Congratulations!
I know gyms can be intimidating. I'm proud of you for creating an alternative and making it work for you! Way to go!
On the note of that quote, I distinctly remember a plus-size woman running at my old gym. She was the reason I believed I might be able to do it, and the reason I started to. I never told her the impact she made on me, but that was the first time in my life I started running for exercise, and it was wonderful. I know from personal experience how hard it can be to step in that gym, to step outside, or to give weight loss a go (for many folks, 'yet again'). So, whenever I see a larger person exercising, I regard them with admiration and a sense of "good for you". It's not easy to face a lot of weight gain, whatever the approach. I definitely applaud anyone who chooses to do so! But I never say it. I guess I'm one of the silent cheerleaders out there. I, too, like to believe there are many of us.
