  • katiam! Clown pants! haha! I love it. I've been wardrobe shopping for a while, am now in my smallest size jeans and they are getting baggy too. I'm looking forward to buying new clothes, in a size 10, but not excited about spending the money!

Penny - How frustrating to plateau. I'm sure your plans to mix it up will help you break through. Enjoy the wedding. Being in the wedding party instead of the guest is overrated in my opinion. I like choosing what I get to wear!

Danieh - I'm kinda like that too. I sometimes have wooshes after eating random things too. Congrats!

love2be - Congrats on a new decade! I can't wait to be in the 160's!

Raining - Keep it up, you are almost in the 160's!

As for me, I hit 175.6 today which I'm thrilled about. I just spend the weekend doing round 1 of thanksgiving with my parents and was very, very good, much to my mothers disappointment. I hope I can hit 174 before the real thanksgiving.
  • Katiam247, haha clown pants made me chuckle but I am right there with you. My pants aren't fitting well either. I was just talking this weekend with my hubby that I need to go get some next weekend. They are too loose in the waist and look and feel terrible.

Yay danieh09 on the huge drop and getting through the bloat!

Great job getting through a Thanksgiving dinner leopardspots! I hope I can have the same restraint. We are hosting this year, so I made sure we have lots of healthy choices for before dinner and dinner itself, now I just need to behave!

    Hi Penny and love2b150
  • danieh - congrats on the drop!

leopard - good job hanging in there at your Thanksgiving dinner. Way to go on the drop, too!

Raining - I am sort of short- and thick-waisted to begin with and usually have to buy pants to fit my waist and are already a little baggy on the hips and legs. So, my pants I have now are REALLY, REALLY baggy! Just tried on my old 14 jeans and they fit on the hips and legs, but no-go on the button and zipper. lol

Hello Penny and love2b, hope your day is going wel!
  • I am just the opposite Kat, it's my thighs that give me the most problems. I can zip and button a pair but they will be busting at the seams of my thighs. I have lost a lot in my waist and butt and a tiny bit in my thighs, so it is so hard to find a pair of pants that fit just right. I am in between sizes, 14s are too big but 12s tend to be too tight in the thighs but fit my waist. This is just based off jeans I have in my closet, haven't gone out and bought any at all.
  • Kat, LOL on the pants You're gonna really have a ball shopping. Can't wait to hear about it I absolutely love seafood. I so miss going to the wharf in DC. It was a drive but so well worth it. Then they had this crabber that would come to Stafford and sell bushels of blue crab, oh my goodness I was in heaven I could get everything else at Shopper's or Giant Yeah Potomac Mills has changed. The last time I went home my daughter and I went to Springfield Mall. That has really changed also. I can go to a buffet with my oldest son. He eats his moneys worth, like Mommy, no waste

danieh, isn't it funny how that happens. You eat OP and nothing. Throw some stuff in there that you typically don't eat and voila Nice whoosh there, GO YOU

Thanks leopardspots nice weigh in Why do Mom's feel some kind of way when we don't eat a lot?? Mine is the same way ... Oh a little more won't hurt you she says! It was short lived only two days. I've been at 170 even the last two days

Raining you'll do fine on Thanksgiving. I just hope I can stay away from the bread. I love yeast rolls and stuffing oh and my mac n cheese or my sons Raining try some of the junior sizes. My husband bought a few pair in different sizes and I said I can't wear those but they work out fine. Size 15 & 13 ... I don't know what it is. I'm in my 10's now and the waist is tight again. I need to get it in gear Raining a whoosh and you'll be outta here GO YOU
  • I never thought of that love2b150, I will have to glance around this weekend, thanks for the tip! I would love to get into the 160s but the way I have been dropping, I have a feeling I am going to stall here soon if my pattern in the past stays true.
  • Raining we're gonna scratch the word "stall" from our vocabulary. No s----s, just movement forward/downward
  • Well, I don't know if I broke the stall, but I hope so. I was at 171.6 today (although that's up from 170.8 yesterday). So, if my pattern holds, I'll be here for another two week.

Fighting munchies/cravings for the past 24 hours (and winning, which is the important bit). Not horrible, but they're the kind that catch my by surprise. Like, I already have the candy in my hand before I even realize it. O_o

Leopardspots: I like choosing what I wear to weddings, too. I've had some pretty interesting bridesmaid dresses I've worn...

    Raining: Hello! How's it going?

