Good Morning ladies!

Monday: Today is Mission Monday and our mission today is to stay OP ALL DAY!

Jana: The problem with what is going on here is that the complex is not rentals but property. Now, these are about 25 years old and a lot of these folks bought them new. They are now in their 70's and above, are passing away and the condos are being sold to investors for rental property. I have renters on both sides of me and across the street. They could care less about it because it doesn't belong to them and in this case, looks like they just up and possibly abandoned it. We haven't seen anyone live there for at least 8 weeks. I have seen her grown son pick up the mail with his girlfriend though. I just want to repeat how proud I am of you and your weight loss. You keep working hard!

Missy: Woohoo, 2 guys? How great is that? I guess when they ask you where you want to go to dinner, you need to start telling them the Salad shack or something! Hey, don't worry about figuring things out here, I probably will never know how to do all the stuff properly. I just muddle along!

Sandy: Mind some advice from an old married (31 years) lady? I see the bigtime lack of commitment by young men nowadays. Your spouse is not alone. My son is one of them. Luckily, he hasn't been stupid enough to marry anyone yet. I know it is hard to love someone and they tell you that though they love you they don't want to be married. BOLOGNA! The truth is, he wants to play around with other women so the only excuse he has is that one. You are a smart cookie to suggest what you did to him (counseling etc), but since he refuses to consider it, your best option is just letting the baby go. He is immature and obviously needs to grow up and there is nothing you can do about that if he is not willing to try and save your marriage. As much as this hurts, you have to go on for you! You are a wonderful and beautiful young woman and there is someone out there that will love you to pieces some day. You have lots of friends here so come and cry on our shoulders. You can PM me anytime and I will help any way I can! (you are in my prayers)

To the rest of you little devils who have been busy this weekend, hope to see you sometime today.

Deon: I am still praying for you and your family! Keep your chin up sweety!

Ok, here is the laugh's on Faye for the day:

I went to the pool yesterday and was doing my exercises. I felt this lump on my stomach and wondered what the heck it was. All I am going to say is TOM and you should be able to figure it out! Yup! Only I could have something like that happen!

You ladies have a really good day and remember to work hard and stay on your program today!

Faye

Morning Beautiful ladies,
I'm on my way out the door to work, but had to come post first. I got an e mail from my boss over the weekend that we need to shift some work responsibilities????? Wonder whats up now? Do I even want to know? She sometimes gets stressed and I need to talk her down a bit and show her the big picture.

I also have my last Daisy meeting with the little girls today. Today they bridge to Brownies, so that will be fun. Next year I hope they all come back.

Faye: Your pool story today....OMG>.....you make me laugh, but did remind me that I think its time for my TOM, so better wear some coverage today.

Sandy: Sorry to hear about you and your hubby. I wish you well in however it turns out. I don't have much advice for you on this subject sorry.

Janna: That would be nice to see a pic of you too. I like putting faces with names. And what a jerk that man was that put the anti freeze out. I can't believe no one could do anything to him, is there no animal rights laws in your state? I hate people like that.

Missy: 2 men, you keep them hopping!!!!

Gotta run now girlies, check in with you later.

Hi girls, happy monday...ugh. My only thought to get me thru this day is watching the crappy reality show "For Love Or Money" tonight LOL. I'm a reality addict and I keep telling myself that all I need to do is get thru the day and I'll be good.

Hopefully I'll be able to stay on plan today since I'm still feelin sick. Grrr. But what can you do?

Sandy ~ I'm very sorry to hear about your husband. I hope that things do work out which ever way they were meant to be. Stay strong, you know us "cyber ladies" still love you! Big hugs sweetie!

Faye ~ TOM? I'm totally lost. LOL

Peek ~ 2 men is not as much fun as it sounds. Especially when I got 2 sorta like Sandy's hubby...immature and difficult to deal with. But at least I get some free meals out of it. LOL

Anyway, not much else going on here. HOpefullyt he rest of the crew will find their ways here soon. Hope everyone is having a good day, I'll be writing back later today.

Love ya,
Missy

Wow, it's nice to have a full house, lol.

Missy - hope your sore throat is better today. You could try my mom's advice and gargle with some warm salt water. It tastes nasty, but it sure does work!

Sandy - ((((HUGS)))) for you! Just keep in mind that it is HIS loss, and not yours. We'll be here for you, and you can vent all you want, okay?

Faye - I'm proud of YOUR weight loss, too. It's easier to do with the support on the boards, isn't it?

Peek - I sure hope your boss doesn't pile more work on you. Good luck with that.

Re: the creep with the antifreeze - I always say what goes around comes around, so I'm sure he'll get his! Thank goodness we don't live by him anymore.

I've got a good start on the laundry and housework and plan to spend some time in the little pool with the babies and DD22 today. They've never been in a pool so it will be a lot of fun to watch their reactions......... I just love being a grandma.

