt that will happen with this convention this weekend. Joe is like a little kid right now. He is so excited about it. He is going to be interviewing the President of Duck's Unlimited for a TV show down here.

How are the rest of you doing today?

TonyaS 08-21-2003 12:29 PM

Dips, you are too nice! :D

man Kempy I know what you mean, I cannot get up outta bed lately, I always want to sleep in so bad!

I am doin ok today, how bout the rest of ya ?

I am sitting here paying bills.. I swear payday should be called "transfer day" cause that's all it is for me :p

but I am out of checks, ack!

anyhow, have a good day you all!

melekalikimaka 08-21-2003 01:13 PM

It's "McConaughey" :T

GEMonster 08-21-2003 01:27 PM

Hi Ladies!

Forgive me for taking a while to actually write a decent size post. I have been lurking and reading but not writing. Work has gotten crazzzzy...but as my boss says (who is a family friend) it keeps my *** out of trouble ;) I need that alot! :o

Just to continue the fine discussion on male celebrities for a brief moment - most by far are fine choices but I would be remiss if I neglected to say Johnnie Depp! :faint: make me swoon... :flame:

Okay sorry I've collected myself again...Anyways I am on the South Beach Diet and love it! I am at 145 and was at 154 when I started so that means I have reached goal for the month!!! :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: Not only do I love it because of that but I am not hungry or feeling deprived. I need to kick start my exercise regimen into something more...me. I walk the dog I just want to do something I adore so my husband said he is going to teach me to play tennis. I should sell tickets to these lessons as a comedy event  because that is what it will be!

ANgie I am sorry to hear about Cappie. Keep yourself busy but know you did the right thing so the right family will be happy. You would feel just as guilty if he hurt meanie or any other pet...

Dips congrats on coming home! I know it will be hard to leave a life you know so well but what better reason! Your fiancee better know how lucky he is. Sorry about the new position though - I would be doing my own version of civil disobedience :s: but something tells me if I was in the army I'd be mostly in the brig or still doing pushups!

Kempy have fun at the convention! you might as well make the best of it since you have to go.:hat: I loved the pics by the way you looked great and looked like you were having a great time.

Summer don't let anyone make you feel like less of a goddess :queen: (because that is what you are!) don't give anyone permission to make you feel awful for having normal behavior - YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE MENU NOT TASTING OR BUYING! No remember you are a goddess and as my mom says "...and the finished sculpture has yet to be revealed" As for your friend you give the cone back and say "I am sorry I said no thanks...do you think the kids would like one?" or it will keep happening.

Noelle what a trip! I want to come! Hopefully I can fit into a suitcase by then!

Hello to everyone else Jelynn, Svelte, CG and Tonya.

TonyaS 08-21-2003 04:20 PM

mmm mathew McConaghey ( or however it's spelled) is cute too! :D

Gem, grats on the loss! :D

well I've got this thread, and another where I am getting asked my "secret", and I have thought about it.. and I don't really have one.. haha. So I decided I would try to put it out there as best I know it.

I do WW mostly, and fitday.com (calorie counter). I try to keep breakfast and lunch under 700 calories all together, and under 12 WWP. So for breakfast I always eat a bowl of cereal , like special K, honeycomb, honey nut cheerios, and skim milk. I am always in a hurry, so this is the best option for me. With skim milk, it's 3 WWP. I drink coffee like crazy, so I limit myself to 2 mugs, with a tblsp of fat free creamer in each cup. that adds another 2 WWP. I try to stay around 5-6 for breakfast. Lunch I keep at 6-8. That way I have around 7-10 WWP for the evening time, since that is my worst time for the urge to eat.

Like today, I had my cereal, only 1 cup of coffee with the tblsp of creamer for breakfast, then for lunch a lean cuisine, 2 slices of light wheat bread (40 cal per slice, 1 WWP for 2 slices), and I had a Weight Watchers smart one's fudge bar, 1WWP. So today, after lunch I am at 11 WWP for they day, and 690 calories, 11g fat , for the day.
This leaves me open for a good 500 calories tonight, which I can usually pull off unless I am going crazy for something really evil

This is what I have done from day 1, which was Aug. 21, 2002.

I have never been one to do the low carb thing, I would never ever survive, I could never eat cabbage soup for a week straight, I would end up driving myself so crazy I would binge so bad afterwards I would gain double the weight back.

