Mine went down earlier in the week, but was back up for weigh-in today. I started something new workout-wise, though, so we'll see how things are going in a few days.

unwanted37, what are you doing to get those HUGE loses?? very impressive and I'm betting a lot of hard work and dedication! What dies your eating look like?

Thank you guys!
what i do is eat smarter (no carbs like candy or cakes - if i can help it). No fast food if i can help it. Maybe 1-2 times a month. Smaller meals. I love snaking on watermelon between meals. It feels me up and i know its a good food plus water in it.

so here is what i do:

1. My main diet thing i kinda follow is not to mix my carbs meals with protein meals. Thats about it.

2. I also fast for 24 hours once a week. It has tons of benefits for me. For example:
1. Makes me eat smaller meals and be full.
2. Eliminates cravings for unhealthy foods.
3. Gives me tons of energy.
4. And of course some lbs to loose from it. If i ever go overboard with callories that week, fasting is kinda balancing it out.

3. I try to exercise every day. Even 1 mile is better than nothing. I currently try to learn to run (jog) 5K. I am on week #4 now. My goal for August is to be able to jog 1 mile without stopping.

4. Drink lots of water.

So this is all i do. I think fasting, smart eating, excersize is what works for me the most. This combination is what I do every single week.

My weight DROPPED overnight, can I change my weigh-in on the spreadsheet? ;)

Cheyenneb4u 07-30-2014 10:40 AM

Absolutely!!! Or you can save it for a bigger drop on the next weight in... But really, You can use the spreadsheet however you need to best motivate yourself and track your progress!!! Congrats on your drop =)

unwanted37lbs 08-02-2014 07:02 AM

one week at a time, guys :) come on dont give up!

jollyjude 08-02-2014 11:16 AM

Hi everyone, just checking in to say hi.

I will officially weigh and chart my weight on Monday. My weight loss stalled earlier this week. It has been so hot here that I haven't been getting nearly enough sleep, and I haven't been drinking enough water. The last few days have cooled and I am back to my usual water drinking, and I should be able to show a good loss on Monday.

It's amazing how those two things can affect your weight loss!

Cheyenneb4u 08-02-2014 01:11 PM

Almost 2 weeks of lifting weights every other day.. and sweat worthy cardio.. I feel sooo great! I feel alive and ready to go!!! =) Regardless of what I see on the scale over the next few weeks.. I'm gonna let exercise be my focus.. although I'll continue to chart my weight for the record, but I'm not stressing about losing. I want to lose.. but that will come when my body adjusts to my new activity level! =)

love2b150 08-03-2014 07:21 PM

Cheyenne am I doing something wrong. I opened the spread sheet and only see two names Belinda and Bailey :(

garnetrising 08-03-2014 10:45 PM

I was just wondering the same thing, Love. :/ Well, I don't think either of us are doing anything wrong but I am curious as to what happened.

Cheyenneb4u 08-04-2014 01:26 AM

You are right!! It was changed.. I restored it to the previous version. Thanks for letting me know right away =)

garnetrising 08-04-2014 01:33 AM

Thanks so much, Cheyenne! I can't tell you how awesome it is to be able to sit see the numbers like that. :D

Cheyenneb4u 08-04-2014 11:38 AM

I really love seeing the number laid out in weekly intervals too! I'll be starting another one in September if you wanna keep tracking with me!! =)

luckymommy 08-04-2014 12:02 PM

I absolutely would love to keep tracking with you and so appreciate what you've done. I forgot to weigh in this morning so I'll do it tomorrow although I don't expect a loss and may see a gain because I ate some high sodium foods and I'm premenstrual which usually = a less than pleasant result on the scale. Maybe that's why I "forgot?" ;)

garnetrising 08-04-2014 09:37 PM

Absolutely; I'd love to track it with you again starting in September! I actually created a spreadsheet to track my inches with, including average weekly inches lost, total inches lost, and the change for each measurement because I love seeing the numbers laid out so plainly. :D

I can't wait to drop the last 5 pounds to hit the goal for this. <3

unwanted37lbs 08-05-2014 10:06 AM

I am also in for fall tracking after summer is done :)

garnetrising 08-05-2014 06:00 PM

The scale settled on 222.0 lbs today (my personal weigh-in day). Boohiss. Curiously, the first time I stepped on it this morning, it said 201.0 lbs. Because I think it is losing its mind.

Cheyenneb4u 08-06-2014 12:48 PM

So I decided just to make the spreadsheet for fall so It will be ready ... https://docs.google.com/a/eagles.edu...Rok/edit#gid=0

Here is the link if you wanna sign up early.. I've not yet added the functions, so It doesn't "work" yet, mathematically =) I'll get that done soon!!

Today I'm going to visit a friend I've not seen in 5 years! I wish I was thinner... but that is stupid of me.. She is at least 200 lbs overweight, and I worry that she will notice my 10 pound increase since our last visit! That is so ridiculous of me! Anyways!! Have a wonderful day!

garnetrising 08-06-2014 03:49 PM

Dropped my name on the list and bookmarked it. :)

LilDazed 08-08-2014 09:41 AM

Dropped my name in the Fall one too. Love the color scheme by the way!

garnetrising 08-10-2014 10:29 PM

220.0 lbs this morning! (happy dance)

LilDazed 08-11-2014 02:11 PM

Uuuugh freakin' TOM never makes me wanna get on the scale. I guess I'll hop on tomorrow or Wednesday. =P Blegh!

sweetaddict4real 08-11-2014 07:09 PM

This seems cool. I wish I joined this summer. Oh well Fall... sign me up.. Currently 230 and Goal is 150

garnetrising 08-11-2014 11:50 PM

If you've got your numbers from earlier this summer, you can still plug them in. :)

Cheyenneb4u 08-12-2014 01:54 AM

I'm going to weigh in a few days late this week.. yesterday I took my boys to the fair.. it was 95* plus eating salty fair foods, and today was 100* sooo I'm feeling over heated, holding onto water.. and I don't wanna bring myself down with water weight gain... sooo maybe tomorrow or
Wednesday!! =)

LilDazed 08-13-2014 08:33 AM

Hot, sticky weather. Autumn, where art thou?

