Default Weighed in and did not lose a single lb. so guess what I did?

Well,,,,,I worked hard and was strict with myself and cannot believe that I did not lose a single pound. I was at 24 lbs and was so sure I was going to hit the 30 lbs mark..as I could feel the weight loss....you know what I mean when you can feel it..your clothes your face etc... Well I was so upset..what did I do....... I stopped at McDonald and had a double cheese burger and Junior chicken and small fry; but I drank a bottle of water. Yep...I was so pissed and made a conscious decision to stop and eat. I don't even like McDonald's. Why didn't I just keep going and have my pudding; too disappointed with the scale I guess. Also, being the chip addict..why didn't I go buy a bag of chips I would've enjoyed that a whole lot better.
Well, back to the drawing board I guess.

I have been there, as have most people on this board. Sometimes the scale surprises us(although not usually in a good way - why is that?). Keep going..I bet your loss will show up next weigh-in.

I have done that more times than I care to admit but it has been less and less recently. You will learn from it, keep going.
Hugs.

I did the same thing sort of today too i haven't budged in a week weight wise and my husband is all just relax and have a donut... You've done great so far.. Oh and here have some chips...
I fell off the horse again (
We just have to find the strength to get back on again and keep at it. I feel terrible right now but I have to keep thinking how worse it felt to be 32lbs heavier.
It's hard but it'll be worth it

And my husband needs a telling off for always helping me cheat

Yeah, the scale can be a *******. I try to think about where I have come from on those days rather than where I am. And spouses can be downright dastardly! My wife just offered me chocolate and was surprised/upset when I said no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The body is weird. There's times I go to the gym 7 days in a row for an hour, bust serious @ss and don't lose an ounce. 2 weeks later I totally slack off and lose a pound. Go figure. Just keep going.

So sorry Been there, done that.

Is this a weigh-in for a specific program, like WW? Or just your own personal weigh-in? I ask, because if it's not something absolutely necessary, you might want to forego the weigh-ins, particularly if a disappointing result might trigger you to go off plan. I say this because scales are such a poor indicator of progress and one moment in time just doesn't tell the whole story.

In my past, I found myself overeating both on good weigh ins and bad, if you can believe that! Unexpected good news was just as likely to trigger me to overeat as bad news. Almost a celebration, like WOW! I did so well; I'm going to eat to reward myself!

So I don't weigh myself anymore. I use other things as guidelines, like how my clothes fit, how I fell, etc - much like you did before you weighed. You KNEW you'd stayed on plan, and it WILL have eventually showed upon the scale. It just didn't at that moment in time.

If it's an official weigh-in, maybe you could ask them to only weigh you once a month or so. Or to weigh you and not tell you

As others have written - just shake it off and get back in the saddle. You can do this!

I'm sorry we have all been there though. I have done it more times than I would like to count. And then I feel guilty afterwards. We are only human, we all make mistakes. Don't let it get you down though! I felt the same way when the scale wouldn't move but you may be building muscle in places you just can't tell yet! stay positive!

Posting here about your experience is winning half the battle. Like others said, you get right back on plan now and keep going. We have all been there and done that, it's part of the experience in this battle against the scale.

We are here for you! And we can do this together!!!

I have been where you are too. Just a couple weeks ago I got on the scale and was shocked to only have lost .4!!! In the past I would freak out and do something similar to what you did. But this time I just kept on plan for that now. Now mentally I was super ticked off because i hate not meeting a goal. So what I did was wait until the next day and there it was. My 2 pound loss!!! I was soo happy yet cautious. I didn't want to get too excited because it could be a false low lol. So I weighed again the next day and I was down another .2! It laughed at myself because I freaked out for nothing lol. Just hang in there!