This way, I can have things I like, and compromise here and there on other things, and still be satisfied with my results

I also speed walk or run on my treadmill 3 times a week for 30 minutes. if nothing else, it keeps my metabolism fueled. I recently tried "One a day" weight smart vitamins, I really think they help boost my metabolic rate too. Since I started, I have lost 5 pounds doing nothing different than I did before...

===

I also have some randon thoughts for the day

my first one is that I love being thin, but there is a drawback! I have discovered the evil shopper in myself, I can't help it! I see something I want, I try it on, and I can't not buy it

Today I went to Express, and I find this pair of pants that I cannot live without. They are $39.00 , and I got $5.00 off for applying for an express card. O, great, just what I need! man when that thing comes, someone grant me the wisdom to cut it up PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! I am out of control with this

I also wanted to add that my favorite lean cuisine at this point in time (it changes often) is the Chicken in Peanut Sauce. Yum! if you like the asian style cuisine one's , try this one! it's really good!

ok, got all that off my chest, I feel betta!

Have a lovely thursday ladies

ok so i don't have a lot of time these days but i do jump in every now and then to read these posts. see, so busy i can't even capitalize the proper letters  .... and i must admit that i do like the way mr mcconaughey looks but he's not my "major" ticket hottie. i've thought about it though, and can't come up with one right off the top of my head... i'll be back later.

GEM: Thanks for the wisdom!

Angie: I'm sorry that you and Jay are in so much pain. I really hope that once Cappie is placed, you guys will come to terms with it.

Hi Tonya, Kempy, Dips, Emily, Holly, and anyone else that is lurking.

This morning, my school secretary called and woke me up to ask me questions about my enrollment. I told her I'd be in tomorrow to finish setting up my classroom and would take care of everything then. Technically, I'm not required to work until Monday. Anyway, while I was in the shower, she called again all hysterical because the superintendent wants my numbers. Because she didn't ask nicely and had an attitude, I chose not to return the call. :nono: Ooh...shame on me! Feeling guilty, I decided to call before my first appointment of the day. But, we were running late, and I didn't get a chance to call. My dd had a hair appointment, dentist appointment, and I had an appointment for a mammogram. By the time we got home, the school was closed. Oh well, it looks like they all had to wait! They will all be pissed, but I'm not on the clock yet.

I hate mammograms. God, must it hurt so much? If men had to stick their penis' between a metal and hard plastic plate and have it smooshed down as flat as possible, male doctors would come up with a more humane and less painful way to test them. But since it is only women who must go through a mammogram, things will never change. There is an alternate method out there, but radiologists haven't gone out of their way to replace the old machines. Would you believe, my boobs are still sore? I have to have a mammogram annually because my sister had breast cancer at 28. I had a benign cyst at 19. Oh well, at least it is overwith.

Hope all are well. I'm gonna start getting super busy soon, so I will apologize ahead of time for not being as attentive. I will try to check in as often as I can.

Summer

Dips'n'twists 08-22-2003 02:24 AM

Ciao Ladies,

It's only 8:10 in the Morning and already I'm having a not so nice friday. I won't get into too many details but simply put, a soldier in the barracks I live in, told the Sergeant in charge that I've been neglecting my clean up duties, and that is just not true. The head sergeant came up to me as I was getting out of my car and had an additude so I have no choice but to call the accuser and cuss his *** out. {pardon my french but I don't play that sh*^}

I figured coming here and seeing how you all were doing would make me feel better.

Which brings me to GEM- You go girl! Great weight loss. I'm so happy for you!

Noelle- You are a bad bad BAD girl! But I got one for ya :flame: Benjamin Bratt :flame:

Angie- I too am at a loss for words about Cappie, but keep your head up...it will work out.

Summer- Yes mammograms are a pain, litterally, but just remeber the importance of getting checked out for Breast Cancer. I learned in the military that it's more serious than we all think.

Tonya- Good program! How wonderful of you to share with everyone. And just remember that you'ver earned those jeans so work it! Just remember to go easy on your budget. Don't trade one bad habit {food} for another {shopping}

AND NOW FOR MY GOOD NEWS: despite all the drama of the morning I am happy to annouce my 4 pound weight loss for the month of August thus far. I'm still hoping to drop at least 2 more before the month is out.

