Join me in tracking our successful summer

If you're interested in tracking our weight loss progress together please add your username, weight, and goal weight to the spreadsheet. We can use this thread as a place to share what helped us succeed each week, or we can simply gain motivation from others support and success. Let's team up and encourage each other as we enjoy the summer, go on vacations, camp, BBQ, and all the other moments of temptation! We will begin Monday Jun. 23rd, and go until Sept. 1st. Where could you be in 10 weeks if you started today and truly dedicated yourself? My biggest problem is dedicating myself only 50% of the time! For the next 10 weeks... I'm doing it! 100% I can do anything for 10 weeks!

Here is the link to the spreadsheet!! I hope to see you there.

Cheyenneb4u 06-23-2014 10:49 AM

I've added my starting weight... I hate that I've gained 10lbs! My clothes DO NOT fit right. It's totally disappointing... I've got this!!

underanalysis 06-23-2014 10:57 AM

I love spreadsheets! I added mine

JenVitz 06-23-2014 05:47 PM

I added my info to your spreadsheet! I am so excited for this!

Rose426 06-23-2014 07:21 PM

I added my info..I think it worked. I have lost all motivation to lose this baby weight :( I have actually gained 6 pounds back and I feel awful nothing fits and I still look 5 months pregnant..starting over tomorrow!

Cheyenneb4u 06-23-2014 10:34 PM

Wonderful!! I'm so glad you all joined!!!

Rose - I recently gained 10 lbs. right after buying tons of new clothes! I can't even wear them now! It's soo depressing. BUT, we don't have to be depressed... We can make good choices.. just a few days of success is like pressing the reset motivation key. I'm focusing on my week by week successes rather than the final weigh in. Small goals seem so much easier to attain.

And of course if Tuesday, or Wednesday or whatever day works better for you feel free to use that day for your weekly weigh-in.

Cheyenneb4u 06-28-2014 11:16 AM

Two more days of hard work until weigh in and hopefully I'll see my number drop.. I sure hope that last nights "Girls Night" with tequila and snacks won't ruin too much of my hard work! eeeek... on a good note.. I did win a few card games!

Cheyenneb4u 06-30-2014 03:12 PM

weigh in day for me... I wish that losing 1 lbs felt better!!! I need to lose 2 a week if I'm gonna meet my goal. I hope you're all doing good!

jollyjude 06-30-2014 03:46 PM

Hello all,

Just joined and added to the spreadsheet! Love the spreadsheet:)

love2b150 06-30-2014 04:23 PM

Cheyenne I'm glad you're back, thanks for starting another spreadsheet :)

Wishing us all great success :)

luckymommy 06-30-2014 05:18 PM

Hi there everyone!

I just posted my stats on the spreadsheet as well. Hope that's ok. Thanks!

Sum38 06-30-2014 05:49 PM

I am in... I just LOVE spreadsheet challenges.

I am giving myself a modest goal of losing 1 pound per week. I have been so unsuccessful for a few months now (due to being simply lazy) that a pound a week sounds divine!

ETA; My ticker is wrong, I am having hard time being truthful :D

hiddenstar 06-30-2014 09:15 PM

I'm in also. I need all the motivation to complete the last 10 pounds. I did have a high sodium weekend so I was up 2 pounds on Monday but hope to lose them soon.

I got an out of state family reunion/vacation coming up in 2 weeks. So nervous that will mess me up or make me lose motivation when I return. We are driving. Already planning on bringing breakfast and lunch. But dinner will most likely be at restaurants.

:dust: that we have a successful summer.

jollyjude 07-01-2014 11:39 AM

I have a vacation coming up this Friday for a week. Restaurant meals really throw me off, but I am learning to be more direct and insistent on what I want.

I now have no problem giving my order for "grilled with no breading, fat or sauces, lemon only", or "salad with no croutons, dressing on the side only". If they bring it wrong I very politely look them in the eye and say "I'm sorry, I can't eat that - that isn't what I ordered".

I have discovered that the world doesn't end doing this, and in fact people have been very accommodating in fulfilling my polite but firm requests.

That being said, it is hard to see so many goodies on the menu, and know that those things aren't what my body needs, just what my brain thinks it wants!

CanadianMomma 07-01-2014 01:33 PM

Love spreadsheets.

I have a cheap mechanical scale that I didn't trust to give me an accurate number, but hauled out the old Wiifit and know where I'm at now. I hadn't been paying attention to my weight since I got pregnant about a year and a half ago.

I've actually managed to gain weight while nursing! Well, time to take it off I suppose.

BTW my name is Cheyanne!

