I'm so ready to be out of the 170s and into the 160s. I want to get this show on the road! And I miss seeing bones and tendons from lower weights... But patience is key. It won't happen overnight, and I know that. It's not magic. I'll get there.

Raining: good to hear from you! I'm glad this month has been going well despite being so busy!

jeminijad: Welcome to the 170s thread! :welcome2: Congrats on being overweight (and not obese)! That's an awesome feeling, isn't it?
Just a heads up about this thread: it was resurrected, so most of us weren't here at the start of it, and the people who started it are gone now.

danieh: Good luck with your tests - I hope they come back and say you're fine, or that the problem is an easy fix!

Raining 10-27-2015 11:51 AM

Penny105, I am right there with you on wanting to get there! It won't be long! :cheer2:

I have seen so much change in the last 30 pounds, I am so excited to see what the next 30 have in store. It's been so long since I have been in the 160s, I am so looking forward to getting into that decade soon.

danieh09 10-27-2015 08:57 PM

Well my results came back and my vitamin D was pretty low at 18 ng per ml. On supplements for 8 weeks then retest. Hoping this helps my energy levels.

Does anyone ever wonder what their body shape is? You know, they always have pear, apple, ruler, inverted triangle, etc. Although apple always seems to just be 'overweight' on some sites.

I just can't tell exactly what I am. I have too much fat obscuring it. I know for SURE I'm not a pear or an hourglass. That's about it. I could be V-shaped, or ruler-shaped, or apple-shaped, or something along those lines.

Sometimes I just really want to know, but it's so hard to tell with my current weight. I've done online things that are supposed to tell you, but usually I get "Unknown." Gee, thanks.

Someday, I want to know.

Raining: I've seen some really good changes the last 30 lbs, too. And I can't wait to see the changes in the NEXT 30 lbs (and beyond)! But I tend to get tired of a decade about 2-5 lbs in...and then want to be in the next lowest one.

Danieh: I hope the supplements help! And that there's nothing seriously wrong. Good luck!

I'm one of those people who obsessively research something and it's unreal how much Vitamin D effects everything. I've read a lot of women in similar situations as mine finally seeing weight loss after restoring their levels. My energy levels are already 50% better, so i'm very happy! I'm going to back off on being as aggressive with my weight loss until my levels stabilize and my body is in a better position to handle a calorie deficit.

Inching closer...I'm excited for tomorrow's weigh in, though I don't think I'll quite be out of 170, I should be really really close. I have been in this decade since February! No where near hitting my goal to be under 150 this year but at least I've made some progress.

Still, I have never as an adult been in the 170s. The 160s will be equally new territory. Maybe next year I'll see a single digit clothing size for the first time lol

Penny, this site seems to be pretty good for choosing your body type. Mine is a no-brainer...I am a big shiny red Apple. LOL When I was normal weight I was an hourglass, but all my weight gain went into my midsection. I never heard of "column." I think that compares to "ruler", straight up and down.

Danieh, how much vitamin D are they suggesting you take to get your levels up?

Penny, it seems like everytime I see 169 point anything my body gets scared (or my mind goes crazy) and the 170's are back :)

NNS, you're doing great, as always ... 160's here you come ;)

The lowest I've been was 152.8. I would love to get close to that again. I just told someone on another thread that I think that I am starting to be ok at this weight eventhough I know it's not my ideal weight and surely not good for my health. But life just seems to keep me from going any lower/staying for awhile/then continuing on, idk ...

today 172.5, October 1st I was 170.2, smh

danieh09 10-30-2015 11:03 AM

Right now I'm on a weekly supplement of 50,000 iu (D2) for 8 weeks. Once I retest to see where my levels are at and if i'm absorbing it properly, I assume we'll begin working towards finding how much puts me at a maintenance level. I've been seeing a lot of women who tested at around the same level and take 5,000 iu of D3. All I know is I started taking the supplement on Tuesday and already feel like a different person.

Raining 10-30-2015 12:24 PM

I tried to figure out my body type but looks like I don't fit in any of those perfectly. I would say I am closest to pear, though my shoulders aren't narrower than my hips.

love2b150 10-30-2015 02:01 PM

danieh, wow ... I'm glad you're feeling better :)

Raining, I don't know where I'd fit either :) I'd say an hourglass with an apple gut :D

danieh09 10-30-2015 02:18 PM

I will say I got back up to 180 on Monday and this morning I'm back down to 178 without tracking macros or really trying, but still eating healthy. That made me happy.

love2b150 10-30-2015 02:33 PM

keep up the good work :)

Penny105 10-31-2015 10:46 AM

NNS: Hopefully we all get to wear a LOT of single digit clothing next year! :D

Wannabehealthy: Thanks for the site! I got even scores on column and apple. Lol!

Love2b150: I've had that too, that rebound when I cross into a new decade. I wonder if I feel it coming on, if I don't weigh for a while and silently pass the threshold if that'll help...
Either way, we're getting to the 160s and staying there!...for a little while, and then moving onto the 150s pretty soon afterward. ;)

Danieh: I'm glad the vitamin D supplements are helping!

Raining: Yeah, my body doesn't fit exactly anywhere, either. That's okay, I kinda already knew that. Do you have a hard time finding clothes that fit your shape well? I do.

Penny105 10-31-2015 10:48 AM

I'm going to do another monthly weigh-in post. It's just a lot easier to edit the one post, at least for me.

November:

1- 173.6
2- 173.2
3- 173.2
4- 173.8 (Okay, I'm kinda tired of 173 now... this is like day 8!)
5- 173.8 (Nevermind, it's actually been 10 days now )
6- 173.4 (day 11...)
7- 171.4 (okay, now let's keep moving down, yes?)
8- 170.8 (I'm liking this trend. Let's keep it going.)
9- 171.6 (I guess not... :/ )
10- 171.4
11- 170.2 (Good direction! Keep going!)
12- 169.6! (Hope it sticks around!)
13- 170.8 (it didn't...)
14- 169.4
15- 168.4

Okay, I think I'm calling it. 160s it is. :D
