Hi Chicklets,
Faye: You look wonderful. Look how much you have lost since you started. You go girl and do your little happy dance!!! Bet you are having a blast with the "T" man today. I will be leaving work soon to go get my baby from camp, I am a little anxious can you tell? CG: I am 33 year old mom of 2....1b=11 and 1g=almost 6. I live in Maine and have been overweight since I hit puberty I swear!!! Please join in on the conversation often. Don't feel overwhelmed just do what you can. Julie: I keep forgetting to ask. Was Bangor having a state fair or what fair did you go to? I am not going to the Lobster Festiville, to crowded for this chicklet. But today I do have to go to Lincolnville to pick up the boy. Boy a seamstress to? You are one busy chick. I thought of you yesterday when I got our local paper, you may be able to call it up online.....The Lincoln County News. Anyway there was a man in there from Whitefield area I think? He makes armor....I just thought "wow thats wild, I know someone into that stuff" anyway it was an interesting article. Missy: Congrat's on moving the bar DOWN!!! Don't you love it when you can move it down a notch. I can't wait for my turn. You go girl.... Honeyrose: Hey there.... Satine: Congrats on the 2 lbs gone. You will get back to where you were!! Pam: I feel as though I am double talking with you cause we post on 2 threads together. Anyway, you are doing a wonderful job!!! Keep it up!!! Talk to you all later, Sandy |
Hello Ladies!!!
Tonya you are right this thread has gotten very busy, but I do love to read how everyone is doing. Just wish that I could respond to everyone. Well my points yesterday were great. Got my 2 for OP and 1 for water, none for exercise because it was my off day, but I can deal with that. Congrats to everyone on the pounds loast ya'll are really doing great. Hopefully I will be able to reports some here in a couple of weeks. But, as I have said earlier I just cannot weigh all the time, I get way to obsessed and I have found out that this is very bad for me. Well by boys will be home tonight and I can hardly wait. We have some last minute school shopping to do this weekend. And here in Texas they are having a tax free weekend that started today, so all clothing, shoes, and school supplies are tax free. I just love this weekend because we always get some great deals. So off to finish my day. I will be back later. Sarah PS.... CG..I am 27 and mother to the 2 best boys ages 7 and 6. I also have struggles with weight for a very long time. Welcome to this very wonderful group of ladies |
Hello All,
Guess what??? I bumped up my watp tape, and made it to the 1 1/2 mile mark!!!! I was getting a little bored with the 1mile walk, had been doing it for about a month or so....felt great to get a little more activity in, and I wasnt huffing and puffing like I thought I would be, I did the 1.5 miles then the cool down so the activity last approx 25 mins which is good for me!! I am loving it!!:spin: :strong: :jig: :cb:  sure beats sitting around in a "food induced stupor":dancer: crazy grace: about me--I am 43 years old, live in North Alabama 1 1/2 hours north of Birmingham and just 15 mins from the Tennessee state line, very near Huntsville. I love it here despite the heat and humidity. I am a Social Worker by trade, did that kind of wrk since graduating from High School---in 1978!!!! eons ago!:D graduated from College in 1985 and worked as Social Worker up until about 2.5 yrs ago, got burned out bad!!:( my heart is just not in it anymore. I currently work as a switchboard operator at a local answering service, plenty of :comp: for me. I enjoy the folks I work with, it is one of the better working environments I have been in, the $ is a lot less, but that is okay, I needed this break from all the:stress: of Social Services, right Peek:?: my all time dream is to own and operate a Country Inn Bed & Breakfast (somewhere in the South for sure, preferrably on the coast somewhere.) I love to write, I am working on a novel (have only 3 chapters, but it is a start right??), I am an avid reader, and also enjoy crafts, and needle work (cross stitch). We (my partner and I) also have a booth at a local antique mall, it pretty much takes care of itself, we go out there on the weekends to ck in, last month it paid for itself, so that is good, rent is very reasonable, right now we are getting ready for a big anniversary celebration with all the other folks that have booths there, at the end of this month, will have to do some getting ready for that. but I love antiquing, so that will not be a problem. I have no children, but 2 beautiful neices, 21 and 19! ENOUGH SAID....WELCOME TO OUR GROUP I AM THRILLED YOU ARE HERE!!;) Missy you are doing fabulous! Tonya, keep up the good work too!! Honeyrose: NOTHING WRONG WITH STAYING THE SAME!! STABILITY THAT IS GREAT!! YOU STAY :strong: GREAT PICTURE FAYE, YOU HAVE DONE SO WELL, I AM SO PROUD FOR YOU!! YOU ROCK GAL!!;) well off to eat lunch now, hunger pains, actual hunger pains, nice to feel them, in my other life I ate all the time, not to nourish this body, now, that is the only reason I want to eat, trying to keep those emotions in ck so I dont indulge, that is today's goal. later ckicklets!! |