Wannabehealthy 07-01-2014 01:49 PM

I keep signing up for these. One of these days I'm going to succeed!

LilDazed 07-01-2014 02:20 PM

Alrighty! Added my name to the spreadsheet.

As Joe from Family Guy would say: LET'S DO THIS! ALRIIIIGHT!!

This can be it!!! The time it works!!! =) What works for me is focusing on 2 or 3 days at a time... and then when I see 3 days of success, it fuels my motivation to keep up the good work!

Cheyanne!! You have BEAUTIFUL NAME =) I also was a nursing weight gainer!!! Although my youngest is 6... that's a thing of the past. I only have oreo cookies to blame now!!! Glad you're here!

Thanks so much!!! Last time I just got to depressed that I wasn't losing, that I just gave up! This time I have a new motivation. School is out, so I'm home from work for the summer and focused! I'm glad you're back for round 2 =)

Someone recently said to me... If you take a step in the right direction.. the rest of you will have no choice of you but to follow!

Alicat27 07-01-2014 09:33 PM

I just added my name. I just returned to WW two weeks ago, so this spreadsheet will be a big help, accountability-wise. I'm going to my sisters for 10 days soon, and knowing I have to post here will help. Thanks! Alice

Cheyenneb4u 07-02-2014 10:19 PM

If you want the -N- column "Current Pounds Lost" to calculate automatically, you'll want to make sure the the -B- column has your starting weight EVEN if you add your name after Jun 23 (which I renamed starting weight to make it more clear ) --- I hope that makes sense!!

And on a different note... Any plans for the 4th??? BBQs? perhaps!!! any tips or tricks that you use to prevent over eating at potluck style gatherings or places that seem to have tables of munchies out all day to promote that constant grazing that sneaks in and kills your motivation and sense of self control? =)

CanadianMomma 07-04-2014 07:42 PM

Thanks for the clarification on the weight calculation.

I am in Canada so we had our celebration July 1st. It was easy to avoid any munchies for me, my husband took my girl's to the inlaws and I got to catch up on some chores and solitude. He works 60+ work weeks and I am at home with the girls, so a holiday for me was being able to do housework uninterrupted lol.

Knowing I am going to do a weigh in this Monday has helped me stay motivated, so big thanks Cheyenne for starting this up.

unwanted37lbs 07-05-2014 05:20 AM

i AM IN! I have a question - starting weight is on June 1?

unwanted37lbs 07-05-2014 05:29 AM

I also sent my husband and kids to celebrate the 4th. I stayed home (work overnight) and cached on some sleep. Plus got on treadmill and did 4 miles :)
Its hard to find time to excersize and eat normal meals while working full time overnight. Plus juggling kids daily evening activities in the evening.

unwanted37lbs 07-05-2014 05:36 AM

PS. Since i work nights Monday morning is when i get home from work and eating at work and coming home is not the same for me as weighing yourself first thing in the morning after sleeping all night. :) Soo... I weigh myself on Saturday mornings because that is my second day off and i do sleep at night on Friday night. So since this group is weighing themselves on Mondays I will go ahead and keep doing my Saturday weighs and log it as if its Monday :)

Cheyenneb4u 07-05-2014 11:49 AM

I'm glad you're in! ... You totally don't have to weigh in on Monday. It's just a general guideline.. but it's gotta make sense for your life. Just put it on whatever date is closest to your weigh in date.

I'm going to be out of town and out of computer reach while camping next week... so I'll be weighing in on Sunday this week.. things are going good just so long as my salt in take from yesterday didn't make me retain too much water. Mostly yesterday was a veggie day .. so.. all is good.

Sum38 07-05-2014 11:57 AM

My motivation is back!! I have a trip planned in early September to Finland, and I want to go there all skinny and fabulous. I have adjusted my goal a bit higher; I am hoping to lose 1 - 1 1/2 pounds per week. I was 142 pounds on July 1st, by September 4th I am hoping to be 129.8 :D I have not been that thin in years. That would make me a solid size 6 in clothing. Today I am 140, so in 5 days I have already lost 2 pounds.... I know a lot of it is water at first. But if I keep my eating in check and stick to my 5:2/high protein plan, I can do it!! Plus I exercise a lot; my goal is to keep exercising 2500-3000 minutes per month.

I grew up in Finland; and all my friends there are fit and trim. I felt awful last time I was there, I was 30 pounds heavier then. I felt like an elephant next to my skinny, minny friends. Even at 130 pounds I will still be bigger than them, but not obese.