I'm so glad I have you all to make me feel good on bad days!

chikitababe 08-22-2003 07:23 AM

Hey everyone!! I have been MIA for a few days, work has been crazy, and still no computer at home. However, last night we broke down and ordered a DELL that should arrive by August 27th, so, I'll be up and running again. We also ordered a copier/printer/scanner combo so I can post a pic. It really helps to put a face with a personality, know what I mean :)?

So, I about killed myself yesterday! I walked 6 miles, then my hubby comes home (kids were an MIL'S house overnight), and says, lets go to Buttermilk Falls State Park and hike. So, of course I wasn't going to miss the together time!! We hiked and hiked, the trail we walked was 2 miles, so 4 miles total. That made 10 miles yesterday, and boy was I beat. My right leg had had enough about 3/4 way walking downhill, and started to skake like crazy! My husband said, well, I guess you know your limit now. WHEW :faint:!

This morning I weighed myself. First step on scales was 151, then I checked again (always step on twice, not sure why), and it said 150.5. So....can I take the 150.5? If so, 1/2 pound to go and I will make this months challenge of 150!!

Dips,

Sorry you are having a rough morning! At least it's Friday.? Try to stay calm, call the soldier, and ask what he was thinking, and where he got his information from. Try to keep cool, you don't need to make the day any worse for yourself! Good job on the weight loss...keep it up!!

How are you Tonya, Angie, Summer, GEM, Noelle, Emily?? Hope you have a great Friday!!

Holly

Kempyd 08-22-2003 09:36 AM

Thats Gunther alright! :cb: :T He is just the hottest thing. Joe hates it when I point him out in the mags. He'll get over it. Like i have a snowballs chance.

Dips I am sure you are counting down the days after this morning. Good job on the weight loss though.

Tonya I can't wait to go buy new jeans. I have a jean problem. I love them!

Holly I wish we had a place to hike around here. Everything down here is so flat. Not much of a workout.

Angie any word about Cappie?

Thank goodness it is Friday. I am so ready to get out of here today. I really like my job but I don't want to even be near this place right now. I am sooooo ready to get done with school so that I can have a break from this place sometimes.Plus, the extra money coming in wont be to bad either.

chikitababe 08-22-2003 09:40 AM

Kempy,

Hey! Sorry I forgot to say hey to you!! We have too many hills around here! It is difficult to find anywhere flat to walk. It gets a little hard on the knees after a while. Funny thing is I grew up 25 miles from where I live now, and it is almost completely flat!!

Holly

TonyaS 08-22-2003 11:42 AM

all I got to say is TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

and Kempy, I have a jeans fettish too, always have. But now it's more than that. Shoes, little shirts, and the pants I bought yesterday I never thought in a million years I would look good in... but I do! I shock myself! they are those tight black kind with no pockets at all, just beltloops, low rise, flared... I wore them today, and I dont' even feel self conscious. that's like the apocalypse :p

we have tons of places around here to hike.. this city is surrounded by mountains :) but I never find time!

have a good day girls!

chikitababe 08-22-2003 12:09 PM

I can remember when I was 18 and weighed 133, I LOVED jeans, I had lavender jeans, salmon jeans, blue jeans, black jeans...I must have had 10 pair, LOL. Now, I refuse to buy jeans because of how I think they look on me. I was complaining to my husband last night that I am lumpy...I am thin through the shoulders to my waist, then from below my belly button through my hips, I feel HUGE! He was so funny though, he was laying on the bed, and I was half on/half off the bed, with my head on his stomach when I was talking to him. He said "now, Holly, you know that thing you are laying on, that's a fat gut, you have nothing to worry about. He is such a great guy in some ways. Everyone has their faults though...even personality wise. If...no, WHEN I make it to 145 pounds, maybe I should buy a pair of jeans as a reward to myself. This weekend's challenge for me is to not have a cheat meal, etc. It seems like every time I have a cheat meal, snack, etc, I am up 2 pounds, then it takes me all of the next week to lose those same 2 pounds.

WHERE IS EVERYONE?

Holly

TonyaS 08-22-2003 02:16 PM

Holly, you would be surprised! At 150 I think I was size 10, which is AWESOME! there are lots of cute jeans, I remember getting some, I had no idea I would take the weight loss thing as far as I have at that point, because I had to give them away, and they were really cute pants! I bet you would look sexay! :D

Summerlover 08-22-2003 03:26 PM

Hello all, I don't have much time. But I wanted to reply about the topic of jeans. The last time I wore a normal pair of jeans, you know, the kind with a zipper and a snap, was about 13 years ago. I remember back in 1986, when I was as thin as I should be. I wore Guess jeans. Now all I can wear are those spandex, elastic waste jeans. Regular jeans are a loooooooong way away for me. :(

Summer

angieME 08-22-2003 05:48 PM

Finally, a chance to post. I have been working all day. I hate fridays!!