Ok girls, I have a few minutes now :lol
Shauna! welcome girlie :D I am Tonya, 26, I have 2 kids, daughter is 6, my son is 3 1/2, I am married, my husband is 32. We have birthdays 3 days apart from eachother in December :) I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, and I hate saying what I do for a living.. but I manage a collection agency.. heh. Hey, someone's got to collect the money , right ? :p Anyhow, Faye, I love that picture of you. I dunno if you ever hear this, but you are one of those people that doesn't look even close to what the scale tells you... seriously. ( I mean this in a GOOD way!) :) And usually the camera adds pounds, so I bet in person you look even hotter lady! :D Hi Sandy, Sarah, and Pam, and anyone else I am missing! keep up the good work ladies! Since I have changed my goal, I might not be here as much with the point system for myself anyways, but I will always come cheer you on! :D |
WOW! Thank you, thank you for all the introductions...what a busy group of women you are...kids, jobs, sewing clothes :dizzy: very cool. I am looking forward to putting in my two cents (or two dollars when I am on a roll!) on this board.
Fabulous Lbs. down Friday...alrighty then! I don't weigh myself ever...only when I see my dr...and that in itself can send me spinning. BUT...I can say that this has been a good week. I fit easily into a size 10 pair of jeans this week that has been snug for WEEKS. I have been at this plateau for a while and I hope I am on my way down again. Been sticking to my eating plans and drinking water and only one soda the entire week :D Tomorrow I am turning 40 :sssh: and dh and I are going to the hollywood bowl for a concert, fireworks and some awesome picnic food. Going to the gym early so I will have more room to eat a little extra!! Faye...get the pedicure! They have those groovy massage chairs where I get my feet done and they are nice. Not to mention my toes always look so much nicer when someone else (with better vision than ME) does them :) I think it will be a nice way to give yourself a treat! Julie...I think its very sweet that you are sewing those clothes for your mom. Let us know how they turn out and how she likes them. p.s. fried cheesecake :?: yikes!! Carri...the quizno's sub I eat is the honey bourbon chicken. But if you are picky, beware...its kinda spicy. When I am sick of chicken, I eat the steak one, no cheese, take out some of the meat, eat it with the cooked mushrooms and onions. Let me know:) Everyone else...thanks again for the welcome. You seem like a fun (and crazy busy!) bunch. I am at work tonight until 9:30...the challenge (just like every Friday) is to stay AWAY from the pizza that they bring in for staff dinner on this late night. Got my snacks...last week was a bust  but I am hopeful tonight will be better! have a great weekend y'all!! cg p.s. I have no kids, no pets :( maybe someday... |
Hello Ladies!
Sounds like everyone had a really good day. I did also, but I need to vent for just a minute, I hopr nobody minds... But, like I said I have a really great BF, but he is also a little on the insecure side, and today it came out. I don't know if I have said but we also work together. Anyways he got his feelings hurt because he saw me and another girl taking to this guy that is interested in her and he though that he was flirting with me or mabye that I was flirting with him. Who really knows..but he would not even talk to me for a couple of hours and then he finally tells me that his feelings are hurt. I told him that I really love him and he has nothing to worry about. After all I have been with him for a year and a half almost. I guess my question is why do men act this way? Sorry for the gripe. I know that is only allowed on Wednesday, but this is really bugging me. Thanks girls...I will be back later Sarah |
Well it is finally quiet here! Thomas went home with his mom and dad after we got back from the fat food restaurant of all times called Hueys. So there ain't a gonna be no food points for me tomorrow!