If any of you like casseroles and like chicken and rice, you have to try this frozen product - Stouffer's Family Recipes - Grandma's Chicken and Vegetable Rice Bake. It is not "diet" but works out to be 7 points for 1 cup. It is really good, and I round it out will a salad and some green beans. It is so simple, too - just toss it in the oven or microwave.

TTFN,
Jana

Missy: I totally missed the sore throat thing and I have a slam bang remedy. It is called something like Dr Serle's old fashion remedy or something like that, but I am telling you I have never ever had it not work. It is 8 oz cup hot water, 1 tablespoon honey and 1 tablespoon vinegar (I use white) you drink it. Now it may take 2-3 doses, (it tastes sort of like sweet and sour, but it isn't horrible at all) and I guarantee it works. TOM-Time of the Month (now you see why it's funny!)

Jana: Good to see you this morning. How is that garden coming along? I am very jealous of your green thumb. If someone brings me a plant, the poor thing says, "Well, just bury me, cause Faye will definitely kill me in a week!"

Peek: Do they have PRE-Brownies called Daisys now? Brother, I am sure old. Kel was in Brownies and I was a troop leader. I liked having the boys better believe it or not (less squealing!)

As for the subject of men. They are adorable, but basically pains in the tushies, even the old guys! I have learned to live with things that drive me nuts like he ignores me when I am talking to him. Every once in awhile, I will climb up his tree about it, like talk gibberish and then ask him what I said, but you have to take the good and the bad and we are no picnics all the time either. I mean I am perfect, but there are so few of us!

Oooh, I am kind of excited. I got an e-mail from our newspaper that the law firm has requested my resume. The paper forwarded a message to me from them about what they were looking for. He wants someone to run the front office. I would be in hog heaven, but he may want someone that knows all their software and I probably don't though I could learn. One thing I do know that a lot of the younger ones don't is 3 types of Wordperfect because that is what the firm I worked at used until right before I left. The office manager at the law firm LOVES me so I know I would get a spectacular reference from her and the company I worked for here canned the old bat I worked for (and the reason I quit) three weeks after I quit there and the woman that does the references likes me too so I would get an ok one from there too. I am the only former support staff employee at the law firm that the office manager has ever let roam the office when I come to visit without an escort. I always request one, but last time I visited, she said, "You know your way around here better than most, so just go ahead and visit with us."

Well, I have had nothing to eat this morning so I really need to get something in my stomach.

Wink Howdy All

Good afternoon Everyone

Did you all have a good weekend?? It was a rainy one here....big surprise! Sorry for being MIA, but I usually am away from my computer on the weekends. I cherish the 2 days that I get to spend with my hubby and I really don't get much time to come online.

We spent the weekend, thru the rain, working in our flower beds. Weeding. How exciting, With all this rain, weeds and grass are growing a zillion times faster! Everything looks nice and clean now

I haven't had a chance to look through the posts, so I hope everyone is doing good with their exercise and eating plans?? I continue to do well with my eating, and for that, I am very happy

I will go ahead and check out what has been happening with everyone. I just wanted to check in and say "hello"

Will check back later!

Hugs!

Talking Me Again...

A few post scripts now that I have skimmed through the posts.

Missy: I sure hope that your throat is feeling better today! Sore throats are NOT fun

2 guys!! Wow!! You could have your own little bachelorette show going on here, Which one will she choose Oh to be young and single again....NOT IN A MILLION YEARS. Well, not the single part, anyway,

Peek: Glad to hear that you were down in weight when you last checked. Hope that by weigh-in tomorrow, you are still pleased with yourself

I totally agree with you on the clothing thing!! Little kids are dressing WAY TOO OLD for their age. Guess we can thank Britney Spears for that. I don't know what is wrong with the parents that let them out the door that way. Kids are just growing up way too fast nowadays.

Sandy: I am very sorry to hear about your current situation! It must have been devastating for you to hear this from the person you love. How long have you been married? I am so sorry that he won't even go for counseling. I am not sure of your/his age. This is not a "midlife crisis" type of thing, is it? :::sigh::: All I can say is to remember to take care of yourself during all of this. You have to do what works for YOU. You can't force him to go to counseling and you can't force him to do what he may not be willing to do. You deserve someone who is going to make you feel like you are the most important thing in the world to them! Do you have any children, Sandy? I am definitely going to include you in my prayers. I can only imagine how hurt and angry you must feel right now. Please lean on your family and friends for support, and, of course, us here! Vent any time you need. We may not have all the answers, but between all of us, there are alot of ears to listen and shoulders to cry on! Take care of yourself!!

Jana: Great to see posting from you

I see that you, too, are a WATP fan! Missy said she was getting shin splints also. Hmmmm.....I do the tapes and I haven't experienced that--thankfully! I hope it eases up for you 2 soon!