I just emailed the shelter to ask if he has been adopted yet and to tell them they can give my name and number to his new family if they want to so I can answer any questions they may have about him. I felt so guilty last night. I hate this feeling.

We are heading to New Hampshire to go to Storyland tomorrow and spend the night there. It is more for me and Jay then the kids. haha. I love Storyland it makes me feel like a kid again. I am 100% sure I wont end up eating right but then again I guess I havent been lately anyway.

Dips, CONGRATULATIONS on your weightloss!!! You are doing so great!! Sorry about the *** trying to get you in trouble. I hate people like that.

AAHH JEANS!!! When I was 16 I weighed 128 pounds and I had a pair of pink leopard stripe stretchy jeans. I loved those so much back then. I looked hot in them ... or at least I thought I did at the time. HAHA I threw them away 4 years ago when we moved because I figured I would never lose my weight and be able to wear them again. Go Figure.

Dips'n'twists 08-23-2003 05:14 AM

Ciao Ladies,

I'm feeling musch better now that it's saturday. I went to a club last night and couldn't help but notice that 50% of the female population was thinner than me. Nothing kills a weight loss celebration like coming face to face with skinny brads that make you feel fat again. I still had a good time though.

My fiance bought a car and he's really excited about it. It's a nice car but I really wish he would've waited before adding so much money to our monthly expenses. Men and their toys!

Angie- Have fun at storyland! It sounds like a cool place from what I've heard. All this talk about jeans, I have about 30 pairs but these are jeans I've accumulated over the last couple of years. I don't throw anything away. My J-Lo jeans are fitting loose. I should feel happy, right. Well those jeans cost me 51 bucks, and I just bought them a couple of months ago.

I have some errands to make but I will be back later to properly report to every one.

Later

Hi guys! You all are so great here. (I'm new) You guys really give me inspiration. Tonya you are so pretty and thin. Right now I am at 158 or so and would like to get down to 125-130. I gained like 30lbs in 2 1/2 years. I remember being at that weight and everyone was so much nicer to me. It felt so good to be skinny!! Well hopefully I will get there. Thanks again
Julie

jelynn 08-23-2003 03:57 PM

Hey everyone! Welcome Julie!
We are back after 2 weeks of holidaying off and on...I'm wasted :) The house looks like a tornado hit and I'm trying to get caught up. BUT I needed a break and wanted to say hi to you guys.
Ah jeans...anyone remember Lawman jeans? James jeans (I had the hot pink-lol) Yeah, that was back when I was 130ish...I actually do have a pair of Gap jeans (mens, but still...) I like myself in at 175...
I'm trying to think of my favorite hottie and actually having a hard time- am I getting old??? I always loved Tom Cruise, but lately he isn't doing it for me...

Well, I'm back and ready to be gung-ho again. I have so much to lose it's overwhelming, but I know that I will happier and just need to start being serious. My parents are leaving for China for a year(!!) in 2 weeks so my goal is to be 50 lbs (at least) thinner when I see them again!

Emily

chikitababe 08-25-2003 07:46 AM

Good Monday morning ladies!! How was everyone's weekend? Pretty good here. We took the kids to a picnic for my husband's work on Saturday. They had train rides, blow up rides, and a clown. My poor 3 year old was terrified of the clown! He ran screaming, waahh, he looks funny mommy, I don't like him. His older brother took him back to the clown a little later, and he was fine, I think it was just the initial shock, lol. I was able to beat the junk monster this weekend, WHEW...it was tough though. At the picnic they had an ice cream truck with soft serve chocolate and vanilla ice cream, all sorts of cookies, and BROWNIES...mmmm, but I kept myself away from the table, and was somehow able to not eat a bite of it!! After we left, I had a fat free frozen yogurt though, I had to tame my sweet tooth before I went on a chocolate frenzy! So, my Monday weigh in this week is 150.5. I so hope I can reach my August challenge of 150. I have 6 more days to lose .5 pounds, think I can do it? I am losing weight really slowly, but, it is coming off. I put on a pair of my size 12's this morning, and had to put on a belt cause they are too loose!