Sarah: YOU GET A: :cp: for points yesterday. As for men, most of them are mamas boys and so wear their hearts on their sleeves in my estimation. My dh and I have been married almost 31 years and he still does some of the absolutely dopiest childish stuff I have ever seen. He has never been insecure about us though. To be honest, he will probably have to just mature out of it and if he doesn't I would say a permanent relationship with him is NOT a good idea no matter how much you love him because insecurity will evolve into jealousy and it only gets worse from there. My husband does a husband thing that drives me bananas and I just want to kill him and that is he doesn't listen to me. I have to say, Jack, did you just hear what I said to you? Or I get madder than a wet hen and yell at him! I hate that about him. It isn't that he is tuning me out because it is blah blah blah, it is worse in my opinion and that is that what I am saying is not important enough to listen to! :rollpin: :rollpin: Julie: YOU GET A: :grouphug: just for being with us today! Pam: YOU GET A: :bravo: for points and a  for pumping up the tape time! Boy you and I have a lot in common. I was a big time cross stitcher. In fact, if you come into my house you will see my handywork all over the house pretty much. I can't see to do fine stuff anymore so I had to quit and I read ALL the time. I love books and always have since I was a little kid. I could escape from my dysfunctional childhood into a book. Carri: Good for you girl on your weight loss. I knew it would start to come back off! Debbie: YOU GET A: :bravo: for points! Yahoo for you! Missy: YOU GET: :bravo: for Wednesday and :high: for yesterday. You are doing great! Tonya: Hope you get to feeling better soon. I am to the point in my womanhood that I pretty much have pms overload all the time because of being menopausal so I can certainly understand where you are coming from. [COLOR=blue]YOU GET A:/COLOR] :cp: for your points yesterday. Thank you so much for the lovely compliment. When I see my picture I think, Lord what a huge body you have still. Your own perspective is different I guess. I did go and look at my weight loss scrapbook tonight when I was decorating the page for August and seeing the beginning pic and now is pretty darn startling I guess. Miss Sandy: Hope the boy got home ok and all in one piece and you discovered what was troubling him. My little stinker wore me out by this evening, but he is at the age where he is so darn funny. We went over to the pool after we got back from going to lunch with granddad and he wears a swim vest so he can be in the pool without me holding him. Anyway, he was playing around and I was exercising and he has seen what my exercises were so he goes over to the steps and tells me he has a new trick that he exercises too and here he is all tangled up in the stairs flopping around. THEN, he wants to have a little fun so the little bugger hops onto my back when I am doing pullups on the stairs so it is like lifting and extra 50 lbs out of the water! It was fun though. I hope I did not miss anyone. If I did, yell at me tomorrow. I am way to pooped tonight! :) :) I have a sister who is 48 and has an 11 year old and a friend who is over 50 and has I think she is 11 too. I don't know how they do it! I could never have the stamina to do the kid thing again. I adore having T here, but he really wears me out. Tomorrow is Sunny Thoughts Saturday so think of something cheerful or funny to share. Faye;) (I changed my avatar because someone actually thought the picture I had as my avatar was someone else because they thought I looked so different ) |
SATURDAY: :sunny: Thoughts Saturday. GIve us a word of cheer or a laugh or two today to carry us through our rough spots.
Good EARLLLLLLY Morning, gals! I guess for today with all the fattening stuff I had yesterday that I only get a: :high: for water and exercise. I went to be late and here I am up even before he chickens but the cat makes my sleeping rules anymore so I have to get up until he says I can go back to bed! Let's see, I am going to use my :mag: glass and be looking at all of you today and see if you are behaving yourselves. It is so early in the morning, I can't even think of sunny thoughts so I will post them later on. Check back in later lovelies. Faye :) |
I have Not been Behaving Myself at All
Another no pointer day for me!!! Tomorrow is grocery shopping day. :^: So I hope to make healthy choices. Of course I will have hubby, so as we all know, that makes it trickier. I don't have any :sunny: Thoughts yet. Let me work on that one. Right now I just wanted to post and let ya know I'm still alive. Opposite of Faye though, I'm not starting my day I'm getting wound down for bed. See all of you soon. Here's wishing you all :sunny: thoughts. :wizard: Have a great day!!!