A big congratulations on your 2 lb. weight loss Good for you!! That is great that you have rewards in place. That sure helps How long has it taken you to lose the 13 lbs.?? Keep up the excellent work

Faye: How is your hubby doing this week? What a nightmare that must have been with his little accident Friday!! Poor guy!

Best of luck to you in regard to the position you are seeking! I am sure that you will get it Sounds like you would be a perfect fit : : :

I think I got everyone! I am getting really really ! All that back breaking work from the weekend is catching up with me.

Hubby is gone til Wednesday. He is attending a trade show for his job in Boston. So, I will be alone. Which I HATE So, don't be surprised if I am up posting in the middle of the night, !!

Enjoy the rest of the afternoon!

Hugs!

Hey girls...how'd your day go so far? Mine was pretty good....has my english muffin w/jelly, some tea (only 4 sugars thank you very much LOL), my signature spaghettios for lunch, and some FF pudding for dessert. I'd say that's a pretty good day so far. And mommy is making me some pork and sauerkraut for dinner...soo, it should all be good.

Peek ~ You are/were a daisy leader? Awesome! I was thinking about working on being one in my spare time...how often can they meet and for how long? (I was a girl scout for the LOOOOOONG haul, brownies all the way up to Seniors...and I guess technically I still am, if I'd pay my dues...even got my Gold Award....and let me tell you...I'm glad I did..got $500/year for that in college!)

Jana ~ My dad must be from the same school as your mom! He had me gargling with salt water ALLLLL day yesterday...I felt like I was drowning in the ocean...BUT it did help!

Faye ~ That remedy sounds a little sketchy, but I may give it a whirl tonight. I do remember my mom making me drink some honey concotion when I was little, but hey, anything is worth a shot, right? TOM, yes it is QUITE funny now that you explain it to me LOL. Also a big congrats on the potential new job!!!

Michelle ~ You are right, 2 guys = no fun. But what can you do? LOL It is a handful to deal with, especially when they are older and SUPPOSED to be mature, but that is debateable at some times...I actually am not getting the splints from WATP, they are more from just walking outside....WATP hasn't hurt anything yet! Hopefully you won't be too lonely tonight, you'll at least have somem posts to read. LOL

Alright ladies, I'm out of work...adios, have a great day!

Luv ya,
missy

Hi girls,
Wow, where did the day go? I was busy all day at work, then the Daisy Scouts (yes this is the first step in Brownies now), finally home and cooked supper, now I get to chat with some of my favorite people.

Faye: fingers are crossed, arms, legs, toes, eyes, um everything I can think of is crossed for you to get the job you want.

Men being babys? I have 3 children, 5, 11, and 34 and the 34 year old is the biggest, so that should say it all.

Michelle: We will totaly excuse you for not posting over the weekend for that excuse!!! Family time is so important, LOL, I say that as I sit here on the computer....hahahaha, but my kids and hubby are right here in the same room. Sorry your hubby is gone till Wend. hope you fare okay....just think of the time you can have when he gets home.

Missy: So are you running your own Bachlor show or what????Let them treat you nice for a while...thats the way to go, then find out which one is the better of the two and if thats the one you want.

Jana: I had to laugh when you talked about the thread being slow....it may be slow but the last thread had 72 posts on it with 545 views so, although people arnt posting they sure are reading.

Okay chat with you all later,

Peek

Just a reminder that tomorrow is Target Tuesday. To give you a head start, our target for tomorrow will be.........working on that one area you are weakest; exercise, behaviour modification, food triggers, whatever. I want you to think about targeting what gives you the most trouble. Really think about what that might be and if you wish to share it tomorrow, we may have some ideas about how to help!

You are one terrific group! You help each other, work hard at your programs, deal with stress as well as you can and have a good positive attitude. This adds up to weight loss and more importantly weight learning!

I want thank you for all your thoughts and prayers regarding dh. He came out of his nasty little dunking pretty much unscathed except for a sore arm from his shot and one butt cheek. It is FULL of bug bites, but then I always knew he was sweet!

Missy: I know that the sore throat remedy sounds weird, but I swear it works. I happen to find it in a medical book I have that deals with first aid and the like. You're not German by any chance are you? I miss my grandma's sauerkraut and pig hocks! I remember her crock of kraut sitting in the kitchen covered with a kitchen towel, sort of aging like fine wine! Sure miss stuff like that in the day of the fast and frozen food! I am not sure my kids have ever even eaten sauerkraut and I had it a lot growing up. My mom used to put sugar on it when we were little.

Michelle: My husband used to do these trade shows and travel all over the country and he would bring me back stuff from them. He worked in the plastics industry at the time and I guess he thought I would be thrilled with the plastic back scratcher or fly swatter! The one thing he brought home that was ok by me was the Lindor Chocolates. They had been packaged in a plastic cylinder and Jack brought home a carload of the things. This chocolate is out of this world. You can buy it now at any Target, but definitely stay away the stuff is addicting! You come and post any old time and I am sure someone will be here from time to time!