Emily,

Hi! Nope, don't know what lawman jeans are. I always liked Tom Cruise, but, he doesn't really do it for me anymore either!!

Julie,

Hi and welcome! This is a great group of ladies. You will get there, it just takes time, that's what I have to keep telling myself too! I started out here at 156, and am now at 150.5. Seems it's taking forever, but, at least no gain!

Dips,

Hey! I understand the feeling of everyone else being thinner than you, I do the same thing. When we went to the picnic on Saturday, my hubbys friend's wife was there, and she lost like 40 pounds from taking Hydroxycut. I think she has been taking it for over 6 months, and says on the bottle it said 12 weeks, but she feels fine. Even though I know she didn't lose the healthy way, she was very intimidating to me.

Angie,

Hey! I hope you have a great time at Storyland! I threw away some jeans after I had my daughter in 2001. I weighed 171 six weeks after having her, and figured they would never fit again. Oh well, I guess that gives us an excuse to buy new jeans!!

Summer,

Hi! Don't be so hard on yourself about the jeans. I have a friend who, in high school, never wore jeans because she didn't like how they looked or felt. She was quite skinny too! I could never figure it out! You can look sexy wearing clothes other than jeans!

Tonya,

Hey! I think I am almost into a size 10 again. The 12's I have are really loose, and I have to wear a belt. I guess I just don't want to buy jeans until I am happy with the way I look in them. I saved 1 pair of jeans from years ago that are a shrunken (from washing and drying so many times cause I LOVED them) size 9. I can button and zip them, but, they are snug. I don't like the way they look, but, my husband loves them, lol.

Hi to Kempy, GEM, Noelle...anyone I missed! Have a great day!

Good Morning Everyone!!

Welcome Julie!! I was MIA this weekend or I would have said hi sooner. These girls are great! I love them all. They help me so much!

Emily, I am ready to get serious too. I have blown another month and gained more weight. I think I will modify my goal now to just get through this week OP. I should be able to do that. My jeans that I was wearing in June are now to tight again so I guess that is my cue to get my *** in gear.

Holly, Way to go on meeting your goal for the month. You are AWESOME!!!! I need some of your willpower right now.

Today is my 13th wedding anniversary. I got chinese for supper last night because I knew today was ANOTHER fresh start for me.

Our trip to New Hampshire!!!!!! We went to Storyland and had fun but it was so busy we couldnt get near the food stands so we thought we would leave for a while and go to Conway to eat and come back later. Okay, They were having a strret fair and road construction all the way so a 7 mile trip took over a half an hour or longer. We got our food at Wendy's and headed back. The traffic was even worse on the way back so we were barely moving when it happened...... Wendy's hit Jay wrong and he HAD to go to the bathroom NOW. There was no place to pull over and we werent moving and he was turning green because he had to go so bad. I could see him eyeballing the side of the road and I said dont do it there isnt enough room to park there. There was no side streets or anything so we finally come to a motel parking lot so I said pull in here and do it. We pull in and he runs for the bathroom so I go sit on the couch and we see the owner peeking out the window. I run down and said hurry up I think the owner is going to come tell us to move. The owner comes out and walks around the RV and I open the window and say" Hi, we had to pull off the road for just a minute and we will be leaving in just a sec" figuring he would be like okay just as long as you dont plan on parking here too long. WRONG!!!! This guy then proceeds to scream at me and tell me to leave NOW and swearing so I said yeah whatever and shut the window. I run down to the bathroom and tell Jay that this guy is beligerrant(sp) and we need to leave now(poor guy:stress: ) So while this is happening the owner tries to open the RV door and come in (luckily it was locked) the kids are laughing there asses off by now and telling me everything the owner is doing outside. He couldnt get in and he starts to bang on the door and continues on his rampage threatening to call the cops and everything. Jay finally gets out of the bathroom and tells him we are leaving and we try to drive off and get back in behind the cars that we were behind anyway because traffick just wasnt moving. It was so unreal that we cant belive it actually happened. I am just glad we werent actually going to check in for the night at a place like that.

But all in all we had a great time and it really psyched me up for going to Florida in December.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! What a funny story Angie. Yesterday I went to a family reunion and there was food everywhere, about 10 different kind of bars and cookies! But I did not have one. I ate before I left so I would not be so hungry when I got there. But last night we made smores. Oh well its a new week. Does anyone have any tips on how to control this nasty pms cravings!?! Well have a good Monday everybody. Julie

Kempyd 08-25-2003 11:11 AM

Hi Julie! Glad you joined us. I am usually pretty busy over the weekends so I don't get here until Monday.