Katiam: I get the exact same thing with pants. If they fit my waist, I have enough room for two in the thigh/hip/butt area.

Love2b: I agree with you and Raining! No more s----s! Here's hoping!
  • Woke up with another 3 pound drop in weight (water of course) for a weight in of 174.4, but i'm definitely taking it. I've been working hard both in the gym and kitchen so i'm hoping I was losing body fat this whole time and was just compensating the loss with retaining water. This is the lowest I've ever weighed in over a year so i'm claiming that I will get into the 160's by the end of the year!
  • love2b - I have cracked many a blue crab, but I never liked that greeny-yellow stuff inside and it ruins the taste. My parents had a small boat and they would drop the crab pots in while we fished. I know you can rinse that gooey stuff off, but I have gotten lazy and now prefer the snow crab legs. Large pieces dipped in butter. Yummmmm DH is allergic to shellfish, so he is limited to fish and other dishes. At least Capt. George's offers that and I can get my occasional seafood, because I love it too, except oysters. Will eat roasted ones, but not real fond of them.

Penny - Good job resisting those munchies. I had to give out candy during the 3 trick or treating Saturdays at our permanent trailer's campground and my hand was in the bowl mixing up the candies and smelling the flavors, but did not eat a single piece. Cheers to us for having the willpower!

danieh - congrats on the drop!

Well, I am up 1 lb today to 179.6. Went out to eat last night, so that means lots of sodium. Hope it drops back down quickly!
  • Hey ladies, I'm still here No drop last week, but I had a very inactive week. Very hopeful for this week as I've been able to ride my bike more already.

    danieh09 - Wow, that's a lot of water weight!

Penny105 - I am right there with you..so close, but so far!

katiam247 - Ok, now I'm HUNGRY! I never did have a chance to have a crab feast before I moved away from the coast. Mmm. My parents would kill the crabs, open them up, rinse them out, and then cook them. So once they got to the table all you had to do was deal with the shell, none of the gunk.
  • Penny definitely NO MORE I have my that you are out of here before next week Penny I was 170 yesterday and 171.7 today Well Krispy Kreme is all around me. I took some to work because there were so many here and there are still some left.

danieh, I am so happy for you, WAY TO GO

Kat, I like the greeny-yellow stuff depending on the color. Some isn't too bitter. I can tell by the smell when I open the crab. Most of the time I eat it. My kids rinse it off. My husband is not big on seafood, he will eat fried fish but that is about it. I like the snow crab with butter and Old Bay mixed We even make a dip with mayo, Old Bay and hot sauce. tasty and tangy Sam's Club had some blue crab a few weeks back for a decent price I may just take a drive . I don't like oysters, clams or mussels That lb will definitely flush out soon

NNS for a drop to the 160's soon
  • I am happy to hear your scale moved Penny, you may have been up a tiny bit yesterday but you are still lower than you were last week! yay!

Congrats on another great drop danieh09!
  • Dang, more close calls. Those cravings are really working on me. I was getting that internal voice saying, "Think how fun it would be if you ate a ton of x, y, and z!" And it would be fun, I know, but I would be so MAD afterward because I'm SO CLOSE to the 160s. Not worth it.

It's a bit worse perhaps because I'm stressed out with work (these next couple weeks are going to be kinda rough). But food will not help stress, so it's better to eat what I eat and feel what I feel...separately.

Danieh: So jealous of your whoosh! But awesome work with the gym and the eating and your year's low weight!

Katiam: That takes some power to resist all the candy - great work!

NNS: I think it's the hovering on the edge of a new decade that gets me a lot. There's the mid-decade restlessness (like, I've been here long enough, let's go), but it's worse right near the end! We WILL get there, though!

Love2b: Yep, gotta love fluctuations. Oh well, they're normal. And as long as I don't stick to the same weight for weeks on end, it doesn't bother me much.
Wow, all those donut have to be so tempting! Especially if you heat them a little in the microwave - yum!

Raining: Thanks! Yep, I'm happy to be below 173.x! I just hope it's not a repeat of the last two weeks. I'd like to see the 160s in the next week or so, ideally.
  • Penny105: Don't be too jealous!

I weighed in at 175.2 this morning so up a pound, but then my scale did this weird reset thing for no reason. I made the stupid decision to weight again and it went up to 178.8. I'm not sure which is right, or why that happened. I'm going to stick with 175.2 and see what the scale says tomorrow.