Good Sunny Saturday Chicklets!!:flow1:
pts for yesterday: 1pt for water, 1 for exercise, and 2 pts for program...now there is a Sunny Thought!!!! Plan on doing the same today! Got lots of errands to run before going to work, and have appt to go get my hair cut, that is always a treat, I love to have someone shampoo it for me....feels great!:D going to get it colored soon I think, and a "new do", then getting new glasses too, and plan on wearing makeup again, a new me on the outside to match the new way I am feeling on the inside...guess the hair coloring (the blond highlights) will be one of my rewards for losing!! yipppppe, I like the sound of that! :spin: Well I am off to do my walking, gotta get my blood to pumping and these tired old muscles to moving, need energy for my day.:strong: :jig: |
Amanda:YOU GET A: :grouphug: for being here today and knowing what you need to do! Hope you have a nice day today!
Pam: YOU GET A: :bravo: for your points. I spend a bundle on "beauty." It is one of the things I do for myself religiously since we can now afford it. I use an upscale salon, color my hair once a month, get my nails done twice a month, buy Bath and Body products etc. I just spent like $20 on a lipstick and gloss the other day! I just think that if you don't care enough to make yourself beautiful on the outside, no one in this stupid world is gonna take the time to find out about who you are on the inside! I am now also trying to care for the inside besides losing weight. I am on a natural program for my menopausal symptoms because they are becoming really bad and out of control sort of. God love him, at least my dh doesn't have to put up with mood swings much as part of it. 99% of mine are physical symptoms. It is absolutely miserable here already this morning. My sil law cut down branches from our tree last night so I went out this morning and swept up leaves, sawdust etc from the deck in my gown and was sweating the whole time. The humidity has to be way up there. Well am off to the shower as today is commissary day.....OH GOODY! I will check in later and assess smileys. Hope you enjoy the following for sunny thoughts Saturday. Faye :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: HUMOR FOR TODAY!!! (I CAN MAKE FUN AS I AM BLOND!) The Other Side So there's this blonde out for a walk. She comes to a river and sees another blonde on the opposite bank. "Yoo-hoo" she shouts, "how can I get to the other side?" The second blonde looks up the river then down the river then shouts back, "You are on the other side." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clear Or Not A married couple was asleep when the phone rang at 2 in the morning. The wife (undoubtedly blonde), picked up the phone, listened a moment and said, "How should I know, that's 200 miles from here!" and hung up. The husband asked, "Who was that?" The wife said, "I don't know, some woman wanting to know 'if the coast is clear." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Burglarized Returning home from work, a blonde was shocked to find her house ransacked and burglarized. She telephoned the police at once and reported the crime. The police dispatcher broadcast the call on the channels, and a K-9 unit patrolling nearby was the first to respond. As the K-9 officer approached the house with his dog on a leash, the blonde ran out on the porch, shuddered at the sight of the cop and his dog, then sat down on the steps. Putting her face in her hands, she moaned, "I come home to find all my possessions stolen. I call the police for help, and what do they do? They send me a BLIND policeman!" ---------------------------------------------------------     |
Mornin' All--It's rainy and cool here, but here's a sunny thought...I had to pull out an extra blanket last night!! Ok, it's sunny for me, I hate the heat. Fall is my favorite season, when the frost just starts falling and it's crisp in the morning but still a little warm in the afternoon.