Angie how funny! It took me awhile to remember why you would have to stop, you don't drive. I couldn't understand why you would have to pull over if you were already in the RV. Poor Jay. All in all you had fun right? It is getting close to our one year mark here can you believe it?

Lets not talk about Jeans right now. Mine are not fitting to well. I tried to be good at the convention but I guess I wasn't as good as I should have been. Oh well, today is a new day and I am stocked up with good stuff so that I don't screw up. I start my 2nd 6 weeks today and I am ready. I took measurements this morning and did the body fat thing so I can reocrd the changes.

I ordered a scanner from Dell Friday so I should have it soon. I wanted to be able to scan in the pics from vacation. Of course I need to develope them first. I am so bad about that.

Good afternoon All! We're back from our Beach Vacation, and boy did we have fun! It was like being in college again. We went skinny dipping, drank mudslides late at night, ended up at the Karaoke one night, then another night at a night club, dancing the night away! It was the best vacation we've ever had. We had about 9 of us in the condo, and amazingly, didn't have a bathroom problem at all! We were on the beach a lot of hte time, and when you're on a beach vacation, you tend not to primp. So, it was great!

I did my best to eat right, and was in the waves with my boogie board every day. I think that was my biggest workout, not to mention wakling every other day at the boardwalk. We did splurge on some treats, but, again, amazingly, I didn't gain an ounce! I couldnt' believe it.

When i worked out yesterday for the first itme in over a week, man did I feel it. It was kicking my butt! One week away from the usual routine,a nd away from your normal eating habits, adn you're screwed.

But, overall, I am so glad we did it, and I can't wait to see hte pictures. I wore a bikini, and I am so proud that I did. It was a big monet for me. I'll share the pics if I look good. A camera makes you look different that you think you look, so we'll see.

Glad to be back, and I'll try to catch up on hte posts I missed. Hope you're all OP.

Christy

Dips'n'twists 08-26-2003 02:06 AM

Just saying a quick hello to all.

I'm very busy these days, I just finished my resume and cover letter and it's looking pretty good if I do say so myself. Hopefully by close of buisiness today I can send it out and land my dream job!

I'm applying to Lifetime Television. If I don't land this job I'm gonna cry :( But ofcourse I'll keep you all posted. But just to let you all know I am now at 144 pounds and i hope I can make it to the 130's some time soon. I'm gonna kick up my workout a notch to see if I can get better results.

Later for now ladies, wish me luck on all my endeavors

Hey! My scanner, copier, and printer from DELL came in yesterday. Still don't have the computer yet, but, it's on its way!! Now I have to figure out how to use the scanner. I have never used one before.

Dips,

Good luck with your endeavors! Lifetime TV, wow! I like to watch that station, but, my husband always complains if he's watching as well, lol. You can make it in the 130's!!

Angie,

Thank you VERY much for the encouragement. I know I shouldn't weigh myself daily, but, this morning I weighed in at 149.5! I don't want to jinx myself..but, it was great to see that 4! It has been so long, even though I am only .5 pound from 150. I am trying to look at it that I am 9.5 pounds away from my goal, and am not sure if I will try to go further. I have lower back problems, but, I am hoping that the walking is helping me rather than making things worse. I know you can get back on plan, you are so very close to your goal. Sometimes we have setbacks, and plateaus, but, in the long run, I think they make us stronger.

Happy belated wedding anniversary! Ours is September 4, but only 4 years. We have been together almost 6, but, married for 4.

Tonya,

I hear ya about Mondays! I don't like Wednesdays either, kind of a slump day, stuck right in the middle.

CG,

Hey! How have you been?

Christy,

Hi! Glad to hear you had a great vacation! I think I look different in pictures as well. I wonder if they add 10 pounds like the tv camera? Probably not, lol. I am not one for having my picture taken, but, since having kids, have tried to let people take more so the kids have them in the future.

Kempy,

Hey! What scanner did you order from DELL? We ordered the printer/scanner/copier combo. Try not to get frustrated. I was in a plateau for SO long, and thought I was never going to lose an ounce. I almost gave up. Somehow I kept on going and I am finally starting to lose, slow, but, sure.

Hello to Noelle, Julie, GEM, Summer....hope I didn't miss anyone!

Holly :)
