Stretch marks on my legs?

  • Bummer. /sigh

I'm noticing stretch marks actually on my ankles. I think it's because I almost reached 300lbs this summer and I'm finally losing weight again but it happened within a span of maybe 5 months.

However, I don't care if I look like a zebra once I've lost the weight, I still want it off!
  • Same here I have a lot of them along my thighs and tush, as well as upper and lower tummy. They will shrink, they will fade (some of mine are still a pink-sh purple color, but getting lighter!), and I know I will think of them like battle scars as I continue to lose

on your weight loss so far!!
  • I wouldn't worry too much about stretch marks on your legs. I have a friend who is slim and always has been and even she has stretch marks on her legs, right around her knees. She says it's because she grew a lot one year!

On the other hand, I have stretch marks all over my thighs from being obese my entire life. I feel like the ones are my legs are a lot less noticeable than the ones on my stomach and even my boobs!

You've definitely got the right attitude. As I'm getting smaller I care less about them and I actually plan on rocking a bikini, stomach stretch marks and all, in less than a month!!
  • I have them on my thighs, by boobs, and my stomach from my second baby. Still would rather be thin with stretch marks than fat with stretch marks.
  • I have them on my calves from middle school when I grew really fast and played a couple sports. They are white now, and you can barely barely see them. Great attitude, and definitely keep them moisturized!
  • I tell myself that I can't do anything about the stretch marks I have, I just have to be sure that I don't add any more!
  • Try Palmer's Cocoa Butter. It works pretty well for me .
  • I have them on the sides and behind my knees, plus my upper thighs, sides, and stomach.

    Meh.
  • I have them on my upper upper thighs from pregnancy. It's not that bad and honestly doesn't bother me much. There are very few circumstances in which the general public would see that area of my body!
  • If they are pretty new, try massaging Bio oil on them twice daily. Do a search for it. YouTube has a lot of testimonial videos on it.
  • I honestly just believe we've been conditioned to think stretch marks are ugly from being constantly shown women without them on television and in magazines.

They aren't so bad once they've settled down and turned white. They are a little alarming when they're red though.