I only got OP points for yesterday. Too busy sewing to remember exercise (oh, and we took the kids to see Finding Nemo). By the time I went to bed, I was SOOOOO THIRSTY! "I wonder why I'm so thirsty" I said.....DUH, I didn't drink any water. Anyhoo...I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Sandy: I did go to the Bangor fair, and we're blowing off the Lob Fest cuz it's raining (and we sent many many seabugs to their doom last night)...don't worry, I only eat mine with lemon--no butter. Faye: I miss the old avatar!! BUt you do look great! Since you asked what the girls made for the fair.....my oldest, Catey, made a clay sculpture of a chinese dragon. And my middle girl, Sarah, made an Anime style (Japanese Animation) picture with colored pencils. I'm stumped.........what is WATP video? I'm usually good at figuring out these acronyms, but this one has me confused. Later, Julie |
WATP Walk away the pounds :)
Good morning girlies. My cable has been out all morning and I have been watching the modem.. just waiting for it to connect and my service to be back! Finally!!!!:cb: I got 2 pts yesterday for OP and 1 for water and 1 for exercise. Got the grocery shopping done yesterday.. Bought TONS of veggies..I do that every couple of days because they only last a few days as it is. Then I feel pressured to eat them instead of junk because I know they will wilt/go bad if I dont! Also stocked up on Morningstar farm burgers.. on sale WOOOHOO! Tried their veggie dogs and lemme say.. NOT for me. I'll stick with Turkey dogs from now on . Julie : Congrats on your points yesterday :). My favorite season is fall as well. I just love when the leaves turn and the feel of the air. Faye : I like the new avatar! Commissary day sounds interesting. I have only heard of them... never been to one. Get that pedicure scheduled yet? ;) Pam: Congrats on your points! Blonde highlights sound pretty. I am naturally blackhaired (indian) and I dye it red. I doubt that I could ever get away with blonde. I just dont think it would go that light! I am off to the petstore to stock up on Parrot supplies. Then I need to get my hair trimmed and if the sun comes out at all I am going to try to lay out. A tan body seems to look thinner to me. I guess its a frame of mind! On the upside... I just found out about tax checks being sent out this month for child tax relief! I guess this has been in the works for months.. Where have I been? We qualify and I cant wait to get that $400 per child credit/check! Wooooooohooooooo! I hope everyone gets one for their kids!! I'll think of something else smiley and post it soon :) :flow2::flow2:Happy Saturday!:flow2::flow2: |
Julie: YOU GET A: :high: for points yesterday. My son is an artist. He sure didn't get it from me. He doesn't do it for a living, but he does and has done side work like back in his Grateful Dead days he painted a lot of leather jackets with stuff on the backs and he did a few restaurant murals.
Debbie: YOU GET A: :bravo: for points. The commissary is your basic supermarket but all foods paper good etc nothing else like cosmetics, or clothing or stuff like that. You have to go to the PX (post exchange) or if you are Navy/Marine it is called Navy Exchange to buy department store type stuff. I save a lot of money, pay no sales tax just a 3 % service charge, do not bag the groceries or have to haul them to the car there are people who do that for you. For instance, I paid $1.31 for a half gallon of milk and 83 cents for a dozen eggs. Meats are cheaper but not quite so competitive as other things are. We did get all finished with that, got it home and put away and I went to the pool for an hour. That is nice as it is TOM and I am in a lot of pain and it helps quite a bit. My uterus works overtime for some reason making me feel bad. I don't have tumors or endemetriosis or anything like that, have right on periods every month except lighter since I am menopausal and never have problems with break through bleeding or anything like that, but the first 48 hours of my period are HELLLLLL as far as pain is concerned. I got up this morning and was shaking so bad my knees were like hello and it is all period/menopause related. AH well, this too shall pass right girls? Gonna go now as I am going over to the library before it closes and I need to shower off the clorine. One last thing to make you guys laugh. I have this really pretty knit dark peach t-shirt that has a satin like yoke and haven't been able to wear it and it fits now so I wanted to wear it. It was wrinkled so I tossed it in the dryer with a bet hand towel and it came out great. I put it on and out the door we went to Bob Evans for breakfast, haircut for dh and then to commissary. I went to the bathroom after breakfast and after going to the rest room, went to the mirror washed and put on some new lipstick. I turned to go and noticed the tag sticking out of my t-shirt. God, I had the thing on inside OUT! Of course, dh thought this was uproariously funny! Hope you do too! Faye:) |
Oh Faye.. your shirt. I am trying not to laugh :flow1: But it is a tiny bit funny  I would have been embarrassed but my kids and dh would have gotten a hoot out of it. Hope the TOM takes it easy on you. I sure do not miss having cycles.. mine were absolutely horrible! On HRT now though, due to surgical menopause after my hyst. Im a basket case some days.. but I suppose we will find a good balance soon :) Hang in there. Once menopause is through you can go out like I did and buy white shorts and undies to wear every single day without worry!
~This too shall pass~ :grouphug: to all! |
