OMG. It don't get much better than shrimp.

Well, it does. But let me elaborate.

I eat shrimp because they give A TON of protein for SO LITTLE calories. I am talking virtually no calories.

So they are amazing for weight loss.

The only drawback versus something like salmon is that shrimp have less good fats (Omega 3s). And I am big into Omega 3s for reasons you should all know by now (hair looks nice, skin looks nice, joints get lubricated which you kinda need when running 6 miles a day).

So, a can of salmon...200 calories, lots of protein with Omega 3s in abundance.

A can of shrimp...70 calories, lots of protein with less Omega 3s.

(Same goes for fresh).

Get the trade-off?

I tend to eat both in one sitting!

But GO SHRIMP GO! And watch that scale slide.

Husband gets a fun day out. Diana gets more skinny. Marriage heaven!

So, food was not the best, but got in 5 miles at the rail trail, starting with completing my final C25K workout.

I logged everything in myfitnesspal, 524 in the hole, but was completely honest logging, so proud of that, as well as my exercise.

I should add this was not totally unplanned eating, kind of my normal weekend eating, but getting better at paying attention on these days.

Best to all

Started Nov. at 165.7 shooting for 5 pound loss, we'll see.

Thanks everyone. FIL is back with us and was OK last night. I hope he stays that way.

I will check in now because, while I am not done eating for the day, I won't get another chance before tomorrow as I fly in a few hours.

Down 1.8lbs today to 169.

Breakfast: 2 pieces of toasted low-calorie bread with raw mushrooms and mayo light. Some olives. 1 coffee, milk, no sugar.

Lunch: A small lunch: sardines, crab, 4 olives, argula, mixed greens, mushroom, a little hummus, cous cous.

Dinner: Will eat on the plane. I will try to pick fish if they have it. Else I may not eat. I will drink a lot. I will not eat dessert.

Exercise: None.

yesterday was way overboard with junk food in general...leftover Halloween plus other goodies plus a fun night at school...ugh ....I chalked it up to a "free day" and have been much better behaved today....ive barely eaten chocolate or any other sugar and am on track today....did not work out as it was a planned rest day

I find it ironic that what I call "rest day" really means "too busy to go to the gym" LOL not exactly restful

Hi Everyone!

Ian Check in when you can.

Kelijpa What kind of dog do you have? We just got a Boykin Spaniel at the end of July. He's 5 months old now and a terror to boot! I roasted some cauliflower for lunch, too! It was awesome! I have never roasted frozen veggies. The cauliflower was frozen and turned out perfect! Happy Birthday!

GMNEVO Congrats on your progress! Keep up the great work!

Inkrid We keep hearing that we need to eat more beans since they are so good for us, right? The chocolate must be ok, then. How did it go today?

Time4me2change Hang in there with that situation. I hope you are feeling better.

Happygal Glad your day went well and you got that workout in.

Alaskanlaghter Has anything else happened with those phone calls at work?