Woohoo! Finally went down and am outta the 150's.

Cheyenneb4u 08-13-2014 11:46 AM

So my weight is up.. BUT i've done something HUGE!!! GIGANTIC!!!! I can hardly believe myself... but I'm eating meat. I'm eating animal flesh.... (gag) but I think I will be less likely to grab cookies and chips if I feel I have other options and feel satiated! Eating vegetables and fruits only satisfies part of me... perhaps, I should be eating meat. After all, I'm lifting weights now and I want the building blocks for my muscles to build and recover. So.. I'm anxious now to see how this "first" week goes. how it will affect my weight, my energy level, my gym experience. Anyways!!!! off to the gym. =)

garnetrising 08-14-2014 02:45 PM

Congrats on the drop, LilDazed!

Good luck at the gym, Cheyenne! It is important when building the muscle to make sure you're getting enough protein and meat is a great way to get it... It'll be interesting to see how your body reacts.

underanalysis 08-15-2014 08:58 AM

Excited to track my post-TOM woosh this weekend :)

garnetrising 08-15-2014 05:09 PM

I'm excited to record my numbers for this coming week, too! Especially if my numbers hold. :)

jollyjude 08-16-2014 08:20 PM

Hi everyone:wave:

I am finally back from vacation - the wedding was lovely!
We extended the trip because we had a couple of bouts of auto trouble. Who knew that coming up to the only desert in Canada our air conditioning would die (it was just the sensor, but it was finding someone to get it in right away - we got really lucky and found a sweetheart of a mechanic). Then later in the trip a clamp on one of the power steering hoses decided to let go, and we spewed fluid everywhere and had to start looking for another mechanic in a place where we know nobody. we had to spend another night, but again got lucky and found the nicest mechanic - had it fixed in about 15 minutes and only charged us $20.

Sounds like everyone is staying really positive and doing well!
I am up 3 lbs from when I left, but I didn't just fall off the wagon, I rolled underneath it:eek: But I am back on track today and I am hoping to drop it over the next few days.

Signed up for Fall - no way I am making my summer goal now:(

garnetrising 08-18-2014 03:03 PM

217.6 today. Only 1 lb from my goal for the challenge. :D

jollyjude 08-19-2014 09:55 PM

Garnetrising - How exciting for you to be so close to your goal - you've got this!

TheSatinPumpkin 08-20-2014 10:42 AM

Nice. Put my name down. Amazing how the year has flown. Great going everyone.

YAY!!!!! That is sooo awesome! =) COngrats to you and all your hard work!!

garnetrising 08-22-2014 03:41 PM

For the second day in a row, the scale showed me 213.x. Yesterday, it was 213.4 lbs and I refused to accept it, instead taking 215.4. Today, it showed me 213.6 lbs. Again, my mind and my heart are so reluctant to believe it because of this feeling that the success of being below 215.0 lbs is going to be ripped away from me the moment I accept it as truth. But I can't argue with a scale that's been flirting with the 214-213 range for a while now so I decided to meet the scale in the middle. I averaged yesterday's recorded weight with today's scale weight to make today's recorded weight 214.6 lbs. I'm under 215.0. I don't want to believe it and I think the prospect scares me a little. XD

jollyjude 08-22-2014 07:05 PM

Jessica - :woohoo: Yay you for reaching your goal for the month. You believe it and feel proud of yourself! You can keep moving in the right direction.

Cheyenneb4u - Hope the meat is agreeing with you. I have been there, and it took a little while, but I must admit that I feel a lot better getting good, quality protein in me, and I especially need it when I am more physically active.

I have lost 2 lbs since Wednesday, down to 167.6

garnetrising 08-24-2014 04:17 PM

Officially 4 lbs UNDER my goal for this challenge. This week, the weight has been coming off in spades. It's almost a little worrisome.

luckymommy 08-25-2014 09:33 AM

I had a weird few weeks where I was up a little and now, the weight came down a little from my lowest, so I"m happy! I'm really looking forward to seeing a 5 after the 1 in my weight....hopefully by the next weigh in. The weight loss has seemed to really slow down recently and I'm doing everything I can to keep my head on straight. I'm so impressed with everyone posting here. Keep up the incredible effort!

underanalysis 08-25-2014 10:09 AM

I was lower yesterday, but I'm trying to be good and post my weight on the date actually listed on the spreadsheet. ;) This has been a very nice visual to have, though.

Like, I was a bit "ugh" about popping back up to 137.2 this morning, but then when I looked at the spreadsheet I could see how far I'd come, and that I was still down from last Monday anyway, and it was very cheering.

garnetrising 08-25-2014 02:56 PM

Lol! I was just thinking about how awesome you'd done when I went to look at the spreadsheet this morning. :) You're doing great!
