Hi ladies; just wanted to pop in before I start working "hard for the money" (it's playing on the radio right now).

Not much going on here; woke up to thunder and rain this morning but glad for the cooler weather today. I understand you northeastern ladies are getting unusually cooler weather for this time of year. Enjoy!!

Thanks Barb and Natalie for your suggestions; I don't have any more room at the house for exercise equipment; all of my mom and dad's furniture and stuff is in there. I really need to get out of the house more and that's one reason I would like to go to a gym. In the early 1980s (the Jane Fonda, leotards and leg warmers days) there was a ladies workout place here in the town where I work; I had a membership there but they closed after a few months. I really did enjoy it.

Oh, oh, time is slipping away from me; better get to work.

Just stopping in to wish everyone Sweet Dreams!

Ended up having a pretty good day here - stayed OP, exercised, drank lots of water, and had a nice evening w/ DH. Now I am sleepy and off to my comfy bed!
See you tomorrow!

OK, since y'all are so nosey (and why it took forever for me to post today ), here is the lowdown on what happened

Well, I was up all morning just in case, and nothing happened; just as well, because I didn't feel like getting dressed anyway since it was one of those yucky rainy mornings.

By early afternoon, the sun had popped out, and still nothing, so I figured nothing was going to happen, the with him and the horse he rode in on, put on my grotty old T shirt and shorts and went for a run.

Not long after I came back to the house and was doing some cool down streches, did I hear this off-key voice singing outside my window:

"I know you wanna leave me,
But I refuse to let you go.
If I have to beg, plead for your sympathy,
I don't mind,
Cause you mean that much to me..."

And on and on...

I knew that terrible voice ruining the Temptations' "Ain't Too Proud To Beg" anywhere!

I was on the floor laughing so hard I couldn't stand it. First this guy flies halfway across the country, then makes an of himself singing in my front yard, and when I finally do get my wits about me, here I am, still in my crappy clothes I ran in, open my front door, to find Brian on his knees with another rose between his teeth, with this puppy dog look in those big blue eyes.

I cracked up laughing again! The look on his face alone was comic.

Now, how I could I not forgive him after all that?

Naturally, we had a long talk. Not only about what happened, but he's wanting to move here and is going apartment/job hunting while he is in town. "What about your offer back home?" He didn't seem to thrilled about it; he wants to look into something better. Besides, he said, he wants to get away from Crazy Lady, he wants someone more grounded and "with some sense in her head," and accepts him "with all his warts."

Then we went out to eat after he makes the joking comment "since there is no food in your house but 'chick food' anyway." (What is 'chick food?' ) I still ate a salad.

Glad to hear everyone else had a good day too!

Hey everyone

It has been another day OP. That loss yesterday really did get me refueled to finish out this second week. That tight, focused feeling is so incredible. I¡¦m glad it doesn¡¦t have to be maintained permanently, though. I am looking forward to next week and having my carb allowance doubled, won¡¦t even lie to you about that!
It is so amazing to find out how tightly I am tied to my carbs. I did an ultra low carb diet years ago and lost 60 lbs. in two months. Thing is, it was so stark and lacking in balanced nutrition that I became very ill and have been afraid to touch any form of low carb diet since. I¡¦m happy most plans now aren¡¦t so off the wall. The further I travel down this path, the more I realize it is all about finding balance in every aspect of my life.

I have a great idea for Lori. Instead of writing a book or a soap opera, I think she should get her own reality tv show going. The current saga is way more fun than anything else out there.

Homebound, what is TSH? I feel like I missed something there.

Joanne, you are the WOMAN!!! Way to meet a goal!

Connie, I understand crowded house syndrome. I have one of those big, super cool, totally love it, yoga balls, but it takes up so much space in my living room I don¡¦t keep it out as much as I should. And it isn¡¦t like you can deflate one of those and just reinflate every time you want to use it. Inflating is like two workouts all by itself!

Barb, glad you are feeling more yourself. I think spreading out your meals is the best way to go as well. That is pretty much what I¡¦m doing right now. Keeps the blood sugar levels normal, and that means the hungries don¡¦t attack so viciously.

Lucky, thank you!

Terri, the lake sounds like a blast! I haven¡¦t been to any of ours in ages. Just too busy, I guess? So glad you didn¡¦t lose all your stuff.

Mary, sounds like it is raining clear across the country. Hope the car repairs are just basic. You back on the wagon?

Natalie, strawberries + daquiris= no problem with that kind of math for me! 4 days of vacation sound heavenly. And yes, it does all feel worth it now.

Sandy, off to surf? Like as in surfboards or the Internet?

2cute, I don¡¦t know how you are keeping it all up. You are certainly made of tougher stuff than this chick. I want to see pictures of this house¡K or better yet, really do hold that spring fling and I¡¦ll find some way to get there!

Thin, thanks for starting the new thread. Definitely a good way to let us know you are there, even if you are too busy to post. ļ

OK, bedtime for this chicky. I passed around a bunch of resumes yesterday and there has been one really cool nibble. Please cross your fingers for me! I also have a job interview at one of the local credit unions at 10 a.m. The pay isn¡¦t all that, but the hours would work with what I already have. Plus, it would mean not having to drive the 45 some odd miles to St. George every day to work. I need to be closer to where the girls go to school.

Good night!

Andria

P.S. I typed this up in Word and did a copy/paste over to here. Guess it grabbed every contraction and made it look funky. I'd fix it tonight, but I'm too tired!

Angry Good Morning!

Hi Gals - Rise and Shine! Happy Hump Day!

It's a rainy day here, but I am not complaining - the yard needs some rain.

For breakfast today I made a yummy crepe recipe that is posted over on the "Food" message board. It was a lot of food and very filling for about 5 points and about 250 calories. I also bought the ingredients for the Pop Cake recipe that I am going to make one day this week.

Lori - Wow! That man has got it bad for you! Wishing you all the best for a happy ending to this crazy situation.

Joanne - Way to go! Congrats on the loss!!!

Homebound - Thanks for the info on the thyroid site. I didn't realize that a high TSH means low function. It's all so confusing. Good luck on weigh-in today. Let us know how it goes.

Andria - Good job staying OP!!! TSH stands for Thyroid Stimulating Hormone. I recently had a blood test that showed my TSH level was higher than normal and I am just trying to find out as much as I can about it. I have an appt. to see a specialist, but not until November. I hope the job interview goes well!

Pam - Sounds like you had a lot of fun yesterday. It's great to see old friends!

Mary - Good Morning. Why are you so stiff today? You have to come back and fill us in.

Alright - time to get some work done! Talk to you later!

Morning Ladies,

No time for individual replies. Just wanted to say I'm here reading up on all your great comments. Today is my last day of work this week. I am anxiously awaiting a very much needed 4 days off. I have absolutely no plans and I love it that way. I just hope the weather clears up, it's a little cloudy here.

I've got to get some work done today or I'll have a total mess when I get back on Monday. Chat with you all tonight!