Peek: Hope you didn't have too rough a day a work and your bosses responsibility shifts were not too stressful!

Well ladies, I guess I am going to wrap it up for tonight.

Deon, Jana, Elle, Sandy see you all tomorrow!

Lindor chocolates make me feel as though I have died and gone to heaven. We are talking the round balls that are filled with different flavors. OMG they are to die for........and dangerous. They are 25 cents a piece here and when I see them occasionally I will treat myself to 2 or 3 and savor every single bite.

Hi gang!

Well, another Monday has gone by and 4 more days before I meet my online love for the first time! I am nervous as all get go .....

I was a Brownie Scout as a girl, and when I had gotten old enough to be a Girl Scout, my parents moved (AGAIN) and I never did get into the Girl Scouts. Oh well

Psst...I was addicted to the Thin Mints Girl Scout cookies, but nowdays any cookie like that in the house is asking for trouble...it's like the Lay's commercial: "You can't eat just one." I have the fat free Fig Newtons in the house and that is it...they are the only ones that don't taste like cardboard--and the best thing is: I haven't opened the package yet!

Bri is 180 pounds and can eat about anything and not gain an ounce. Me, I look at chocolate crossways and it's on my hips!

I know I know, it has been awhile. I had a long weekend and I survived it. I had my nephews graduation and I can say the day turned interesting at best. Well it's like this, long story short. The family get together after the graduation was at my sisters very recent ex-husbands house with all of his family which she hates and my parents were there who are also recently divorced and havent been to any family get togethers since the break up and my Dad has a girlfriend which Mom hasnt met yet, Mom doesn't like my sisters in laws at all and is a very bitter woman. So there ya have it. I think I should write a song. But it turned out ok anyway, you could just cut the tension in the room!!

I am staying pretty close to OP. It is hard to not just go and everything but at the same time I want to keep off this 31 lbs and I want to continue losing and feeling good. I had an order of "freedom" fries the other night and had heart burn later that evening and I havent had heart burn in a long time, so it made me appreciate eating well.

I have also been getting alot of walking in because DH needs to get up and move somewhat. He is doing OK may be back to work within a week or so. So he thinks, I wish he would take more time but he is afraid of losing his security in his job. Long story.

If I can make through the rest of this week I think I will make it, even though I am not sure how I am going to pay all the bills, but what can I do, I dont have one of those trees in my back yard, you know a money tree. I just need to keep up the prayers and have faith, we did get ourselves into this mess so I guess we will get ourselves out of it.

Well I am about to fall asleep here so I must go.

Good morning!!!!!!!!!

I am 36 and he is 43, yeah I do think that this is his change of life. As far as kids I have one from my first marriage. That one ended becasue he became violent once and I was not going to stay there. They way I felt was if he could hit then he might hit out son so I left. My feeling are you can hit me but you better not touch my baby. I got lucky he never hit me and as far as I know he didn't him my son. I promise that I will catch up soon. Taking a few days to heal and sort things out.

What a morning. I was here once in the midst of a post, and I was chatting with another girl on another thread and then........the school bus gets here and the lights are not working, so the bus driver has to come in and use the phone to call the school to request another bus to come, so I had to get off the phone line. I was and still am in my jammies, luckily it was substitue driver and a woman....the regular driver is John, he is a really nice man, but would not want him to see me in my jammies .

Okay, with that said, today is official Weigh in day for me....and the verdict is in.....I lost a total of 4.5 lbs this week, that gives me my little boot in the *** to get myself going again.

Deon, things will get better. I hope your hubby lets himself heal before he attempts work again. Money is tight here too, because it seems when it rains it poors, meaning everything comes due at one time....insurances, house, car, truck, boat, loans.....not to mention your regular stuff like groceries, lights, heat or air, phone etc....oh well, life will continue....my hubby always says Dont stress!!! So I am just passing it on, don't stress honey, you will make yourself sick and you don't want that. {{{HUGS}}} to you.

Sandy: Remember what Michelle said and take some time for youself and heal yourself. We will be here for you anytime you want to vent or just talk. {{{Hugs to you}}}

Faye: Target Tuesday....hummmmmmmm I think maybe salt? I will try not to add any extra salt today.

Michelle: where are you? Come back come back....lol, I like reading your posts.

Missy:

Daisys was fun, but think I will like the Brownies better. Daisys you can't sell cookies or anything, you can't leave your room and the list goes on....to many rules, but the girls enjoyed it and it is a good way to break yourself in, but from experience make your meetings only 1 hour, you loose 5 year olds attention really fast . But good luck.

Jana: Calling Jana? Hope your day is going well.