What's your motivation this time around?

love2b150 07-05-2014 02:06 PM

Thanks Cheyenne  I like the saying ... too bad my signature has too many characters now or I would surely add that one also :) I like reminders of the small things we seem to forget when we fall off the wagon with one meal, why is it so easy to remember what helps??? things that make you go hummm :D I spent the day with all of my children the grown one and her hubby also. Ate what I didn't plan but had a ball, walked a ton and gained a pound :) but it will be gone on Monday and I'll be at my ticker weight or lower :crossed: because I have to beat my son ;)

Cheyanne, beautiful baby :)

unwanted, I'm going back to work soon but not at night this time. I wonder how long it will take me to get back into the swing of things. I worked third shift with 5 children at home and boy do I remember :dizzy: My hat is off to you

Sum as always I'm loving your happy sound :) You can and will do it, GO YOU :high:

Cheyenneb4u 07-05-2014 11:04 PM

I'm adding my Jun 7th weight and logging out until I return from camping!!! I plan on taking lots of walk and eating healthy while camping!! I hope I can come home to a nice scale surprise!! =)

love2b150 07-05-2014 11:14 PM

Have fun Cheyenne :) see you when you get back

FitFanny 07-06-2014 01:42 AM

I'm starting a little late but I love tracking my progress. Keeps me accountable :)

OregonGal1964 07-06-2014 02:38 AM

I'm in...i "think" i put my info in correctly:) lol

LilDazed 07-06-2014 01:57 PM

Sundays are gonna be easiest weigh-in days for me so I'll go ahead and record then. 1.3 lbs. down! ^_^

CanadianMomma 07-07-2014 06:56 AM

love2b150: Thanks, she's the happiest baby, always smiling.

Cheyenne: I hope you enjoyed your camping trip. I can't wait to take my girl's camping for the first time towards the end of this summer! My husband and I have been planing to go every year since we started dating, but it just never panned out.

LilDazed: Congrats on the loss!

I like having a Monday weigh in day, it stops me from going totally hog wild on in the weekends, which I consider my lax days. However this weekend was crazy hectic and we ended up eating more take-out then I would like. I had a lower weight earlier this week, and I'm pretty sure I'm holding on to some sodium induced lbs.

But hey a 1 lb drop is still going in the right direction!

I also didn't really push to find the time to go and exercise. I need to do that, if only because I really enjoy it and it keeps my mood away from 'must eat everything chocolate'.

Hope everyone has a happy weigh in!

Sum38 07-07-2014 07:05 AM

Another week, and I finally lost some, and not just some but a lot! Amazing what staying OP does to one's weight  I lost 5.6 pounds since last weigh-in. All bloat!! Now the hard work begins; the "real" fat loss.

I adjusted my total loss goal to 130 pounds; 11.6 pound total loss. I am secretly hoping that it will be closer to 15 pounds tho :spin:

Sum38 07-07-2014 07:10 AM

CanadianMomma Mine is the opposite; I am more disciplined on weekends, I am even considering moving one of my fast days to Sundays ( I follow the 5:2 plan). -- There are exceptions though; when my son plays tournament ball; we eat out a lot on those weekends. BUT, because my DH (:drill:) travels during the week, I eat out of loneliness and boredom on those days, and when he is home, he is my rock and biggest supporter; he kindly reminds me if things I am about to eat are OP and how I will feel on the following morning when weigh-in time comes. So it is easier to stay OP on weekends for me. -- I also cook more on the weekends, because the whole family is home.

LilDazed :woohoo: on your weight loss!

Sum38 07-08-2014 01:07 PM

I wrote to my FB wall that I am so happy today that I could burst! -- I have been perfectly on plan and great things are happening. I am 3 + pounds away from losing 40 pounds, which I hope to achieve in 10 days or less; then I will work on losing total of 50 pounds by September 4th; for my European vacation.

Last time I was in Europe, I was at my heaviest. My friends will be blown away when they see me!

CanadianMomma 07-10-2014 08:30 AM

Sum38: You've made such amazing progress! I can only imagine how excited you are for your trip. I've thought of trying out IF for awhile now. I first learnt about it when I was pregnant with the little one I'm nursing right now. Once she is fully weaned I'm going to give it a go.

I'm on TOM so that might explain why my weight went down and then up a bit again. Hopefully in a week I will have a nice little whoosh. Either way I was sure to set myself a modest goal so I knew even slow progress would get me there (kinda feels like cheating haha).

I'm glad you're in!! =) For the starting weight.. Your current weight, or the weight when you joined in. It's just so the calculation inputs will correctly show your progress over the next 7 weeks =)

JoggerGirl03 07-10-2014 08:50 PM

Hi there everyone!

I'm in ... I'm starting a little late but I love tracking my progress :)

Cheyenneb4u 07-10-2014 09:30 PM
