Default How is this even possible?

I've been a bit stuck in my weight lately and yesterday I had a "Gaaaahhh!" type of day, which resulted in my allowing myself to eat not only half of a cheese pizza (frozen type), but also a pint of Oikos Chocolate Frozen Greek Yogurt. (Which is AH-mazing.)

This morning I weighed in. I lost weight.

???!

Sometimes if you eat too little and then eat a lot your body goes nuts and does not know whether to go up or down, this has happened to me also.

I don't know. I went away over the weekend and GORGED MYSELF constantly and came back the lightest weight of my life. No answers!

In my case it's likely lost muscle mass though since my gym closed =(

Were you eating enough before? Your body will store fat if it doesn't get enough to eat, causing you not able to lose weight. Then you eat and your body goes into crazy mode.

I think occasionally eating much more than usual must have an impact on the metabolism. A lot of people seem to experience this, whatever causes it

I mostly eat 1100-1300 calories/day, but I throw in the occasional day of 1500 or so, and it does nothing but good things for me.

There are things the human body does that shouldn't even be questioned. No matter how hard we try we cannot control out body, we just can't. We can steer it in the right direction, we can be consistent about how we care for it but at the end of the day we simply have no control what happens. My good friend got cancer and died - there was no family history and she was as healthy as they come. Ok that's a little depressing I know but it's been on my mind a lot, losing her is hard enough, but the why and the how is unexplainable. You can't control everything. Especially with calorie counting.

How is this possible? It's called water fluctuation.

Translation - your body released some water.

Fat loss/gain is not the same thing as weight loss/gain.
