Hi there! I'm new to the group but have lurked from time to time. I'm on a weight loss journey right now. It's not my first go around. Three years ago I went from weighing 175 to my lowest at 139. I was happy around 140/145. It took me about 6 months to get there. Problem is I did it the wrong way. I cut my calories big time, only consuming anywhere from 800-1000 calories a day if that. I lost the weight and felt great though. About 1.5 years later I had gained back majority of the weight and now 3 years later I'm the heaviest I've ever been. I have tried off and on for about 8 months now to get the weight off but I can never get past 176. Right now I'm 177. My 10 year class reunion is in 5.5 weeks and I desperately want to get at least 15 lbs. off by then. I just need some help. I work out about 3-5 days a week. I do Zumba Fitness and I bike ride and do light weight lifting. I eat pretty well in my opinion. I try to stick around 12-1350 cals a day. I was having 1 day a week cheat day but I gave that up since I'm getting down to the wire before my reunion. My overall goal date is January 1st. Any suggestions on getting as much off as I can in the next 5.5 weeks though? Thanks!!
Well, my recommendation is to keep doing what you're doing. I know you are anxious about your reunion, but it sounds like you are already doing everything you can to be healthy and it will just take some time.
You could take a good look at your diet and cut out any remaining junky stuff, if any has crept in there.
